You igbHOES are just too shameless. You reek of absurdity and senseless arrogance in anything you do or say. You are here claiming that igbHOES contribute the largest percentage of the IGR of Lagos state yet your impoverished erosion-ridden enclave wallow in abject poverty. Is that not a self-indictment? Thank God for Ipinle Eko, igbHOES would have been no different from the impoverished people of Somalia. Awon omo ale olori pelebe oshi.

Quite difficult to do. I would suggest you don't let it get to you and perhaps even turn it around on the clowns now and then when you have the time. We all know what has driven the bitter and negative contribution of some posters here. This is why I always tease the bigots here when I have the time or inclination. I realise that these prejudiced hack get even more upset as their negative lies and obvious bad belle are discredited.

Gone are the days when I used to take the jokers seriously. Constructive criticism is okay but such should make sense and be directly pertinent. This development is laudable as it means Lagos is on course to becoming virtually independent and self-financing. This would be a dream fiscal scenario for any Nigerian State because federal allocation can effectively be utilised for capital projects since the State can finance itself.

The report was talking about the highest IGR state from each geopolitical zone. That does not mean the 2nd in SW/SE cannot generate more than the best in the NE.

yeah. I think Kano and Kastina are in the same Zone, and Katsina was placed higher than Kano in IGR, with what is even smaller than what Kwara which leads the Northwest generates. If that is the situation I wonder why Kano State should be placed ahead of my State in Statutory allocation.

My bro, I respectfully urge you to stay out of my tete-a-tete with some posters here. You cannot know Niaraland from one thread or even from being on this forum for a year. There is no one I insult here who does not deserve it by virtue of the fact that they insulted me without provocation, at one stage or the other, while I tried to discuss productively. I used to ignore them for a long time till I realised some of them take the graciousness of others for weakness. The fool Tomakint, for example, ran around NL hurling insult at any poster who criticised GEJ. His favourite was to call every critic of GEJ old as if he is himself a teenager.

Imagine my shock when the picture-expose phase on Nairaland showed him up to be an old, ugly and scruffy hobo !!! Why should I then not pay the lying hypocrite back in his own coin when it is cretins like him destroying this forum simply because they cannot stand factual criticism of their failed messiah? As for the others, they are prejudiced and ethnocentric clowns well-known on this forum for their sectional myopia against other ethnic groups especially Yorubas, Hausas and Fulanis . I cannot stand those sort and I have no interest in being polite to them same as a black man has no kind words for a racist or white supremacist. I am a highly refined and well-mannered person and as such will never insult you and other productively polite posters but I make no apologies for insulting vile posters and uncouth agberos who feel they have a monopoly of hurling vitriol at others

gbawe....you are changing. yes you used to be polite and now,you answer posters here tit for tat. have you changed for the better or for worse i am calling you out because reading your posts in which you respond tit for tat leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.honestly!
they are in the gutter and call you to join them and you take a dive in,suit and all. abeg calm down.

we have seen crazy posters come and go on nairaland. you are still one of the few reasonable posters on this forum.please remain like that. rise above petty and childish things no matter how offended you are.
we know sensible posters on nairaland REGARDLESS OF TRIBE and we also know stupid posters REGARDLESS OF TRIBE.

Will total removal of subsidy kill subsidy cabal? No

If you agree with me, these oil thieves will simply find another means of sucking vulnerable Nigerians

The cabal in the oil subsidy sector, will seek new ventures, as Nigerians reap the improvement in the down stream sector.

Yeah, that is exactly why we need to take them on, many of them have been feasting on any topic that has to do with Lagos, SW, Fashola, Tinubu and APC as if the existence of these names will result in their extinct, instead of them to learn to tell their playboy Governors the bitter truth. Honestly, the transformation of Lagos IGR if replicated in 20 states will turn around Nigeria economy and bring about a transformation that will liberate us from this economic and political logjam that is gradually consuming the entire nation

We are saying the same thing...tax regime. My point is, the more the population, the higher the chances of a taxable population. The child will not remain a child forever, one day he will become taxable.

exactly @ the bolded....... thats why i still cant believe posters who cant make a connection between increased population and increased IGR.

the truth is that even in sane societies, taxes make up a good percentage of revenue.taxes are not a bad thing provided the government taxes REASONABLY.

Now tell me since you brother gbawe keeps shying away from the question, is it the dirty, haggard looking Yoruba woman with babies on their backs selling ewa-agoyin, okpa eyin(he local drink) or is it the touts and agberos at various bus stops in lagos or the omonile that fleece land owners that makes up the value of Lagos IGR?

You are particular about this thread, have you never seen threads sufficiently derailed by yorubas even when such threads have nothing to do with them? Both sides are notoriously guilty of same offense you accuse Kettykin of.

You try to portray yourself as objective but if you must, be a fair judge. I have my eyes on you now. Like said before, i have ABSOLUTELY no problem(s) with you. Again, pls refrain from entering the fray in such threads irrespective of your party affiliation.

It is a shame that we have converted this into a tribal war rather than ask pertinent questions such as accountability for the Internal Generated Revenue and transparency in the process these funds are generated. As a taxpayer in Lagos, I feel the state owes me a duty to explain how my money was utilised.

In other words you are saying they "will seek new ventures" but using old means, whatever way you look at it masses will still suffer.

The best way is to cut their wings, how do we do that, prosecute and jail corrupt fuel subsidy, thereby they will not infiltrate other sectors

Precisely. Frankly, this is what majority of Nigerians claim they want to see. I.e Nigerian States moving towards the ability to be financially independent and self-sustaining. The more a State nears this holy grail the more develppment partners flood in and assistance multiply
