Some people shud stop being one-sided via der comment saying wont Christians attend service? The state is moslem dominated and they will attend "asalatu". So, who will be largely affected? Before una bring religion into the matter.

Sunday sanitation? Dem sef, AWON ALASEJU.

Re: Kano Extends Monthly Sanitation To Sundays by ogene007: 11:21pm On Jun 27, 2015
If it infringes on the constitutionally guaranteed freedom of worship for Christians in Kano, then it is null and void and of no effect or consequence. Jesus is the Lord in Nigeria.

So all church activities will start from 10am on every sanitation sundays?
Don't think so. it will be illegal to restrict the movement of persons for things like sanitation. There is a court judgement to that effect

Disrespect Sunday and Christianity - uphold use of sharia criminal laws; that's the desire of Kano state.

In 2000, about 12 northern states adopted illegal and unconstitutional sharia criminal justice system. The rest of the world condemned that. Hundreds of Nigerians died resisting and supporting introduction of sharia criminal codes in the 12 states. The 12 states withdrew since then - till last week, when Kano state sharia criminal court sitting in secrecy sentenced 9 Nigerians to death for blasphemy.

So now that Buhari has become president, talk of use of sharia criminal laws have reopened again?

Mba, most states restrict movement of persons(vehicular and 'leggicular' grin ) within the hours of sanitation (usually 7-10am) except those on essential duties

Is it any surprise that region produces extremist groups by the second?
And these are the same ruling class that some idiotts think will take Nigeria to the promise land.
Hopeless country.

Well, some Southern Governors should simply make fridays a do or die sanitation day.

These Northerners never ceases to stir up the hornet's nest by making laws that infringes on the constitutionally recognized rights of other people residing in their region.

Yet some zombies are shouting 'sai' Buhari here in the South

I hope these people realise that there are Christians living in kano state? Why must our leaders dabble into matters that would cause avoidable controversy?

Nigeria is a secular state. One state can't come up today to impose it's laws on the majority. As far as Nigeria is concerned, there should be freedom of worship.
There are still a lot of Christians in Kano.

Fine, Islam is majority. What if a Christian decides to go to Church on that day, will he be allowed to move freely?

... yet some zombies do not support actualization of Biafra.
If Biafra leaves Nigeria, BH shall automatically stop, because BH is fighting to impose sharia criminal laws upon all in a country it operates.

Some zombies do not understand that Muslim north indirectly drew the borders of its new sharia country when the 12 northern states adopted use of sharia criminal laws and courts.
