Anyway the EFCC under Jonathan that seized those properties were known to be a joke just as his government was.

So maybe Timipre Sylva was right afterall that he was being witch hunted by Jonathan. One of many "freedoms" of democracy that Sylva benefitted from Jonathan's style of democracy.

Militants say them dey take oil for their land but no development. Na d reason be this. If they allow 100% resource control, instead of 48 houses, he go build 300. The problems na the leaders. Them too greedy.
dainformant:
The former governor of Bayelsa State, Timipre Sylva is pictured relaxing in his palatable mansion in Abuja following the release of his confiscated houses. It was reported that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) returned houses seized during the administration of former president, Goodluck Jonathan in 2013 to the ex governor.

The EFCC, seized 48 choice property belonging to former Bayelsa State Governor, Mr. Timipre Sylva, in January 2013 because he was being prosecuted at a Federal High Court in Abuja for alleged misappropriation of N6.46 billion state funds when he was governor of the state.

Some of the assets belonging to the former governor include a mansion at 3 River Niger Street, plot 3192 Cadastral zone AO, Maitama District Abuja; nine units (comprising six one bedroom and 3 two bedroom apartments) at 8 Sefadu Street Wuse zone 2, plot 262 Cadastral zone AO2, Wuse Abuja; and 2 units duplexes at 5 Oguta Street, plot 906 Cadastral zone Wuse 11 Abuja.

Are these the jokers fighting corruption? What are we saying here? If you are corrupt and a thief just join APC your sins would be forgiven. With all the lies against her, I wonder why Dieziani have to delay till now, she would have just join APC to stop the lies. Nigeria, fighting corruption? We are not ready.
This case was one of the many cases initiated under a PDP Government against a PDP member at that time. Tell me one APC ( Association Of Political Criminals) Member that has been investigated? PDP have always been in the forefront of fighting corruption especially amongst her members.

I have tried to search into history to see if the accused governor got a favourable judgement from the court recently, but couldn't get any news.

Unfortunately so much of the criminal trials in Nigeria are never followed up by the media, all we know is that an accused would just stop being hunted or incarcerated or outlawed from his property. They just return to their previous lives and nobody knows how the case was truly concluded.
great work

Double standard government. If this government is really sincere with its fight against corruption Timipre Silver should have a case to answer at the court. Dude stole bayelsa dry as a governor.
And about to "rehabilitate" the refineries shocked
