Arlington, have you tried steroids like Prednisolone, it might be that your body is fighting the pregnancy. Speak to your dr abt it? don't know if they prescribe it in naija. Just my two pence worth.

Hi girls
am just coming from the hospital and the doctor confirmed am 5 weeks pregnant after a blood test. I'll be going for a scan in about 2 weeks to get a heartbeat. Am happy and but kind of scared coz of the previous miscarraige i had
i hope all will be well with the grace of God.
The symptoms are hard on me oooo

honestly, it's not easy. unfortunately there is really nothing one can do about it. See your doctor, run all necessary medical test to be sure you are medically fit. it not only about the woman but unfortunately in this part of the world, it is always believed that women are guilty of infertility. it's not so. Men too have medical cases. husbands should be examined. secondly, be prayerful. it is not normal for a woman not to conceive because it is a command from God. He said "be fruitful and replenish the earth" whatever that stops this is really not from God. All the best dear

@ Beetle Welcome , My dear sister i don't know what my body is doing at the moment i have a very capable doctor here i live in the USA ,i will ask him about it and see what he says he has said that when i get pregnant again he will monitor me from The 4th week till when ever he is rest assured i am ok. so na to get the belle now are you trying to have a baby also?

@ Stages heyyyyyyyyyyyy i love Good news like this congratulations, i know you will be worried but don't let fear ruin your joy i know it is hard cos i have been through it. I thought i was the only one with bad symptoms at 5 weeks anytime i am 5 weeks you would think i am 4 months pregnant i cant eat i am restless and feel horrible .just be strong and be prayerful it is well. please come in regularly to update us .

my dear, l dey for God hand ooo! My cycle is still misbehaving, l have been spotting serious brown/red blood for the past two weeks, not enough to wear a pad. Dont really know ooo! l will give myself till the end of the month, by January l will take a decision on what to do about it.

been following this thread for a while.have been wondering if its alright for me to join.
Am not trying to conceive a child but my sister is.

she was pregnatn sometime in 2001 but ,
In 2004,she took in again but unknown to them it was an ectopic pregnancy.by the time they found out the foetus was alredaty dead.she had a surgery to totally remove that.Since that time they have been trying and so far no conception talk of miscarriage.
sometime ago,the doctors told her she has a cornean blockage of the fallopian tube.wat does that mean?
Anoda doctor told her she needs to have her system flushed. she was scared to do that.

Was wondering if i can get some good info for her from this thread.

when i was pregnant i used to feel that God betrayed me.My hubby and i were just relocating and we wanted to give ourselvf one year to settle in our new locatiion b4 the baby starts coming.However,few months to our move i found out i was pregnant.I was almost devastated.I found my self wishing for a miscarriage and even praying for it.

Sometimes we have to wait on God but we have to work towards it and make efforts ,It says God helps does who help them selves.

Tell her to look for a good infertility specialist and explain everything to them.
Why does she have to flush out her system? Is it after the removal of the foetus? I did the same thing after the removal of my second baby as well , my doctor just wanted to be sure my system was clean.

The fallopian tube blockage typically prevents successful passage of the egg to the sperm, or the fertilized egg to the uterus.
There is a test called hysterosalpingogram (HSG) it is an X-ray test that looks at the inside of the uterus and fallopian tubes and the area around them. Your sister will beat you if she does this test it hurtssssssssssssss! would advice she goes to a specialist as soon as possible. so as i am not a doctor that is all i can advice for now.Every time you see your baby thank God for what he has done for you, i know at that time it was not what you wanted but his plan was the right one for you.

I am here oh i cant complain much i thank God for everything both good or bad. Ha so you are a chicken you had to be sedated? That thing hurts alot i almost wanted to bite off the head of the lady who did mine . It was later on she asked me if i took any pain killers before i came i just eyed her and walked out cos if to say i answer na police for come carry me go house.

l am doing great, l dey kempe for Lagos, l hia say kidnappers even kidnap for recharge cards these days! God dey shaa.

l am so happy, at last the spoting has miraculously stoped last week thursday.  l give God all the glory.  2 weeks of that spoting was not a joke at all.  We have now resumed baby dancing . 

THERE IS STILL A MIRACLE IN THE WOMB OF 2009 FOR US.  17 days remaining in this year is too much a time for God to do  ONLY what HIM can do.  Bishop Oyedepo during the Shilo program said, you dont need Fibroid, Cycst, Ovulation etc, what u need is BABY.  So dont bother urself with whatever name doctors may have called it, YOU NEED A BABY ask for it, and it will happen irrespective of the condition!

I advice you not waist your time please seek spiritual help, and be prayerful.

Also if you would not mind can you go to SYNAGOGUE CHURCH OF ALL NATION with all your medical test for prayer line once and for all, and I saw many women same of your problem been solve.

i laugh - i'm not questioning the power of God but come on now, sometimes the problem can be so small that doing something to assist conception can deal with it, but people continue to say not to listen to doctor - did God bless the pastor with a medical degree or did he bless the doctor.

abeg if there is a problem go see a doctor discuss options and go from there (but always praying of course!!)

I have come to a final conclusion that people can no longer read, or just want to increase how many post they have .Because some of these comments are really mind blowing! If you take the time (if you interested ) to read what everyone has said here you would know that nobody is here is doing fasting and prayer 24/7 without seeking medical advice!

Hi sistas and Happy new year.
I know i have not been around for some time.
On the 9th of dec (dats at abt 5 weeks) i started spotting blood in the office
i was so scared i abandoned everything i had to do in the office and ran to the hospital after calling my doctor.
When i arrive he checked me and immediately did an echography to confirm there was no prob
since it waqs still too early, he could not see the embryo clearly but the sac was well placed and showed no signs of coming out. he put me on progesterone. That calm me down as i went back to the office. I took 2 days off from work to rest.
i could not even rest coz i got so sick, i had chronique stomach disorder and went back to see the doc 2 days later and he gave me some drugs which did not help abit. and on monday the 14th of dec, i was admitted coz the doc said he needed to put me on surveillance. anoda ecography was done and we could see and the embryo and the heart beat. I was discharged but put on bed rest for 8 days and i added my annual leave so i could rest well.
My dear sistas it's not been easy, i can't eat well, if i cook i won't eat, no perfume, no meat, i just hope the baby is getting enuf food.

By the way thanks to u girls for keeping me in mind and don't forget we need each oda's prayers and support.

Hi, It is not easy to be without a child you can call your own especially in this part of the world bearing in mind the kind of mentality an average african or a typical niger person has. Our people need a lot of orientation and re-orientaion. We need to understand the fact that it is God that gives children when couples are due.
Secondly people need to also know that the primary purpose of marriage is companionship while procreation is tending towards the last.
Anyway, God will help all of us oooo.
Some married ladies need to know whether they're ovulatiing or not, or they are having infections or not. These should be cleared before knowing the next step to take. Is your man ok or not in the areas of sperm count or infection?
Find out these then support yourself with prayers after you have ascertained that you are very ok ,including the man.
Wait in expectation for what God will do

If u read thru the thread u will see that pratically everyone is seeking medical advice.Somebody even said her doc is a leading doc in infertility.Pls dont just make a comment wihout reading thru wat has been posted.

Arlington,Thank God for the testimony.All thins are possible to him that believes,including u.

Stages,dont worry urself,remenber,He that stated the good work is willing and able to complete it.As for those complaints(no food,perfume and all that)they are nothing and will clear as the pregnancy advances.
