Pakistan does your maintenance for you, and trains your pilots:

The Pakistan Air Force is assisting the Nigerian Air Force with maintenance and training for its F-7 fighter jets and in building the Nigerian Air Force’s capacity.

Pana reports that Pakistani Air Force personnel are present in Nigeria working to maintain Nigerian aircraft. Two Pakistani pilots are providing technical assistance for the Air Force’s Chinese-built F-7NI and FT-7NI jets. Pakistan also operates the type and has trained Nigerian pilots.

The only lie I see exposed is yours.

SAAB of Sweden has white engineers maintaining SAAF Gripen jets for you, same way NAF uses Pakistanis

After paying millions of dollars bribe to SAAB officials to sell Gripens to you, they still milk you dry for maintenance cash until you could no longer afford it and froze 14 Gripens into long term storage

South Africa's first incursion into Angola was the same year - 1975

Police handled the insurgency in Northern Namibia until 1974, only then did the SADF take direct command

And before then, Cuban soldiers fought in:

A 5 year civil war

The bay of pigs - involved 240 000 men

Cuban soldiers had also seen combat in

- Congo Crisis
- Bolivia Insurgency
- Eritrean War
- Yom Kippur War

So, what was it you were saying?

All your post is rubbish.

Cuban Bay Of Pigs was a civil revolt, a failed coup detat see your source mentioned thousands of policemen in action grin

About 150 men armed came ashore to overthrow a government they hate.

The whole fight was 99% civilians vs police.

The whole Bay Of Pigs coup detat crisis ended in about 3 days of civil disobedience, is that a war ?

Liar of Gauteng grin

South Africa was defeated by teenage Cuban girls that have not even fought their boyfriends in school, talk less of a war experience.

The delay for the satellite to be launched was largely because of the control and ownership of the spacecraft. After SA and Russia signed the deal for space technology and industry which will have to be transfered to SA, the full ownership and control of the spacecraft was handed to SA. The ground station will officially be situated in Krugersdorp in Gauteng, that project has already been completed as we speak.

The project was cancelled because.....

"However, around 2007, the South-African government froze Project Flute after the nation's officials had realized that the full control over the satellite and its data would remain in Russian hands and South Africa would depend entirely on NPO Mash for the spacecraft operation. Such an arrangement would likely result in a significant delay of the access to imagery by military users in South Africa after the pictures had been snapped in orbit.

In response to the closure of the project, NPO Mashinostroenia threatened with a legal action, probably demanding a compensation for already incurred expenses.
Moreover, the scandal around Kondor-E threatened to derail a planned launch of the South-African Sumbandila satellite on a Russian submarine-based missile. (The satellite was eventually launched by the Russian civilian space agency, Roskosmos). The situation also led to demands within the South African parliament to investigate the affair."

Eventually Russia took over the satellite, swallowed South Africa's money, and launched the Satellite for Russian use. Ripped off Mandela !

Those satellites are not spy satellites. They are used for earth observation for agricultural purpose, monitoring aftermath of natural disasters, communication and internet coverage. Fool, earth observation satellites don't care who operates them, they just do the job and reveal secrets.

Nigeria has more than what I posted, we just added a brand new state-of-the art radar satellite that NO COUNTRY has in all Africa.

South African military is 100 years behind Nigerian military is strategic and tactical surveillance and ISTAR.

BUSINESS DAY June 2014.

It will no longer be business as usual for pirates, sea robbers, and perpetrators of other criminalities on the Nigerian territorial waters as the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has commenced operations of its satellite surveillance system.

The surveillance satellite system which commenced operations last week is aimed at helping the nation in capturing the presence of any vessel that calls Nigeria’s exclusive economic zone (EEZ), which extends about 200 nautical miles seawards from the coasts of Nigeria.

According to industry close watchers, the satellite system would go a long way in minimising criminal activities that are harmful to the economy, such as oil theft, illegal oil refineries and illegal bunkering in the nation’s maritime domain.

In a statement signed by Isichei Osamgbi, deputy director, public relations of NIMASA, and made available to BusinessDay recently, the agency said putting the satellite system to use has enabled it, in conjunction with the Nigerian Navy and the Nigerian Air Force, to successfully rescue a Ghanaian fishing vessel, known as ‘Marine 711’, from suspected hijackers.

The Ghana-registered vessel was reportedly hijacked off the coast of Ghana and sailed across Togo and Benin Republic to Nigerian waters when the Embassy of the Republic of Korea contacted the agency to help rescue the vessel, which is owned by its national. The Ghanaian Fisheries Authority and the operators of the fishing vessel joined in requesting NIMASA to bring the incident to a logical conclusion.

In a swift operation coordinated by Warredi Enisuoh, NIMASA’s director of shipping development, the agency’s newly-built satellite surveillance system, which is also made up of ‘Cloud Penetrating Radar’ capabilities, was brought to bear and the incident was resolved within six hours.

Revealing further, the NIMASA boss said the agency’s team, working with the Nigerian Navy and the Nigerian Air Force, which used sea and air patrols surveillance, respectively, quickly put up a response and reception plan which led to the hijackers abandoning their mission and fleeing.

“The new 24-hour Surveillance Centre has the capability to detect boats, ships and objects of predefined cross-section floating on water. This includes any aircraft that ditches and remains on the surface during satellite over-flight,” the agency explained.

“Its abilities further includes but not limited to setting range rings and restricted areas for which when penetrated by an intruder, the system gives an alarm thereby alerting the operator and watch-keeper,” it further said.

As regards the rescue operation, Ziakede Patrick Akpobolokemi, director general, NIMASA, expressed satisfaction with the cooperation shown by all parties to the rescue operation, noting that the agency would continue to utilise cutting-edge technology and partnership with the military to secure Nigerian waters from the hands of criminals for enhanced international trade.

Fake story with no proof. No source confirms the sale. You cannot buy satellites in secret and the whole world does not know.

The only existing story is that the sale was cancelled with good reason stated.

Russia won't sell a spy satellite secretly to South Africa without reporting the sale to UN as required by international law.
