If this news is true then d president would have made a mistake. Appointing a lawyer as NNPC GMD is a wrong step. You need to be a technical person esp an Engineer to understand the dynamics of the oil industry and manage it efficiently. Those of us in the industry will understand what I mean.

Leadership qualities are also needed to head such a complex organization like the NNPC. An MBA holder, with zero engineering experience, will be more favored to get a top management job at any MNC over a "specialist" (eg an accountant aspiring to a top management job at Goldman Sachs).
