My thots exactly, the auto section which is undeniably one of the most popular sections on this forum. Where is ;-
SIENA (auto pimping genius)
JENJU ( probably the father of what is now known as pre-order, his sale of an suv & passat to FOTODADDY and NKC is also in my view the best sale of all time).
INSPIRED M ( i think should be on that list, cos he has had a great impact on this forum, some ppl joind NL just so that they can get in touch wit d guy. He has sold close to 150 cars on this forum if not more, that in my view is a legendary feat. Not 4 getting his numerous NL chieftancy titles.)
Will post more as i rmbr.

It is widely believed on Nairaland that The Politics and Romance section are two 'wonderful places'. . .anyone who doesn't post or contribute on the romance section can't be popular.

the previous official NL awards last time, I saw a post which reads " Since PlatinumK is the winner in the romance section, she deserves to be BEST POSTER on NL". Imagine that. cheesy

great dudes from other sections that makes great contributions in this forum, are always overlooked.

Jarus, youe list is good but You alone can't just decide this. . . .cos you don't visit all sections.

chidipupay:

the truth is dat everybody can not be in the award. so make una no vex

it isnt about vexing

lets put it like this

it is easy to become popular or unpopular in the romance section

any "airhead"can do that

as opposed to say the politics section where you may be chewed alife for thinking the way you do talk less of writing it

we also have the as some said auto section to be known there means you have earned credibility

my personal favorite and the reason for my issue we have a literature section to even be there suggests you are beyond ordinary

i challenge everyone of you to take a walk down there. . .see what people are doing, writing,creating, you will get lost in the words there

now that's what i call ART but sadly they seem to be buried, do you guys realize how good a thread on literature has to be before it can enter 3pages?

if you think its easy , take a walk down there

meanwhile seun

we dont have a functional MOD there if people no dey abeg give the role to me ooo

Re: 50 Men and Women That Moved Nairaland: 2005-2010 by tkb417(m): 1:24pm On Mar 29, 2010
I think Ariblaze and Orikinla are doing superbly at the literature section.
I agree peeps like Siena, Jenju, Inspired and some of the guys should have been mentioned.

But hey, its 50 already but u can add them in the top 10 all time greatest if u wish.
So Ariz, give us your top 10 all time greats and let's move on.

This is a very difficult thing to conceive so credits shd go to Jarus

Another "bottom" licking thread.

How can you have the "greatest of all time" when time itself is endless? It is even more dissapointing that this makes the front page.

Tpia, becomerich, etc made the list! Are you kidding me? Respect to tpia for requesting the removal of her name.

Is it coincidence that those who made the list seem to "see a need" for this thread? Gosh,  all this backside licking is a joke.

The criterias upon which the so called list is drawn is just a joke. So, anyone who do not. register before a certain date is not recognized in this popularity contest? Omo man wah o.

Thank god it is nothing but the view of a one-man panel.

@Jarus,

I've often agree with you on most issues, but this list without Sienna is NOT complete.
Re: 50 Men and Women That Moved Nairaland: 2005-2010 by solokay(m): 2:08pm On Mar 29, 2010
I know its going to hard to satisfy most people with the list but its still a great idea though. In a forum the members generate the content so it makes sense to recognize members for their contribution.

May be this thread is to bring back the old fellows of nairaland back. tongue tongue And by the time the list is reshuffle, it will be"100 Greatest Nairalanders of all Time".

I can see the 50 list comprises mostly contributors from 'Politics, Sports, Religion, Entertainment. What about other sections, does it mean one section is more important than the other? shocked shocked

I didnt see posters having about 7,000+, 3,000+ posts on the list. Does it mean they are not good contributors?

undecided undecided undecided undecided undecided undecided undecided undecided undecided

@TKB

Nah . . . there's no way I can be in the Top 50 list.
I'm not even in the Sports Section top 100.  cheesy cheesy

Thanks for the mention anyways . . .

@Jarus
I do agree with most names on your list
Not trying to be controversial but I think your list kinda ignores the main people on the Entertainment Sections bar Sports.

An example . . . Lalaboi is the only person with Music as his main base.
Mohawkchic's influence in the Fashion Section is swept aside, Amakaone on Food, Javalove and Bamsyle on Music, Eveseh ruled Forum Games, Gabry owned Jokes and Events . . .

This is skewed towards the Politics, Sports and Romance Sections . . .

That said, they're the most important sections on Nairaland . . . but then Nairaland won't be Nairaland without these one-man strongholds in the less-popular sections.
