The quote below equally exposes the lies you Southies help propagate by saying that our neighbours are doing all the fighting and is from your posted article;

"Analysts say boastings from regional armies should be treated with caution, as the Islamists are far from defeated and can easily regroup, especially if there is a let-up in the military pressure."

Nigeria doesn't run it's Defence on pages of the internet. Neither is defenceweb an authority on the ground. infact they depend entirely on beegeagles blog for Nigerian military news.

However, here's one for you.

There's only one country in the world that supplies the MI-24V.

Here are 3 NAF MI-24V's, can you present a source that shows the delivery of 3 MI-24V's to the Nigerian military.

The problem is that you kicked the Chadian army out of your borders when they wanted to chase the rebels deep in your country knowing well that rebels fled somewhere they knew. What did you do when they requested permission? you kicked them out and told them the situation is under control and that you will manage to drive them out all alone. The insurgents did not wait for you to drive them out. They revisited Damasak when most people returned back thinking it was now safe. They were left all alone in mercy of Boko Haram since you kicked Chad out of your jurisdiction. The leadership in your military needs to be changed. It now good mews that the soon to leave, rotten political leadership has been changed, all that is now left is to reshuffle your current military generals.

Your military is incapable. It does not care about the security of the people.

You see how daft you are. The jurisdiction of the MNJTF was and is to secure the border regions and Towns near the border and hold on to them (including surrounding areas). They were not to take paparazzi with them to get glory.

They shouldn't have left the towns as Nigerian troops were advancing from the South.

The Chadians falsely told Nigerian troops that Dikwa was liberated only for Nigerian troops to walk into an ambush.

The Chadians and friends were told to make their requests through the proper channels so the facts could be established.

The Chadians kept going in and out of Damask without securing the surrounding area, hence BH kept returning.

That man is CHRIS OLUKULADE, he is full of lies and many a times his lies are brought out to the light for all to see. Nigeria has 20 Alpha jets all upgraded to 2013 modern European standard and 2014 American standard. The American versions fire PGMs.

11 F-7 jets with year 2005 radar and avionics, and a deadly modern PL-9C missile.

MBB 339 are in Italy for upgrade.

L-39 Albatross has Czech upgrade in the last decade.

Hawk jets have no radar and are just trainers in light ground attack role. The pilots have ZERO air to ground combat experience on the Hawks.

South Africa has 9 Gripen pilots not combat qualified but manageable to fly air show at Mandela's funeral only.

The radar on the Gripen are 1995 era...20 years obsolete Gripen radars.

SAAF Gripens have less than 1 missile for each jet aircraft...approximately 0.98 missiles per jet.

If I need an air force for a comedy show, I will hire South African air force.....your combat status will make the world to laugh !

South Africa is in same bucket with Malawi according to United Nations military rankings released in Congo DRC
.

Nigeria has two upgraded Alpha jets

Hawks can engage air-to-air targets with missiles and a connection to Link-ZA. While the a-darter has lock-on-after-launch, meaning that it can be dry-fired without any targeting info at all.

Gilfino radar on the F-7 is from the 1980's

SAAF has 18 Gripen aircrew and 52 Hawks aircrew.

A-darter production starts this year - our supply will soon only be constrained by how many the production line can turn out per month.

Your airforce is utter trash, the F-7 cannot be compared to the Gripen in the same way your old Alpha jets cannot be compared to the Hawk.

How does a Gripen identify a Roland when there are other tracked vehicles, T-72, MT-LB, Scorpion, Shilka AAA....at 6 km above sea level, your pilot sees nothing on ground due to distance and cloud cover....at 40 km stand-off range radar is picking all vehicles that look like tanks from city to city over a long distance....confusion....cannot identify a Roland among the whole lot.....GPS is useless, the Roland is a vehcile and is mobile....can change position randomly.....laser designator is useless because your soldier cannot enter Nigerian base or territory as infantry will slaughter h.im.

You see why air to ground attack jet pilots are forced to take risk and enter range of enemy air defences, NAF faced that challenge against Boko Haram....only ATR-42 Surveyor was able to solve most problems of target identification and yet it had to fly within SAM range, but only AAA was a threat.

I am just education you South Africans about how difficult air to ground attack war can be, and how useless very long range weapons can be in a war....100 km range bomb looking for target in a distant city....waste of time when you face an enemy like Nigeria.

PHOTO : NAF ATR-42 SURVEYOR ELINT...DOING GROUND SURVEY TARGET IDENTIFICATION FOR NIGERIAN FORCES IN WAR THEATRE
.

1. Gripen PS-05/A can detect ground targets at 120km?
2. What is a recon satelight?
3. What is Thales Sophie ground search radar?
4. Laser designation can be deployed from Sniper-Pods or by SF/SOF who have a long history of deploying deep behind enemy lines.

Who says that you cannot see ground targets with Recce pods from high altitude?

100km bombs a waste of time? Are bridges mobile? Ammo dumps? Runways? Hangars? Controll towers? Motor-pools? Fuel Storage facilities? Ammo dumps? Power stations? Oil infrastructure?

History says one Harrier jet was in the air and dropped two bombs.

SANDF fights NO WAR, so you guys don't know how real war is fought. The Roland operator was well trained, jet in the air and two bombs, if you fire 3 missiles and the pilot deploys chaff and flares, it can waste all 3 missiles. the Roland man fired 8 missiles to guarantee victory over any false targets released as ECM or chaff by the enemy jet pilot.

South Africa has NOTHING like a Roland system so you will never know standard air defence tactics unless Nigerians teach you.

Roland fired 8 missiles and destroyed ALL TARGETS AVAILABLE IN THE AIR.....100% kill rate....perfect
.

Where does history say one harrier was in the air and dropped two bombs?

History says Roland fired 8 missiles and got 3 hits.

History says Roland operational accuracy is 37%

Error 1...

Gripen radar in ground operation mode for scan is 75 km and tracking is about 50 km.

Error 2....

Gripen radar will detect ALL vehicles on the 50 km road or space and will NEVER differentiate a Roland from other vehicles, radars show you dots and beep, ONLY a Tv camera can show you the what is a car or a bus.

I think we should leave this Roland issue alone before you Southies commit s.uicide today o !

Nigeria has ground based NAF radars with 500 km range.

I posted that few months ago from SIPRI....same time I posted SANDF radars that I proved were purchased in the 1980s era of old.

We both have fixed land based radars to cover battle space. What do you think Nigerian TRACON means ?

Nigeria has many long range ground radars including the recent acquisition of 5 units of brand new year 2010 purchased ultra-modern British Thales RSM 970 S Monopulse Mode S Secondary Radars with 500 km target detection range that are move-able by trucks to an FOB forward air base.

I proved that Roland shoots down bombs, that is classic. I post citations for all my claims if I insist they have sources.

It's you Southies that like to argue with sources when it bursts your over-bloated bubble and shatters your inflated ego.

We just wrecked SAAF brand new 120 km range Umbani-Al Tariq guided bombs here, and you guys are butt hurt that Nigeria has capacity to defeat such a modern long range weapon by using a much older equipment. Shock, that's what we give you here, shockers...shocks...live wire.

NAF had 24 French made Alpha jets, attrition cost about 6 units.

The new American 6 Alpha jets, are American owned PGM capable and upgraded by the users, now sold to Nigeria, the videos and photos were splashed here many weeks ago. The older NAF Alpha jet upgrades showed a total of 14, the 9 was first batch. All those stories have been posted here, if you have short memory, it's normal for every South African
.

Still bragging about that one time when you posted a citation?

See, for you its so rare that you somehow think posting a citation is a major acheivement!!

Now, citations for alpha jets please.

If Umbani is so easily defeated why are so many Militarys that are in every way superior to Nigeria purchasing them?

Are you blind, 6 American Alpha jets are upgraded for precision guided munitions combat by the American users before Nigeria bought them.

The older French built Alphas had 9 in batch one upgrade to 6 pylons instead of 4 hard points, and second batch of 5 went for upgrades too, NAF announced that in 2014, was posted here. Adding new pylons is not refurbishment, it's upgrade. Total now 20 Alpha jets.

Consult the archives, lazy man.

We are talking about two different incidences, Marte and Sambisa forest. I am talking about Marte which has been forcefully taken away from your troops.

You are posting a false report....now eat the humble pie grin grin

" The reports by some media outfits claiming that terrorists are now in control of Mafa in Borno State are false. The truth is that an attempt by a group of fleeing terrorists who strayed towards the town and engaged in their typical suicide attack was duly repelled by troops. Similarly, the claim by some media organisations that terrorists chased out troops and took over Marte cannot be verified as troops were busy elsewhere during the said attack.

However, all efforts to track the terrorists who were reported to have attacked the town have not indicated their presence as claimed. Surveillance activities are however ongoing although there has been no indication of the large number of terrorists as being claimed in some reports attributed to anonymous sources. The terrorist are certainly no longer capable of that level of coordinated action by thousands of terrorists as reported.

Also, troops have not retreated from Sambisa forest as claimed by same sources. Rather, the operation is progressing and gaining increasing momentum towards clearing all terrorists hideouts in the forest.

It is noteworthy that it is becoming common for stories of attacks on some remote settlements to be fabricated and attributed to anonymous or unidentifiable source in remote places. This is apparently the work of terrorists sympathisers or propagandists.

Military operations to eliminate all terrorists hideouts are going on well and the terrorists are being seriously decimated. They will continue to be pursued and prevented from constituting danger to civilian population in their desperation for survival, suicide or publicity.

The media is advised to ignore fabrication being churned out by some terrorists sympathizers trying to encourage the terrorists who are in disarray. The truth is that the operation to decimate them from Nigerian territories is progressing well. The military will not be dissuaded by the resurgence of false reports on the operations. The progress will be prosecuted as necessary."
