I disagree. . .this is the 2nd worst season after season 1. Luckily for me, I started watching 24 with Season 3 and then I went back to watch season 1 and 2 before watching 4, 5, 6, 7 and now 8. If I had started with season 1, I doubt I would have continued with the other seasons.

Within minutes of the news, a ‘#SaveJackBauer’ campaign was initiated on Twitter.

But Kiefer Sutherland’s days of jacking up the bad guys aren’t over, since there are plans to have the franchise live on in movie theaters.

are u kiddin me? a show can only be judged in relation to the time it was aired. when season 1 first started airing, the concept was still fresh, and it was nothing short of brilliant.

See this one o. . .FYI, I started watching 24 in 2007 and I bought the Complete Season 1-4 Dvd's all at the same time. . .I started with Season one & after watching it for about an hour, I quickly got bored with the Jack & his wife getting back together, daughter sneaking out of the house & being kidnapped thingy and the overall slow pace and generally dull storyline of the whole Season 1, so I removed it, slotted in the Season 3 randomly and got hooked in the 1st hr. . .So tell me how is my opinion not relevant? Season 1 didn't even become really interesting until it was well past half-way abi wetin u dey talk sef?
SEASON 8 with it's 11 episodes so far is more interesting & $h!ts on the whole of Season 1.

its LESS relevant because the impression Season 1 would have given you was destroyed when you decided to watch the 3rd season first. and you watched it at least 3 or 4 years late!

Btw. . .I also think that Season 8 should be the last but not becos it's the worst but becos the threats/attacks have been played out and the plots are becoming kinda repetitive & predictable.

True!. . .that parole officer is very dodgy & smart.

I don't know why people had already started condemning this season 8 before. Now that the story has changed, lets all wait and see how CTU & co will cope with this mess after being hit with an EMP. No wonder why Jack said 'we were blind' I pity President Hassan.

Then why did the SWAT team move on to the Hotel so carelessly even when Jack was trying to stop them to be more careful?
