For undergrad, you must offer all compulsory courses. You cannot specialise until you start practicing or start a master programme (you can still study general law if you want to).

Well that's the same with what is obtainable here. Undergrads usually don't focus on a particular aspect, till they get to their final year. That's why I heard.

So what year are you in?

Hope you know Google can never replace your textbook and tuition in class?

Your frequency in Nairaland as a student is shocking.

Not mentioning your shallow legal knowledge.

When I schooled, I didn't do nairaland, that's why I will always floor you in any debate about any topic under the sun.

[s]Synzu, I am sorry you are still hurting because I blocked you from my BBM. Why don't you read the convo again and this time take your time.

Knights and screenshotssmiley. You got to love them for that.

Do well to keep me far away from your drug induced hallucinations. I can't recall the last time I had a chat with you so I didn't even notice you blocking me. Don't bring me into this, i won't warn you again.

Civil and common law only?

That's why you're a legsl-destitute. You can never make a good lawyer in Nigeria then.

No criminal law?
No constitutional law
No business or corporate law?
No international law and diplomacy?

And you dare debate with me on dire matters of legal origin and context? Damn!!!

You needed my dïck more than you wanted an honest debate.

You didn't school in the UK where textbooks and matterals are affordable and accesible. And it wasn't until this session that I started using Nairaland a lot. You can ask aroundsmiley. Why is that so? I ain't tellingundecided

You wouldn't frequent Nairaland as much as I do because I wasn't swarmed with nine coursesundecided and I doubt if you knew about Nairaland then. You need to stop comparing yourself to me.

I am going to pretend like I didn't see the part about legal knowledge. You are in no position to guage anything. Trust mesmiley

I believe the moderators of this forum are all dead. That's why Nigerian and south African spoilt brats are running amok on this trend playing with mud.

Seun, you really should stop paying your mods. they aren't giving you value for your money at all.

I cringe at the insults on this trend. even the devil will be proud of his sons and daughters.

Countries that use Civil legal system primarily stick to codes (you could call them statutes), in contrast, common legal system use judge made laws and statutes.

Scotland is a civil law country. England and Wales aren't. They use common law and most if not all former colonies also use the common legal system.

daretodiffer, you would do well to ignore further insults upon your person. there's no point to furthering this trend. it's gone long enough.

I believe you don't need me or anyone to tell you what everybody knows that even with your hijab you are a pretty woman.

do this trend a favor by quit replying.

Legislators formulate codes or statutes while in common legal system, Judges are allowed to formulate laws that aren't provided in the Constitution.

Enough of the questions pleasesmiley.

Sorry for the questions... I'm just trying to get a first hand say about matters that affect the Scottish legal system, as I don't trust Wikipedia, because I won't know the qualification the person posting the details I'm reading, have.

But why are you so cryptic about the name of your school and where you reside in Scotland, surely no harm can come from revealing such details?
