Even Soludo does not believe that bogus poverty statistics made by a Yoruba man. I believe he is only using it to get at Obi, because of their personal history.

I equally believe that Soludo was what Anambra needed, and like most Ndi Anambra, was angry with the way Obi rendered him politically useless in Anambra, but personal grudges must remain personal and not be placed ahead of group interest.



I don't know how good other aspects of Peter Obi tenure was, but road construction is what any blind man can see, and in road construction, Obi had excelled.

Peter obi placed an embargo on employment, no LG and councillorship election, no empowerment or jobs for youths,civil servants were one of the least paid in the country. IGR stood at 500 million (lower than even Niger and Ebonyi) These are things you should consider as an educated fellow.

And moreover, Soludo was comparing apples with oranges, the poverty stats that placed Anambra as the state with least level of poverty rate was conducted by Kpakol led NAPEP, their stats were credible as it reflects the reality on ground. The one Soludo is using to judge Obi was conducted by the much politicized National Bureau for stats, headed by a Yoruba man and is clearly politicized and at odds with the reality on ground.

The NAPEP stats is a better stat, as they are more on ground than the NBS that stay in Abuja conjuring stats out of their anus.


There must be a monumental disaster of epic proportions, perhaps a natural disaster,for Anambra to transform from the least poverty stricken state to one of the poorest within a decade. The NBS stats is irrational/Illogical, probably cooked up to massage some people's ego, and not in agreement with the NAPEP stats nor with the realities on ground.
