Nope. No orders are in other than a VIP chopper, not even for the scorpion order is in. You guys want to replace stuff.

April 2014 NAF Chief of staff officially anounced that Nigeria had already acquired new type of fighter aircraft to be showcased to the public later.

NAF is not in hurry to display our new combat aircraft, no rush, no photo cr.aze, no P.R. image boosting cr.aze.

There is ONLY ONE PGM in SAAF and you have only about 15 units of it, Paveway Guided bombs.

NAF Mi-35M and Alpha Jets have capacity to deliver PGM if we buy guided bombs and air to ground guided missiles.

NAF has the capacity but is not using it yet
.

No. Liar.

We have 50.

You do not have the capacity - confirmed by one of your air-force cheifs.

and

You do not have the assets

Nigeria has no means to deliver precision munitions. This is a fact.

NAF Mi-35M Hind E and upgraded Alpha Jets are configured to fire PGM.

NAF has not bought PGM and related hardware, it's easy to install on pylons.

SAAF has only 15 or so pieces of PGM and only guided bombs.

No big deal
.

No they arent

and we have 50

And we make PGM's as well

Yes, and those Jets are Textron AirLand Scorpions

Which you need to buy because you have no platforms that can deliver precision munitions.

Show us proof of the exact altitude of the artillery gun in your photo, how many meters or kilometers above sea level ?

Shut up, the whole of Africa is inferior to SA in terms of artillery batteries. You keep on waining and waining about Indian FH77B which India has upgraded. Show us Nigerian artillery or else keep that mouth shut. India with their FH77B came to SA begging for artillery which is equivalent to G6. So, tell me was India stupidd to have ever made such a purchase?

I don't know how many times did I tell them this even before their chief confessed about obsolence of equipments in their force, especially @agaugust. You know that's the basics of espionage by collecting vital information about any force during battle. The type of equipments and weapons that they use leaves a lot to be desired. It is no longer a secret even before lay people that Nigeria does not have weapons and that most of their equipments are obsolete. They cannot hide that before the media anymore given the way they have been handling insurgents and how in many occasions terrorists have repelled their offensive. It is very unusual that civilians would ever help military in what military is responsible to carry out alone. In that way civilians have the rights to also claim that they are no longer just civilians and deserve to be rewarded payment which is equal to that of soldiers. That unprofessional behavior of military sending civilians on the forefront to do their dirty job is unconventional and seek to disgrace their integrity. As a military man I have been thought to honour Geneva convention rules of not involving civilians in any conflicts that directly interfere with military operations. That action is clearly rebellious in nature and can only be attributed to rebels.

I did not believe the defenceweb story, as at that time I knew the Airforce had placed orders for additional transport helicopters. And as such, wanted to see a credible source to substantiate the story.

Nigeria has placed orders for a substantial amount of helicopters from belarus and ukraine (up-graded with FLIR, MI-35 and MI-17 helicopters), and brand new MI-35M and MI-171sh from russia.

Previous orders for Russian MI-35M have are been delivered.

What I initially asked for was clarity.

No where did she say there where "no". There is a shortage not zero. Big diffrence and it is mainly due to how long it takes to qulfie. It can take up to 1 year for a mech to be qulfied as a duty tech on a frigat that excludes his training and other courses. It takes years for a piot to qet his wings, hell even MRS take 1 year of training(has in 1 year of time on course) before they qulfie. Basic SF training (has before they spelcize and after selecstion) is 17 months. Normal infantry training is all ready 9 months. A comms ratting in the navy does a 9 month course and needs to get 80% plus on his test to pass. A officer in the navy spends 9 months at officer training and arround 2 years at the defence college or unversty before becoming some junior officer that is allowed to train in the fleet. So yes there is shortage of qulfie people.

Nah!!! Chief, our minister was using her skills to entice the parliament into voting for defence review which seeks to expand our military in strength, volume and power. Our military is not in the same conditions under which Nigerian military find itself in. The defence review document which minister tabled before parliament pinpointed all the challenges and shortcomings facing the defence in the country and the solutions which can be implemented. Among others, it seeks to increase military budget and spending, increase the strength of defence, rejuvenate the force, address the issue of shortage of professionals and pilots, replenish and replace the obsolete and aging equipment, and for the establishment of a new rapid deployment force.

HAHAHAH!!! THE TRUTH COMES OUT!!!

AFTER MANY MONTHS OF RUMORS WHICH LEAD CERTAIN MEMBERS OF THIS FORUM AND CERTAIN BLOGGERS TO CLAIM NIGERIA WAS GOING TO ACQUIRE ADVANCED 4TH GEN FIGHTERS... THE TRUTH HAS COME OUT!!

NIGERIA IS SIMPLY ACQUIRING SH!TTY SCORPION JETS!!!

NO TUCANO's! NO SU-30's! NO JF-17 THUNDERS!!

REBEL WORTHY AIRCRAFT FOR A REBEL WORTHY AIRFORCE!!

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is looking to buy 12 Scorpion jets from Textron AirLand to equip a single squadron in order to fight the Boko Haram insurgency gripping the country.

Air Vice Marshal Rufus A Ojuawo, the director of operations for the Nigerian Air Force, said the NAF wants and needs the Scorpion and that a formal request to buy could be made soon. He was speaking at the IQPC Fighter Conference in London yesterday, the Wall Street Journal reports.

“We are really handicapped in attacking the enemy where we want,” Ojuawo said. “We need capabilities for a timely response.” The NAF uses seven Mi-24 attack helicopters for counter-insurgency operations as well as 11 F-7 fighter jets, 21 L-39ZA Albatros, 12 MB-339 and 12 Alpha Jet trainer/light attack aircraft. However, the majority of these aircraft are several decades old and have been worn down by attrition. The F-7s are unable to carry precision guided air to surface weapons while the country’s ATR 72 surveillance aircraft are able to detect insurgent activity but not deploy weapons.

Ojuawo told IHS Jane’s Defence Weekly that the Air Force has obsolete equipment with low serviceability rates and that it needs a rapid response capability with concentrated firepower. He added that the NAF would shortly argue the Scorpion’s case with the government in the hope of initially buying a squadron’s worth of aircraft and possibly more in the future.

There you have it!

The Nigerian Arifroce:

- cannot deploy precision weapons
- is largely obsolete (confirmed)
- has low serviceability
- only has 7 Mi-24's operational
That's a fucken LIE !!! Cause the said light attack jet is still under development and there is only one that as yet being produced !!!!

So this is why you only have 8 qualified Gripen pilots for your fleet of 26 planes, since trainings and deliveries began.

Anyway, you're saying the same thing, as I am, only in a long needless manner.

In simply terms, you and the rest of your military personnel are simply to dull to qualify for anything. It's the same message your defence minister was passing across, only in a less hurtful manner.
