TippyTop:Hmm..comment from parochial person. keep quoting unrealistic stats. All these does not reflect in the life of a common man and you expect a reasonable person to dance nude on the street cos our economy has surpassed that of South Africa. In sum, all the govt led unrealistic success are faux and facetious. |

GOOD work needs no advert. If a party that has been in power for 16 years is struggling to market itself then it has gotten it wrong already. Omokri needs to go and sit down. The damage is done already. Fact is No power in Nigeria, No job and No money to even feed. SAI BUHARI SAI BABA |

best economy with 18,000 per month as minimum wage. Let me break it down to u all Nigeria's minimum wage per hour is 0.12 usd per hour while Australia that is not on this deluded list is 16.76 usd per hour |

Chars1289:US has the largest economy by nominal GDP and China has the largest by PPP. Yet the average Swiss citizen has a way better quality of life than the American or Chinese citizen. Brother world economics is not nairaland who wore it better. Nigeria is the largest economy in Africa and the 26th largest in the world based on nominal GDP and this was achieved during GEJ's tenure. It is based on clear verifiable facts and figures and is internationally accepted by all the major financial houses world wide. You will begin to feel the impact when you get off nairaland and begin to hold your thieving APC governors senators , LG chairmen etc responsible instead of shouting SAI Buhari. |

drsteroid: isan: What are the state governments doing too? Must everything be rested on the Fed government.. Why do we blame everything on the fed gov? What jobs has state gov created? Take for example, now that the power sector has been privatised, it rests on the shoulders of the state govs to ensure those companies perform well since the state govs tax the organizations.. But here in Lagos, a company by name Eko destribution company supplies us power for less than 48 hours in a month but bill us 14k per month. An amount enough to run generator for 140hours. This is an organization that bares the popular Lagos name "Eko" as its name. So why was their services a bit better when it was under the fed gov? Why was PHCN/NEPA services better than that we're getting from a Lagos company? These are all we should ask ourselves. These people lift all their burdens and rest it on the shoulders of the fed gov and still complain when the government try the little they can. Let's all be just and channel blames appropriately... My people have this saying, when a man helps his son to foot his wedding bills, will that man also buy mattress for his married son? |

ojobekehinde:shut up.which huge allocations?only the niger delta states get huge allocations.lagos state gets less than 7billion monthly while delta gets 14billiom.ekiti gets around 1.8billion which is the same range with quite a number of states. |
Re: Disparaging Comments About Nigeria: Reno Confronts Buhari With Facts by francizy(m): 10:22pm On Feb 26, 2015 |
Delafruita: No need to insult. You can pass down your message without getting aggressive. Firstly how much is Lagos state generating internally? How much did Lagos state borrow throughout Fashola's administration? Why have they refused to make public the manner in which the Lagos money was spent? How many jobs did Lagos state government create? Why is it that the Ekiti that gets 1.8billion has paid all salaries while Osun and Rivers are owing workers heavily? Why is it that with all that Lagos state is generating, they have not been able to transform it to the proclaimed Nigerian Dubai? Please give us the answers to these question or there is/are no arguments here... |

Re: Disparaging Comments About Nigeria: Reno Confronts Buhari With Facts by Chars1289: 11:11pm On Feb 26, 2015 |
eaglechild: LOL..from one subterfuge stat to another. As the quality of life of an average Nigerian improved with all your inchoate economic success? (No power supply for small and medium scale businesses to grow, inventors are not looking forward to invest in a country without adequate power supply ) (Unemployment rates keeps growing in your so called fastest growing economy) (Healthcare sector is still shambolic still you claim the economy is growing) (Insecurity is nothing to be proud of and lots more The blinkered facts and figures you keep reiterating keeps me flummoxed and I begin to wonder if you are in a different country entirely. Is it not worrisome that it does not reflect in the lives of a commoner. All what you are concerned with, is the extraneous stats that is sardonic and you claim its a big achievement. In sum, it is an achievement puffed up with vanity.I call it sucess on paper. You sighted the quality of life in Sweden and America. So you want to tell me the quality of life in Nig is better than that SouthAfrica because our economy is now better than theirs. You know right within yourself that such scenario is far from the reality. My dear friend lets say the truth.I know you are besotted with Mr Jonathan reign in power but this is not the kind of country I want to see in my life time. Wake up and stop celebrating mediocrity. Anyways kudos to Mr presido for paying a courtesy visit to the military officers in Northeast after 4 years of been insouciance to his duties as GCFR. |
