I remember using phantom f7.jesus!!! I was fustrated to a point dat i came outside unclad at 12 noon to swear 4 tecno.

Op try as you may techno has come to stay. As much as 40% nairalanders use techno to access the Internet...
With as low as 10k you can have an android phone, thanks to techno.

OP na cos you no sabi android in and out... I bought a very cheap android phone but now it performs the function of 100 - 200k +. As regards OTA, you could always root your phone and install custom roms on it... i'd suggest you join Xda developers forum for more

I feel @Op saying a techno fone is a scam jus because of a slightly irrevelant OTA upgrade is not a sufficient reason.
Come to tink of it. Lolipop Os upgrade doesnt mean the browser will find newer informations to enrich u if u dont type d keywords u r seeking for. I feel the whole Os upgrade is about newer interface and beta navigation plus security which our regular antivirus can aid in achieving.
YOu lost 30k in a year for an OS upgrade, thats to say the least.. Childish.
I am currently using a Techno R7 and i av tried upgrading severally but no OTA available..doesnt mean i aint loving the phone.so please find a beta reason to tag techno a scam. Not jus a OTA upgrade ish...

I use techno droidpad 8,i bought for 30k,quad core, runs on lollipop,battery is superb(5500mah),so far so good, no complains coz am really enjoying it. I have no plans of changing it for d next 2 years at least even if mango and tomato versions comes out. So long as it gives me what I want..

i have been using infinix hot note pro for some months so far so good no regrets i stated using it on kitkat now am on lollipop

gionee m2 comes with 4.2 upgradable to 4.4

m3 4.4 upgradable to 5.1

infinix 4.4 to 5.1

now this is what i call value of money.

yes tecno brought the competition i must admit that but they need to step up their game in the competition market.

brands like infinix made us see that tecno is a big rip off

can you compare infinix hot note pro with tecno r7 yet ihot not pro is very cheaper than it the same goes to all tecno brands.

they keep churning out mediocre phones of 1gb ram and keep comparing it with a 2gb ram and blind fans keep applauding them making them to do more.

You obviously dont know what an update is. For me, it makes me feel like a bought a brand new phone without spending a kobo.

When i finally was able to unpdate my Galaxy SII from Gingerbread 2.3 to JellyBean 4.1 it felt ownsome. My boring phone which i used was already pissing off at the time, but with the new update, i had no reason to buy a another phone spending atleast 70k. I only had to buy a new battery for 2.5k plus data which i became contented once again but was stolen.

My next expensive phone LG Nexus 4 delivered me updates like no business. I was happy until the screen broke. I thought i save myself money for buying Tecno Phantom A1-F7, in the long run am tired of it while the phone world has left me far behind.

I give it up to Tecno for their screen which hardly breaks. Both mine and my wife's has taken uncountable and incomparable crashes while my LG took 2 crashes and broke each occasion. Its now laying down.

With an update fall back in love with you old phone
