I have practiced islam for many many decades and i have not found a situation that 'innocent people' were killed or muslims started hostility without it being that muslims were trying to put a stop to oppression and it could not be termed retaliation or where muslims were forcing people to denounce their 'way' and enter 'the way; islam'.
