For the open minded, I decided to open this thread.
President Buhari has received lots of criticism over the current challenges of the country. In all fairness, the man has genuine interest in turning for the better fortunes of this country, but some people who may still be bitter by the loss of their hero, sees nothing good in anything PMB is doing or has done so far.

I decided to create this topic to actually verify if Nigeria was indeed better under Jonathan than it is now, under PMB.
Power sector is the first to examine

Under GEJ January to April, 2015

Electricity supply fell to 2,988.72MW on April 12, while 3,060.37MW was generated that day, according to data obtained from the Federal Ministry of Power on Monday.

Power generation had on March 11 dropped to 2,747.45MW, while 2,676.64MW was sent out to consumers, down from 3,505MW on March 8.

Power generation and supply in the country have dipped below the 3,000MW mark for at least five times this year.

On February 10, electricity supply plunged to 2,869.84MW as 2,936.83MW was generated that day, according to the Presidential Task Force on Power.

On January 11, 2015, generation fell to 2,502.39MW, while 2,449.04MW was sent out. Generation fell to 2,948.45MW on January 6, while 2,880.31MW was sent out to the distribution companies.

Power generation in the country has risen to a peak 4,387 megawatts as at Friday, March 4, 2016 with a prospect for further improvement in power supply situation. The Head, Public Affairs Department at the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), Dr. Usman Abba Arabi, said that this

Causes of drop in power supply under GEJ

The downturn in power generation has often been attributed to the sabotage of the Trans-Forcados Pipeline, which supplies gas to several power plants in the country.

The Special Adviser on Gas to the Minister of Power, Mr. Frank Edozie, said in a telephone interview with our correspondent that the Trans-Forcados Pipeline had been vandalised, and that this led to the shortage in gas supply to the power plants.

“There are problems with gas supply and the hydropower plants are not getting enough water supply,” he said, adding that the problem with the gas pipeline would be resolved this week.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Ikeja Electric, one of the distribution companies in Lagos, Mr. Abiodun Ajifowobaje, in an exclusive interview with our correspondent on Friday, said the average energy from the grid to the firm dropped to about 370MW last month, adding that one of the two greatest challenges facing the distributing firms today was inadequate power supply from the grid.

“In the case of power supply, if I want to give all my customers 24/7 power supply today, I need 1,250MW, but the average I am getting from the grid is about 370MW to 400MW; less than a third of what I need.”

Causes of drop in supply under PMB

Power generation drops to 1,580.6MW ON MARCH 10, 2016

Senior and junior workers unions’ action to protest the unbundling of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, is already taking its toll as power generation dropped to 1,580.6 megawatts, MW, in the early hours of yesterday.

Recall that generation capacity had inched up to 4,387MW on Friday, after crashing to 2,800MW prior to that from a peak of 5000MW due to gas pipeline vandalism, according to the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC.

Data from the Nigerian Systems Operations Department of the Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN, website,www.nsong.org, indicated that the situation had gone even worse, with generation peaking at 1,580.6MW as at 9.48am yesterday.

Its very clear from the foregoing that the magic that GEJ couldn't perform from May 2010 to May 2015, its not easy for buhari to do same within 11 months

The same problems that existed prior to now as regards vandalism are still there.
Buhari just gave an order that vandals must be treated as criminals, like Book haram. This GEJ failed to do. Instead, he gave surveillance contracts to criminals and thereby weakening the institutions that are constitutionally mandated to carry out protection.

We must join hands with PMB, by doing away with our sentiments and bias

Fashola promised to give us constant light after six months, but we are in darkness instead. By this time last year, fuel was N87 only, i could run my generator for hours in the absence of light, now that fuel is N200/ltr, how long do you think average Nigerians can run gens now?

U are part of the 70% failure of buhari by rationalizing failure! Unless and until buhari add his own MW while ensuring optimal performance of what he was handed, he remains a failure.

Stop campaigning for buhari in governance while the country is in doldrums! If buhari is performing better, u don't need any epistle to show buhari is performing citizens will Feel and know so!

Buhari so far is a disaster!

12 hours power supply daily. Is that all the change you need?

No need to end the fuel scarcity?

No need for dollar to come back to its normal rate?

No need to fight corruption?

Bro, what we need in this country is more than just power supply.

He was handed a system being vandalized by its alleged protector. Stop rationalizing GEJ's failure. If Buhari had maintained the Disaster handed to him it would av resulted in lower output.

Eko distribution company
Abuja distribution company

Ikeja distribution company

No need of a prophet to tell it. Maybe the power generated under PMB is being used in aso rock. Figures or no figures, all I l know is that under GEJ I used to stay 3 weeks and sometimes more without using my kerosene stove (I use electic cooker) but now my pots can testify that kerosens stove and black smoke goes hand in hand.
