That's exactly the kind of love I have for Mariam.

That beauty and the beast kind of love that makes a bad boy become a saint.

God knows I have sinned and even the blood of christ may not wipe me clean.
Mariam's love alone is enough to make a saint out of a sinner like me.

This short piece I am writing is an expression of what I feel deep down inside of me.

Just in case you haven't seen Mariam, she is an Ebony princess, the kind that never raises her shoulders above other people's head.

A woman of simplicity, focus and strength. Her words of caution rings through me like a soldier man's Koboko.

I need no oracle to tell me that Mariam would be a good home maker, where peace and love reigns supreme. The kind of woman who would make a happy home every man would always look forward to return to.

Who is this Mariam? She is the one I sent countless PM's to just to read the Four letter word H E L L O.

When she finally responded, all I got was a link to a beauty contest.

In the depth of my heart, this is how I felt.
It wasn't long after that I discovered her diary, I read every single page of it.

She was an open book, one who'd never kept a secret. She even shared the wired dreams she had.

Her journey became mine even though we live a world apart.

I started my diary titled "REAL TALK"
It was the very first diary consisting of Voice notes.
Being an expressive individual, I love to air my opinion on certain things I feel strongly about.

The VN's were my own self therapy sessions.
Where I speak on thoughts buried deep in my mind.
My trials, travails and tribulations where hidden underneath that soft, smooth and silky voice.

Mariam listened and she liked it.
She left a V.N for me telling me to say more.
Little did she know I was a monster who's demons just got locked and it's keys thrown away.

I didn't want to let them out of the cage else I scare her away.

I even created threads in her admiration. Unfortunately, not too many people can handle praises so it got to her head.

I kept following Mariam with keen interest until she opened a line of communication. She replied one of my numerous mails.

I responded to her mail and told her about myself.
She also told me about herself and then I was concious of the fact that she was involved with someone and probably attached too.

I wasn't in a hurry.

Call it Fate but I never wished that it happened, she became single again.

Talk about "food don done" just like some Nairaland members call Supermods whenever a front page thread is up.

That was the perfect time to strike, when the Iron is red hot.
Mariam had grown to become a matured woman over time.
