Post the budget of the 2 states in the last 2yrs to clear your ignorance. Even Osun state has a very high budget but we later realised that it was being financed with bank loans until the state went bankrupt.

Anambra has attracted over $7billion dollars investments to Anambra and they are all at various stages of completion.

As for Imo state, I won't't waste my time comparing it with a greater state as Anambra. The economy of Anambra is more than thrice bigger than Imo state.

You need to go and sleep because you have nothing more reasonable to say.

Osun was never bankrupt.

What is wrong with you Igbos and lies.?

Osun still commissioned more projects than all the SE states combined including only mediocre fly over bridge anambra

almost all the commenters here are brain dead. Anambra has one of the largest market in West Africa, one of the few states that pays salaries as at when due, pays pensioners their gratuity, increased the state allawee for Corpers and the only state in the whole federation that didn't collect bailout funds. and yet you brain dead people are still doubting the governor's claims? because they didn't reveal their IGR?? you think it's cowries that they transact with there?
you guys are mumu of the highest order.

I can go on and on but you get the idea, any factory you see after berger is Ogun state. so when I say Ogun sttracted $4B in 2014 alone, you know it's not noise when the gov says at least $10B has been invested in Ogun since he became gov you know it's not for election. When you here Ogun is now no 2 in IGR you know it's not propaganda.

Show me yours that has led Amambra to No 4. Please dont kid yourself it is not chickens or a few yams at the airport that will propel a state from no 16 to no4

Where are your investments?

Just go to google and type "Amosun commisions". or "new factory Ogun state" do the same for anambra and tell us what you see

Ogun now number 2 in IGR?
Abeg make una lie small small.
Where you come put my darling Rivers naa?

ahh ok Rivers did not publish their figures, makes sense now

Actually he may be right. Rivers was N85B last year, Ogun was N72B, considering that Ogun was N34B the previous year (2015) and the governor said his goal is N115B this year and the fact that the interview was last month, the rate at which ogun is growing it's IGR, it may well be they have since surpassed rivers. But yes as at last year Rivers was ahead of Ogun.

Keep deceiving yourself thinking Rivers has remained at 80+B in IGR since 2014 while Ogun and other states keep changing figures.
Mind you the figures of Rivers are not given every year.
All you see are repeated estimates year in year out which is not from Rivers State Government.
In the budget for 2017 revenue to be gotten from IGR was 115B.
Not the fake figures they keep repeating for Rivers year in year out.

https://www.nairaland.com/3819308/anambra-4th-largest-state-gdp

In 2014, Anambra’s GDP was estimated at $13.5 billion. This accounts for three per cent of Nigeria’s GDP and would rank 122 in the world or 24th in Africa if the state were to be a country. With only N3.993 billion debt, the state has the lowest domestic and foreign debt profile among the 36 states. The state’s economy is unarguably the fourth largest among states, after Lagos, Abuja and Rivers. Anambra State also has the fourth largest bank deposit, after Lagos, Abuja and Rivers, but ironically has one of the lowest access to bank credit. With five universities, two polytechnics and two colleges of education, adult literacy in the state is over 80 per cent. The state has the lowest poverty incidence and has the unique feature of being a net exporter of capital

IGR doesn't determine how large state economy is, Anambra cut taxes to encourage indigenous investors Ogun doesn't because 95% of industries are owned by non Yorubas, Anambra is indigenous driven economy 99% control by indigenes, Anambra host highest numbers of markets in Nigeria and most indigenous industrialized state in Nigeria

[s]Look I am not here to trade insults but to debate facts. Rivers has not made much progress in it's IGR over the last 4 years, so it is not likely based on it's past track record to do so. Ogun on the other hand has moved from N14B to N72B, in the same period. Between 2012 and 2016 Ogun increased it's IGR by 500%, it's average over the period is 66% per year. Rivers in 4 years has gone from N66B to N85B approx 30% increase over 4 years and an average increase per year of 6% per year. Excuse me let put the sentiments and emotion aside and use some common sense in the absence of 2017 figures, it doesnt take a rocket scientist to deduce that Ogun WILL surpass Rivers in IGR in the next few years,if it hasnt already in 2017.[/s]
Ogun has only increased their IGR by 500% on Lagos/Ibadan media. This is the real sitaution in Ogun below, after billions received in bailout, the governor is insulting ogun workers for going on strike over no salaries. Rubbish

Ogun is below Kano and Aba talk more of Anambra with their fabricated IGR figure Ogun was bailed out twice by FG

In 2015, the Federal Government intervened, with a bailout 7 package of NGN 338 billion to 27 states (including Edo, Ogun and Niger), to ensure employee salary obligations were met. In 2016, another bailout fund of NGN 90 billion was created but this time with stringent conditions intended to enforce fiscal responsibility within the states. Most states continue to look to ad hoc disbursements from the Federal Government to ease their fiscal challenges. As part of efforts to improve resilience in the states, DFID is working with Edo, Ogun and Niger States, providing technical assistance for tax harmonisation aimed at improving collection processes and transparenc
