I feel like the UK music industry is denying the rap genre the recognition it deserves. Rap rarely makes it to the charts these days even talent shows don't feature rap. Apart from loyal/core hip hop fans, the rest of the UK seem to gravitate towards pop music (bubble gum music) hence the likes of 1D & Ed Sheeran got the whole place on lockdown.

Hardly any UK rap artist getting mainstream airplay these days, everyone's gone underground.
