When I tell people, that Yorubas are the most tribalistic and bias people on earth, they will not understand.

Now, see what I mean.
instead to wish d old man h.b.d and long life, u deraiied from d main topic. stop being rude and disrespectful.
This coward of a general is being celebrated. Read all their comments, because he is of their tribe.

But when they read good news of another tribe, they come out guns blazing with attacks.

Cry cry General. Typically yoruba!

If the 'crying' evidence wasn't captured on camera they would have called everyone 'gullible Ipods' for believing the story. grin grin cheesy cheesy

More cowardly years to his yoruba life. lmao!
His crying is a war strategy to save his life at that moment. He is a soldier but he valued life. He cried because at that point there is no way out. He cried because he is in his house but if he were to face an enemy in the war front. He can never cry.
Only a boy that has never seen war before we shout that he is a man. You need to experience it yourself before you can judge.

This is a man with dreams outside military service unlike others with no profesdional bearing after service and you want it cut short just like that. Every situation has its own strategy

I do not know when you guys will stop you primitive pattern of thinking. The enlightened thinking of a Yoruba man knows that one is not meant to die foolishly unlike the idiotic and primitive thinking Yeebos. Have you seen a white man of contemporary age beating his chest anyhow without weighing his options. Please get sense

Please, stop defending the indefensible. Gen. Obasanjo and Yaradua were to be executed by the same Abacha, Why didn't they beg? 'If you value life', Do NOT join the army. A good soldier lives for today. Tomorrow is unsure. Stop defending Cowardice.

@precious1967

Are u new on nairaland?

Go to any thread that celebrates any tribe not yoruba, and see how your brothers rain insults,. That is the real meaning of rude and disrespectful.

You want to form respectful now, that it is your tribesman. When it is another tribe tomorrow, you will start to exhibit your lack of respect,

If you do not know, those two where just taken up but Abacha gave the one in question an opportunity to be forgiven. Do not forget that Abacha likes him compared to the other two. You said if one values life they should not join army. So as a soldier if you are combing a city and you see an armless child you will kill him? Have you wondered why a soldier will die to keep his colleagues alive. Common being a soldier doesn't mean you do not value life. Do not be deceived. You are showing guts because you are not there, be there first. The joy of a soldier is to go to battle field and come out alive hence why deceit is permitted in fighting. Do whatever you can to stay alive while winning.

Do you know what cowardice is? If you know you are not a coward, proceed to the gate of the national assembly set your self ablaze in protest of bad leadership, then I will know you are not a coward. Do not think what I have asked you to do is out of context at least they do that in other parts of the world.

Grow up and be wise.

I repeat, Omo ale ni e, to those who do not understand, it means you are a bastard yoruba child because what you and your hero Diya are displaying are not yoruba values.

A man participated in a coup plot, sorry I meant a soldier participated in a coup plot and was caught. when you were plotting coup, you did not know that there are only 2 outcomes? either you succeed or you die? and when you fail you cannot take the consequences of failure like a man, like a soldier, like a man of honoue? A soldier, a chief of defense staff, a chief of general staff, a defacto vice president!! abeg go and get some home training!!

You are too gullible for my liking.

How did you know he planned a coup? Because Abacha said so? Smh for u.

Why did they try to bomb him several times before they eventually roped him in a setup coup?

Oo mo bi o se nlo? Like someone rightly said, bloody civilian

Its amazing that whenever a topic is posted here, it transmutes into Igbo vs Yoruba e-fight. Instead of people to look at the topic and address the issues raised by condenming or priasing, as the case may be; they go after themselves insulting tribes in an attempt to defend their own. This is the height of backwardness and narrow-mindedness and it explains why Nigeria is still Backward. A big shame to all those who operate on this level.

Ive been following your posts but you turned out to be cunning and deluded. All of your posts derailed the topic of this thread.

You are to wish the retired general a happy birthday or move on to other threads, but all your topics only analysed how you think in your small mind the retired general was an embarrassment. And yet you could put up the rhetorics above? Shame

Best remembered for Infamously begging junior officers to spare his life.

Better to die in dignity than to live in shame.

For someone who has never comprehended death this is rich.

Which Junior officer did he beg, he begged Abacha

I take it from you that the reason be begged for his life is to tell his part of the story. Well, better to hear from the horses mouth direct. But the story in effect is one of shame, a story of subjection to indignity. I can count a million persons who will rather die than be subjected to kneeling and crying to a junior officer to live.

What the heck is life for goodness sakes. Abacha is dead, Al-mustapha will someday. Death comes sooner or later, but that indignity is engraved in history.

I can bet that if a useless police corporal not even Sergeant, chambers a round for you, you would beg like a weasels. Forming Superman on NL

Once you are dead that's it, the end ni opin cinema

People would salute your bravery and very quickly move on just to remember you once a year. You'll be that sad story used as a caution to people after, a statistic

If Zik can have stayed away in 1966 father than die with his fellow leaders, and Ojukwu can abandoned his Biafra project to go screw cheap whores then Diya is a saint by comparison
