Gen. Buhari in his years of service to the nation has proven beyond every reasonable doubt that when it comes to securing the lives of Nigerians and the sovereignty of the nation, he is firm and decisive.

Today one of Nigerians major challenge apart from corruption is insecurity. Terrorists, militants, kidnappers and armed robbers are terrorizing innocent citizen who are going about their lawful engagements. Individuals and even an entire community living in fear for their lives.

Boko Haram and their sponsors are afraid of a Buhari's presidency and for a good reason. On this thread we will be looking at some of Buhari's record in dealing with security challenges.

God bless Nigeria!

Buhari Dealt With Chadian Invasion
In 1983 Chadian soldiers invaded Nigeria and took 19 islands in Lake Chad within Nigerian territory. The then Brigadier Buhari, who was the General Officer Commanding of the 3rd Armoured Division (which he did from November 1981 - December 1983) successfully carried out a blockade of Chad.

When he was done, all the territories were returned. The Nigerian Army under Buhari then pursued the Chadian Army as far as 50 km into Chadian territory. The 21st Armoured Brigade carried out the blockade and the fighting.

Buhari Completely Destroyed Maitatsine
The Maitatsine Sect was Nigeria's 20th Century version of Boko Haram. The sect was founded by a controversial Islamic preacher called Mohammed Marwa (best known by his nickname Maitatsine). According to Wikipedia, he was originally from Marwa in northern Cameroon. Moved to Kano, Nigeria in 1945.

He claimed to be a prophet, and saw himself as a mujaddid in the image of Sheikh Usman dan Fodio. Although a Koranic scholar, he seemingly rejected the hadith and the sunnah and regarded the reading of any other book but the Koran as paganism.

How Buhari Wiped Our Maitatsine Sect
The then military head of state, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari responded with a deafening ferocity. He literally moved in his forces to wipe off the sect from existence with the same ruthlessness that he pursued Chadian forces under President Shagari. Under Shagari, Buhari was the General Officer Commanding , 3rd Armoured Brigade, Jos, Plateau State and played significant roles in containing the Maitatsine sect.

Buhari flew to Yola and oversaw the military wipe out the sect (his popular vice, Idiagbon was out of the country). Buhari then vowed that Maitatsine would never sprout again. Actually, he dealt the sect a very severe blow. When Musa Makaniki, the new sect leader, fled to his hometown in Gombe, Buhari’s forces gave him a hot chase.

After their strings of ‘victory’ in Borno and Gongola States, Maitatsine launched another strike in the Pantami area of Bauchi State (now in Gombe State) from the 26th to the 28th of April, 1985. Before the security forces could intervene, over 100 lives were lost. General Buhari would then launch a devastating assault on the sect, leading to the arrest and prosecution of many of them, with the others fleeing.

He can wipe out boko haram because he's one of their biggest supporters. He has frustrated govt effort in tackling boko haram thus far, one wonders why Buhari always cry foul when fed govt moves against boko haram. How can foot soldiers not be afraid of their commander?

Boko Haram named Buhari as one of their representatives if they were to have talks with Federal Government.

Buhari called for Boko Haram to be hosted for dinner in Aso Rock and condemned Federal for kiling of Boko Haram members.

OP, try another angle.
Buhari will never rule Nigeria again!!!!!!!

The END Of Maitatsine
After Maitatsine’s death, his defeated followers took his body and quickly buried it. However, the exhausted Kano State government would have none of that. The soldiers got a tip-off of the location of the shallow grave and an order was given that Maitatsine’s body be exhumed. His grave was cleared up and his corpse was brought to the surface. It was then embalmed and presented before the Commission of Enquiry.

Jubilant police officers even posed with the corpse. What followed next is as dramatic as it was puzzling. The government was so determined to crush anything that left of Maitatsine that his corpse was set on fire. He was cremated. Today, his ashes, badly-burnt teeth and bone fragments are safely sealed away in a bottle at the Nigerian Police laboratory in Kano State. In a corner of an unused, dark and dusty room that reminds one of an evil dungeon, lies Maitatsine in a bottle. On the specimen bottle, is an official seal and an inscription that goes thus:

The remains of Late Malam Muhammadu Marwa alias Allah Ta-Tsine or Maitatsine.

Politics is indeed a game!

Bros, since when has Jonathan's words make meaning to you?
So you accept Jonathan's words as true?

Well, sorry to burst your bubble!
On this Buhari statement, Jonathan is on his own!

Buhari is a criminal who is honoured his victims!
Had his coup failed, Buhari would had been executed like the common criminal he is!

He is a defender of Boko Haram who campaigned for them to be hosted in Aso Rock and paid some money like Niger Delta militants.

Any body who defends a defender of Boko Haram like Buhari, may the blood of the innocent victims of Boko Haram be on his head.

Bros say Amen if you are bold!

Boko Haram and their Sponsors know that Buhari will crush them out of existence. That is why they are running a clumsy campaign of lies against him. All those accusing Buhari have not presented a single shred of evidence against him. For 5 years in power and in charge of all Security Apparatus, PDP still cannot find any tiny evidence against Gen. Buhari.

Nigerians can continue with a Jonathan that sees Boko Haram as a business opportunity (inflated security budgets, 1 billion dollar Loan, $15 million South Africa Arms Snuggling Express, Propaganda tool, etc) - Or vote Gen. Buhari who have proven time and again he will crush terrorists irrespective of who they are.

There a few people who loves Boko Haram and Buhari is one of them!
He called for them to be hosted for dinner in Aso Rock like it was done to Niger Delta militants.
Boko Haram know those that love them and that was why they named Buhari as one of their representatives if they are to discuss with Federal Govt.

The truth is this:
The old tyrant who stole the seat of power with arms, will never rule Nigeria again!
His fate has been sealed with his own mouth!
His support for total "shariaring" of Nigeria, his calls for blood in the name of campaign, his sympathy and love for the Boko Haram has sealed his fate.

Buhari, who is already addicted to failure, will surely fail again!

Buhari has called for Governement to stop killing Boko Haram!
To host them in aso Rock and give them the same treatment as Niger Delta militants.
Boko Haram named him as one of their representatives.

So what are you trying to say?

Buhari has become more of an Islamic commander than a patriot if he was ever one.
We cant forget his support for total implementation of Sharia across the 36 states.

Buhari will never rule Nigeria again.

Stop Killing Boko Haram Members – Buhari Tells FG

Former Head of Military Ruler and Chieftain of the Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, Major General Muhammadu Buhari has asked the Federal Government to stop the clampdown of Boko Haram insurgents, saying Niger Delta Militants were never killed or properties belonging to them destroyed.

Buhari who spoke on Sunday on a Liberty Radio programme, Guest of the Week monitored said accused the government of killing and destroying houses belonging to Boko Haram members while the Niger Delta militants get special treatment.

The former dictator said that unlike the special treatment given to the Niger Delta militants by the federal government, the Boko Haram members were being killed and their houses demolished by government.

While accusing President Jonathan of failing from the beginning to address the security situation in the country, Buhari said he has never been in support of the state of emergency in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa state.

According to Buhari “what is responsible for the security situation in the country is caused by the activities of Niger Delta militants. Every Nigerian that is familiar with what is happening knows this. The Niger Delta militants started it all.

“What happened is that the governors of the Niger Delta region at that time wanted to win their elections. So they recruited the youths and gave them guns and bullets and used them against their opponents to win elections by force.

“After the elections were over, they asked the boys to return the guns; the boys refused to return the guns. Because of that, the allowance that was being given to the youths by the governors during that time was stopped.

“The youths resorted to kidnapping oil workers and were collecting dollars as ransom. Now a boy of 18 to 20 years was getting about 500 dollars in a week, why will he go to school and spend 20 years to study and then come back and get employed by government to be paid N100,000 a month, that is if he is lucky to get employment.

“So kidnapping becomes very rampant in the South -South and the South -East. They kidnapped people and were collecting money.

“How did Boko Haram start? We know that their leader, Mohammed Yusuf started his militant and the police couldn’t control them and the army was invited. He was arrested by soldiers and handed over to the police.

“The appropriate thing to do, according to the law, was for the police to carry out investigations and charge him to court for prosecution, but they killed him, his in-law was killed, they went and demolished their houses.

“Because of that, his supporters resorted to what they are doing today.

You see in the case of the Niger Delta militants, the late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua sent an aeroplane to bring them, he sat down with them and discussed with them, they were cajoled, and they were given money and granted amnesty.

“They were trained in some skills and were given employment, but the ones in the north were being killed and their houses were being demolished.

They are different issues, what brought this? It is injustice”.

While fielding questions in English in the same programme, Buhari said that the promoters of the All Progressive Congress (APC) were aware of the challenges ahead of them in an effort to get the party registered, saying “the road to merger is quite rough.

“The ruling party, with its enormous resources and its capacity for coercion has seen it as a threat and they have said it. Personally, I came to realise since 2007 that Nigerians believe that the only way to stabilise the system of multi-party democracy is for the opposition parties that have representatives right from Councillors to the National Assembly come together to deliver their constituencies democratically.

This is the only way you can counter PDP’s enormous physical and material influence in the country”

He expressed optimism that the All Progressive Congress will be registered saying “by nature, I am an optimist. If I were not an optimist, I will not attempt to contest the presidency three times and end up in the Supreme Court three times. I believe we are going to be registered.

“There is a law guiding party registration which states that you must have your headquarters in the nation’s capital that can be identified by INEC and you must have a convention. All the three parties involved have held their conventions and have agreed to forsake our existing parties and go for APC.

“At the national level, we must have those who will run the party. As soon as we meet these criteria and INEC acknowledge that, 30 days after the acknowledgement, we are APC whether INEC write us and give us the registration or not”.
