My Dear slave,

Chinese, Russian, Indians dont speak English. They speak their own language and they are world powers.

Now you black English specialist, how market? Slaves....Who cares about English when it comes to entertainment?

Indians, Korea, mexicans use their language in movies....Slow pokes from village....
English is our lingua Franca and yollywood are very good at it

I love igbo people__ because, they keeep convincing themselves that they are being hated on.

Lets face reality, if they decide to create an igbo station - do we have enough content?
Do we have enough actors?

Apart from Queen Nwokoye, and a handful__ who else would be in the cast?

Majority of igbo actors have deflected to nollywood (English speaking Nigerian movie).

That's not the same for yorubas, the best yoruba actors are not even the ones you see in Nollywood. Majority of their veteran actors are in their indigenous industry (Taiwo Hassan, Yinka Quadri, Adebayo Salami, Iya Rainbow etc). Carving a niche for themselves there.

__ then the youths: Funke Akindele, Fathia Balogun, Iyabo Ojo, Femi Adebayo, Odunlade Adekola etc.

Y'all need to watch yoruba movies, the sync, cast, colour, storyline hasn't even been achieved by the igbo dominated Nollywood.

Igbo people should work on themselves and stop looking for who to blame everytime. It's becoming boring.

Hahahhahahahha I have been laughing since I clicked on this thread.

I don't know why my brothers like shouting marginalisation all the time even over silly things, some even attacked a yoruba guy that his post was so on point

How many igbo movies do we even have in the market? No good programs, few actors and no content. How many of them even listen to igbo radio stations or news in igbo.

I went to Electromart @ Onitsha to buy igbo movies for my parents, could you believe I didn't see up to 5 new igbo movies to buy, even the ones titled in igbo were all english movies.

Don't be surprised some people ranting here can't list like 20 igbo movies they have seen.

Smh for some people.

No disrespect to the igbos. I love igbos. Truth be told, there aren't enough content to air. There is an igbo channel on startimes, and they barely have anything interesting to put on, and it is characterised by repititions. If dstv were to eventually open an Ndigbo channel, I am sure even igbos will get bored after a while.

Popular Igbo Nollywood actors have to forget all the pure English movies they act in. Promote their culture to the world. Most Indian actors speak good English, but they still stick to their language in movies, and theybare respected everywhere. Every week, at least 15 yoruba movies are released, Even though half of them are nonsense, it still gives room for options. Igbos should release as many as possible too.

I would be glad, if they can work on this, and produce plenty many Igbo movies. Maybe from there, I will learn enough Igbo to woo Chinweizu(my life long crush).

Am an Igbo guy, you are on point...#Respect

Yoruba language is popular in Togo, Abidjan, Jamaica, Brazil and Cuba.

Name one country out Nigeria where Igbo is popular. NONE.

Racists who blame others for their failure. The yeye langauge is even going extinct.

The crying tribe. Attack me, I will attack you too.

I don't understand why we make a big deal out of nothing? DSTV does not want to create an Igbo channel, so what? If there is a niche for the market, I think DSTV would have done so? Yet, Igbo entrepreneurs will embark on the project. All I'm saying is, it's about time we moved onto real issues. Oh btw, DSTV is a private enterprise, they are in the business to make MONEY.

if not because i was born into a christian family and i dont want to cause ripples in the family yet, i would have been a conc IFA worshiper. there is nothing fetish about it its just our culture and i will choose to use it for good. IFA is a pure religion that has been misused by many mistagged as evil.

Always funny...igbo people...The igbo's invented Nollywood but they have no channel
Yoruba's are afraid of competition on Dstv that is why the igbo's have no channel...yet Dstv is from southafrica...
Funny set of people..
Yet the truth remains that errors are are much in translation...just like chinese and korean...but this is a call on the yorubas to do better in their Translation
