Abortion to me is not a sin. Why give birth to a child you can't care for

Why have sex and when you know you may conceive a child that you know cant care for?? smiley

If you are married, you don't have to worry about the means, because God always provide. And he makes conception possible and also provide for it.
If you are unmarried you have no business in having an act purposely meant for conception. smiley

How does it equate to abortion? Are you saying all women who experience a miscarriage did an abortion? Or has the definition of abortion changed?

No, the water caused her to have an abortion. A forced miscarriage with water/pills/injection is abortion.

The wicked go astray from the womb, they err from their birth, speaking lies. They have venom like the venom of a serpent. … Let them vanish like water that runs away, like grass let them be trodden down and wither. Let them be like the snail which dissolves into slime, like the untimely birth that never sees the sun. Psalms 58:3-8

I am not defiling religion. I asked a very simple question.
i wasn't referring to you, i was referring to people generally be it Christian, muslim, atheist, etc. we shouldn't go about insulting one another we can't all have the same belief system it's not possible....... And as for some ignorant Christians who think "isreal" is a Christian state, no it isn't it's a "Jewish " state. that contains holy sites relevant to the 5 religions of the abrahamic oath. Namely Judaism, Christianity, islam, druzeism, bahai faith. so stop famzing the country like you own it. we should stop hating because we all follow the same basic creed.

Unfortunately for you madame you selected what you thought is the weakness of the verse. You did not read from the beginning of what transpired before it gets to verse 22-23.

Read the whole chapter please. If you are trying to confuse people may the Lord judge you. If you are questioning because you need understanding please read the whole Chapter. Here is Deutorocanonical version.

To me this was to prove the innocence of a woman suspected of adultery and carrying another mans child. They would make the woman swear under Oath, if the the woman was innocent, the pregnancy would stay and if the woman was guilty she would miscarry. Which is what some cultural villages do to prove innocence. This was in no way abortion.

Cases of Wives with Suspicious Husbands
11The Lord commanded Moses 12-14to give the Israelites the following instructions. It may happen that a man becomes suspicious that his wife is unfaithful to him and has defiled herself by having intercourse with another man. But the husband may not be certain, for his wife may have kept it secret — there was no witness, and she was not caught in the act. Or it may happen that a husband becomes suspicious of his wife, even though she has not been unfaithful. 15In either case the man shall take his wife to the priest. He shall also take the required offering of one kilogramme of barley flour, but he shall not pour any olive oil on it or put any incense on it, because it is an offering from a suspicious husband, made to bring the truth to light.
16The priest shall bring the woman forward and make her stand in front of the altar. 17He shall pour some holy water into a clay bowl and take some of the earth that is on the floor of the Tent of the Lord's presence and put it in the water to make it bitter. 18Then he shall loosen the woman's hair and put the offering of flour in her hands. In his hands the priest shall hold the bowl containing the bitter water that brings a curse. 19Then the priest shall make the woman agree to this oath spoken by the priest: “If you have not committed adultery, you will not be harmed by the curse that this water brings. 20But if you have committed adultery, 21may the Lord make your name a curse among your people. May he cause your genital organs to shrink and your stomach to swell up. 22May this water enter your stomach and cause it to swell up and your genital organs to shrink.”
The woman shall respond, “I agree; may the Lord do so.”
23Then the priest shall write this curse down and wash the writing off into the bowl of bitter water. 24Before he makes the woman drink the water, which may then cause her bitter pain, 25the priest shall take the offering of flour out of the woman's hands, hold it out in dedication to the Lord, and present it on the altar. 26Then he shall take a handful of it as a token offering and burn it on the altar. Finally, he shall make the woman drink the water. 27If she has committed adultery, the water will cause bitter pain; her stomach will swell up and her genital organs will shrink. Her name will become a curse among her people. 28But if she is innocent, she will not be harmed and will be able to bear children.
29-30This is the law in cases where a man is jealous and becomes suspicious that his wife has committed adultery. The woman shall be made to stand in front of the altar, and the priest shall perform this ritual. 31The husband shall be free of guilt, but the woman, if guilty, must suffer the consequences.

It is clear from what you posted that abortion is prescribed punishment for
an adulterous woman.
So what is the essence of your post ?

God knew jeremiah right from his mother's womb and ordained him as a prophet. He knows the names and destinies of every human foetus even when they are in the womb..
John the baptist received the baptism of the holyspirit in his mother's womb.
Right or wrong, you can't expect God to condone such.

YOU DID NOT READ IT TO THE END. READ IT TO VERSE 29. IT SHOWS THAT IS THE LAW OF JEALOUSNESS. IT IS WHEN THE WOMAN IS DEFILED AND THE HUSBAND SUSPECTS IT AND REPORTS TO THE PRIEST THAT THE PRIEST WILL GIVE HER THE WATER THAT WILL MAKE THE BELLY SWELL AND THE THIGH OF THE WOMAN TO ROT IF SHE IS GUILTY BUT SHE WILL GIVE BIRTH UNHARMED IF SHE IS GUILTLESS. ALWAYS READ THE CHAPTER TO THE END BEFORE DRAWING CONCLUSIONS. MAY GOD HELP YOU.

The bible in numbers 5 was talking about punishment meted out to those who commit adultery and has nothing to do with pregnancy not to talk of abortion.... This scripture shows us that God is a God of order and justice..... Carefully read the words and get enlightenment

So God does not provide for kids with unmarried parents?

On this point we don't need to even be biblical.
Simple common sense. God provide through parents. Having two parents who are in a healthy marriage brings two incomes which when used wisely properly provide for the children's needs and sometimes wants. So single ( never married ) parents rarely ( though some are able ) are able to provide what married parents can.
Not only materially. Psychological, emotional support, social identity and even parental guidance from both parents and other forms of support which are provided by married parents to raise successful children. That is the reason why children from unmarried homes don't grow up to be well rounded children psychologically etc. Some lack trust, direction, manners and even lack models etc. E.g. A man who doesn't know his responsibilities in marriage because he never had a father figure to model his behavior etc.

If you want proof, go to alot of jails and get each incarcerated persons background. Majority are from unmarried parents background and some dysfunctional backgrounds.
Anyways that is a topic for another day.

Your question was " Biblical support of abortion" And I am saying never has the bible supported abortion.

. ofcourse, God did. However, seeing the level of perfidy and sacrilege in the conduct of men, God decided to change the devotion of men away from rules, norms and injunctions to true worship in spirit and in truth. Hence, Jesus was sent to this sinful world.
