Whether anyone likes it or not, THIS COUNTRY MUST CHANGE! WE TIRED OF ALL THIS LOOTING AND EMBEZZLING BY THE PDP for 19 YEARS WITH NO CHANGE. Because of this thread, a PDP e-rat mod banned the op but even with that, he can't stop the moving train. People should stop all this bigotry. WE NEED CHANGE IN THIS COUNTRY AND BUHARI IS THE BEST OPTION WE HAVE FOR NOW. 8 Likes |

xtervaganza:Stop saying they know who the next president is, or that our votes doesn't count. Are you telling me that if we go out en masse and vote against the person they have in mind, that they will still go ahead and put that same person in? It is when we don't come out and vote that we give them the power to do whatever they like.. My brother, your vote and my vote counts...... 4 Likes |

Gloria3389: ^^^^ You owe it to yourself to perform your civic duty. You have the right to a decent life in which you can have a shot at achieving your goals. Or don't you? You concede that our leaders have fallen short. So what are you going to do about it? Complain and do nothing? At election time you have the opportunity to cast a ballot to determine how you will live (not exist!!) for the next 4 years. It is a serious matter and not one to be treated casually or lightly. (Maybe part of our problem is that flag independence came 'relatively' easily. The South Africans for example (who were massacred in their thousands by apartheid's footsoldiers) tend to take politics more seriously. They remember that the right to choose their leaders came at a great cost.) The choice is up to you. You can get interested NOW and start asking hard questions about who you want to lead you (not just at the federal level but also at the state and LG levels, and not just the executive but the legislature too). You can do your research and decide who is worthy of your vote before casting that vote early next year, be it in pouring rain or under the scorching sun. Or you can stay indoors and enjoy yourself on your playstation on election day, 'hoping' and 'praying' that somehow, someway, with no effort on your part (or the part of others who share your current view), things will 'miraculously' turn out right. The choice is yours. 2 Likes |

xtervaganza: "Our votes don't count" this is the reason why our country will NEVER develop because politician know Nigerians won't want to stress themselves to vote. To you and all others let me draw up this analysis, for example let say there are 100 Nigerians who are eligible to vote, INEC will make 100 ballot papers. Out of that 100 only 20 came to vote, leaving a balance of 80, this is what usually happens in Nigeria, the best riggers or the party in power will claim the 80 that didn't show up voted for them. INEC will do their maths at the end of the day and declare the winner. If we all come out and vote there will be no chance of rigging plus if a poliician know that he will be voted out if he doesn't perform eg Lagos Apc, he will do his bit to at least provide one form of infrastructure in his state. If Nigerians realize this then in a 12yr period this country will change for the good, let's keep voting out those that do not perform. Sentiments aside the questions you should ask yourself is has PDP provided you with water, electricity, good roads, jobs, and security that should influence your voting. |
