Guy, didn't you get the memo? According to this Nnewi guy, Igbos have lost the plot in Commerce and Industry:

Lol. Even Jonathan himself said it that the SW controls 55% of Nigeria's economy. cheesy

Excerpts:

And he wasn't lying when you consider the indices from Manufacturers Association of Nigeria's last report as follows:
The SW virtually controls/accounts for atleast 70% of industrial activity in Nigeria.

It is commonplace around the world which is why the govt always speaks of attracting foreign investors they are a vital part of any economy you can goggle this for clarification . The have the huge capital , expertise , intellectual property required to make it all happen. And your statement about them not being employed ... the economic benefits of them being there are a lot and i am not talking about taxes... google will tell you all you need to know .... Ogun state is the most industrialized majorly because of its proximity to lagos and land availability but that doesnt change the fact that it is the most industrilized ...arguments like this should not drag on when google is at your fingertips

Full Definition of industry

a department or branch of a craft, art, business, or manufacture; especially : one that employs a large personnel and capital especially in manufacturing
Please stop explaining anything to this dolt who believes china and singapore has sold out their lands to foreigners. Dem say make dem go skool, dem no gree. Na to do trader and otokoto for fast money. Me i enjoy all their arguments sha. Great comedy.

sorry, glo isn't an industry, its a firm neither is innoson an industry, its also a firm, an industry can't be owned or controlled by one person because its a collection of firms. According to marriam Webster, an industry is: a group of businesses that provide a particular product or service. Wonder wot u were doing during economics class, probably dragging for land #shrugs

First.. Alot of people on here does not know what Industry means... First you guys really need to school those that have never toured Ogun state before, you need to school them and let them know that Ogun state after Lagos has the highest number of employer of Labour.

Lagos is a commercial state, while Ogun state has the highest number of Industries...I cant start mentioning companies i know in Ogun state now, cos they are just too much... but some peeps on here, just really need to take time out to tour places like AGbara,Otta, Mowe/Ibafo, sagamu,

Coming on here and trying to list industries In ogun state is sick.. cos you cant even mention all the ones on MOWE?IBAFO road finish sef.

lagos Ibadan road axis, with over 70% of that road portion being part of Ogun state. They also have the sagamu-ijebu axis, the owode axis .thge waterside axis and the mighty Agbara industrial complex... And some on Ofada/Abeokuta Axis....anambra is nowhere

Lagos is the most commercialised.
ogun state remains the most industrialized states.

#fact.

industry can be controlled by one person but may not be owned. The definition of industry is broad. Dont just look at meaning of words...check their definitions and usage..
Thank You.

After all said and done, it is a well established fact that 99 1/2 % of the industries in Ogun State are owned by Igbos who bought up your lands long ago due to the proximity of your state to Lagos state.

May be some of us need to be taught the differences between outlets, enterprise, comppany, factory, industry, and names the rest....Lagos is the most commercialised state but Ogun is the most industrialised. Not really economic or commerce but 'industry' a close word to that is factory. My opinion though.
