If any state need such force, it is ogun state. Abia state has no need for such deployment.

Again, let me restate here for providence.

The Military has no business targeting 'miscreants' in Ogun State (or in any other state for that matter). That is not the job of the military. It's police duty. If the Police are overwhelmed they could request for (temporary) re-reinforcement from other (more peaceful) states. Reducing the Military to doing Police duty is not only demeaning to the Military, it also open up the potential for Military coups.

Judging from the spate of Military deployment across the entire country, what is the assurance that is in not a cover for a potential military coup? What stops the military from overwhelming the civil authority and seizing power at this rate?

The keyword there is ACTING IN AID OF CIVIL AUTHORITIES TO RESTORE ORDER.

that's actually aiding the police not leading the charge or doing it alone.

Funny how small countries like Ghana has mastered this act by using their army to supplement their police by putting the police in charge of the army during civilian operations!

Crocodile smile and python dance are military invasions and occupation and a complete violation of section 2 subsection C.

You also ignored the conditions therein stating the conditions that may be prescribed by an act of the national assembly.

The military has no reason to cover or save face. The question you should be asking is if the deployment (which is the prerogative of the (C-in-C) is legal. As for the Operation in the South east, that is a very welcome development to correct the activities of a group of people who have abrogated unto themselves the power of state within a state.

Military operations have been deployed previously all over the country without issues of the populace attacking them. The right to self determination is an inalienable rights of ethnic groups as enshrined in the UN charter but when it is being championed with a threat to the survival of other states, regions and other ethnic groups, there will be the kind of backlash IPOB faced.
The question we should ask again is that have their been an OFFICIAL proposal to succeed submitted to the central government and other federating units that make up the entity called NIGERIA?

my point is, a young chap was brutally murdered in broad day light ( on a sunny afternoon while everyone watched helplessly) at temidire junction about 2 months ago a few steps away from the sango-ota police command all in d name of cultism while a security guard was murdered in d most gruesome way 1 can imagine by armed robbers just less than 2 months ago just behind my church. sango-ota is not such a big area and there is a police command in close proximity to where all these crimes are being perpetrated. its either d police are compromised, out numbered, under equipped or they just need another complimenting force

you cannot accuse me of rewriting facts when I just pointed to you the military is in no position to investigate and do police work on its own. No law supports it.

Before the military could be deployed, our civil authorities (police) must be overwhelmed and the military could come under the summon of the President with conditions set by an act of parliament.

In both python dance 11 and crocodile smile, the police have not been overwhelmed and needed no aid as there wasn't even violence. And in any circumstances, the military should come under the command of the police in all civilian operations.

Don't be a victim of 3rd world distortion!
