proudlyhandsome:You are very right on this. I've had a lot of bad experience having to do business with Igbo guys. They are so stingy with money and yet they want your idea all the time to push through with their market. They place money higher than human value, and they prefer living a pauper than to spend a bit of their profit on themselves talkless of spending with an outsider. They do this a lot to themselves too, and it pains me to the marrow when I see some of my friends among them displaying this kind of attitudes. You can never compare the people from the south-south region to the south-east though. They are more giving and accommodating to the Igbo. Though, what I've observed is that this selfish attitude is very common with their men, and their ladies are more accommodating and given. Anyway, for me, I think it's a bad attitude they've cultivated from the beginning. They too like money too much, in fact...they worship money. 4 Likes |

shizzleStar: You don't just understand. For one instance of those crimes you quoted above found among the yorubas, you will find 100 more of those instances among ibo people. Yoruba people consider those things as evil and criminal but your people consider them as hustling and business opportunities. Which tribe is Fake products synonymous with? Which is prostitution synonymous with? Which tribe is piracy synonymous with? Which tribes are baby factories synonymous with? Which tribe is cannibalism synonymous with? I repeat that is the way of livelihood for your people. Even though u can find instances of this crime among yorubas, we consider them evil and condemn them among our people. Your people on the other hand consider those evil deeds as business opportunities. 5 Likes |

More from Land of horror Man Dies Digging Grave to Steal Skull in Osun State There was pandemonium in Ilobu town, Irepodun local government area of Osun state in the early hours of Wednesday, when a dead man was discovered in an open grave with a shovel beside him. According to residents, the man who was described to be middle aged may have been attempting to exhume a corpse for ritual purposes from the grave he was discovered stone dead. Saturday Tribune gathered that the victim and his partners in crime allegedly came to Tonto compound in the early hours of Wednesday with a plot to exhume the corpse of an aged woman and sever her decomposed head, allegedly for ritual purposes. A credible source in the community, who did not want to be named, told Saturday Tribune that “this particular corpse was buried five years ago and the suspected ritualist attended the burial in Ilobu.” He explained: “There are indications that he did not dig the grave alone. What we discovered is that he may have been attempting to cut off the head of the corpse when something suddenly hooked him as he managed to force half of his body into the grave to cut off the head. He got hooked and died on the spot, a development which possibly compelled other ritualists to run away from the scene so that they may not be affected by the mysterious thing that killed (their colleague).” While commenting on how the residents of Ilobu got to know about the incident, since it happened in the wee hours, the source said a woman who was hawking ogi (a local corn meal) early in the morning of Wednesday spotted the torso of the suspect sticking out of the grave and raised the alarm. “His corpse was discovered around 6.30am and his head was covered in mud. The residents here alerted the police division in Ilobu and they later came to evacuate the body and put it in their van before taking him away,” Saturday Tribune was informed that the remains of the suspected ritualist were subsequently taken to and deposited at the mortuary of the Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital (LAUTECH), Osogbo, the state capital. When contacted, the Commissioner of Police in Osun State, Mr Ibrahim Maishanu, said he was aware of the incident, and that the police would conduct investigation to determine what led to the suspect’s death. He said the police could not confirm that the suspect was a ritualist because of the circumstances surrounding the discovery of his corpse at a grave in Ilobu; that they would have to investigate the matter before giving any concrete information on the incident. A few weeks ago, no fewer than four suspected kidnappers were burnt to death in Osogbo and Ikire after they were accused of kidnapping. 1 Like

It still can't understand why anything Igbo will always bring about foul thinking and utterances from the Yorubas, be it educated ones or illiterates both online or in reality. The Obi was just trying to imbibe a new sense of reasoning in every Igbo man, and some people are here talking about Lagos this, Southwest that. Our great country is made up of 36 states and the FCT the last time I checked. "Igbos leave Lagos " Igbos leave Southwest", What tha Bleep! Dudes, they are there for business. Have you taken your time to check that majority of big trucks coming to take goods from Lagos are not heading to Osogbo or Ado Ekiti but to the Northern part/ South South and South East, that is where the bulk of these things are needed, be it building materials, apparels, car parts, daily needs e.t.c. Lagos is home to Nigeria's busiest sea and airport, and that is why you will find the people that make most use of those amenities holed up there. Lagos is not the best place to live in Nigeria, but it is the best place to do business if your are into importation and distribution of goods. My brothers, listen to the advice from the wise king ,take some of your immovable assets to the East, it will be a wise move because of the unpredicatable nature of Nigeria. And while you acquire lands or buildings in other regions, make sure that all the relevant state government's documents are intact, Nobody, I mean Nobody can deprive you of such property even if Nigeria divides. There are Macedonians that are Landlords in Belgrade, There are Eritereans that own houses in Addis Ababa, There are Southern Sudanese that have companies in Khartoum. So be Legit and flex your God given wealth Legitimately, don't be on the wrong side of the Law at any time. 1 Love 1 Like |
