"Do you mean the girl that fought in the club?" the bouncer asked a second time, Dan was at the club, he was performing but with a smaller exclusive crowd.
"Yeah her, did you guys check her ID or something?" Dan asked hopefully.
"Guy, this na naija, this isn't abroad, she looked nice and rich enough. I didn't want trouble with all these small girls, soon they appear with big men and I'll be sacked." the huge man explained soberly.
Dan nodded and waved him off, he took a sip of his drink. This was getting harder than he thought he had to up his game, he wasn't losing this chick.

Five years later
"Dan, come check out this babe. She just won some famous fashion award." Dan ignored Kunle as he played with his PS4.
"Guy drop that thing and check out this hot babe, she has that Kim K backside and her face is like an angel." Kunle nudged the joystick out of his hand, and placed his tablet in front of him.
"Seriously, now... I was just entering FIFA finals now, guy." he complained but took the device.
"Damn, this is the girl I've been looking for. Like that girl we went online everywhere looking for her face with a face detector. Where did you get that from?" he said, sitting upright, adjusting his yoga pants.
"No wonder, you stopped testing around, hmm my guy tell me how you nailed this one, cause this her backside if its real, it is a problem." the ending of his statement brought smiles to their faces as the referral to Reeky B's song Problem.
"Guy, I don't know if I should say its God or luck or fate. I just finished performing and I noticed her drinking alone, so I tried chatting her up but she cut me off later she got into a fight, she was sent out, and I followed guy that's how I got laid that night." he explained as he looked at the picture, the glowing skin, her smile and those damn curvy body of hers. He was going to get her, whoever brought her out on news did him a good favour.
Her name was there as a caption, it read Sophia Amaka Benjamin wins Fashion Artist of the year.
Sophia...hmm sounds really familiar. She ran once, she wasn't going to the next time.

Chapter 8
Present
"Sophia, where are you on IG?" Dan murmured to himself as he checked around, it had been a year now and he hadn't caught another item on her except internationally.
She had an impressive profile, she had outfitted male celebrities worldwide like Brad Pitt, Adam Levine and so on. She had also designed dresses alongside Chanel best designers. She had an impressive net worth, definitely his type of woman.
She had investments spread through out the world and was known for her generosity.
The latest picture she took was breathtaking, she wore a long floral dress and she had a winning smile. It was at the Well B clothing launching, he wished he went but because of his schedule, he couldn't make it. So she was back home, that was nice, he decided to call up his PI, who once served in the SSS.
They discussed how they'd contact her and all that, little did they know that what they were looking for in Sokoto, was actually dancing in their shokoto(trousers).
Dan was very excited, he had been booked for a high society wedding, and the best part of it all, was that amongst the family, Sophia was the chief organiser. There was no way they wouldn't meet. He was glad about that...very glad.

"Sophia, this is the artist we talked about, he's an award winning artist, with currently millions of fan base all over." Sophia turned to Boma, who was introducing whoever it was, as they emerged.
Sophia felt her heart constrict, all her vital organs ceased functioning for a second. She tried to calm herself and smile, instead she felt hot burning tears searing at her eyes.
This was nemesis, this was Karma, she had hidden for so long, she created so many fake profiles to get him off her back. She remembered all the ways she blocked his friend requests on Facebook, blocked his access on IG, and constantly switched accounts on Twitter.
He came in and gave Boma, a brief curt smile. She had already anticipated his coming, she had seen the list and she had wondered why on earth she decided to help Christine, Ness's cousin to organize her wedding.
But the shock was still there, she felt sweat trickle down her spine. Could he still recognize her? Does he know about his son?
"Good afternoon Miss Benjamin, so we finally meet...again." he said smirking at her, Gosh! He remembered.
"Afternoon Mr Ani, please do have your seat." she said, as she shook his hands. She felt tingles and butterflies in her stomach. "Sophia stop acting like a lovesick teen." she chided herself.
"Thank you. So I'm here to discuss the arrangements and bookings." she nodded briefly before her mouth just went dry, he looked even more handsome than before.
"Em...all you need is with your agent, you really shouldn't have come." she said after resuscitating her salivary glands.
"Really, I prefer meeting with my clients to know what they really want, its customary to me, I don't get personal but I'll like to get more information. Afterall information is power." he said, as he leaned into the settee, sizing her up. She began to regret wearing the low cut plunge mini dress that Ness gave her. It was really a grave mistake, especially from the reactions she was receiving. He looked like he was starving and she was his best dish.
"Then what do you want to know?" she said, as she sat up, this dress shouldn't embarrass her.
"Oh just the couple, how they met and minor stuff...then I'd like to know why you ran away then?" he gave her a challenging look. The grey button down shirt molded his frame and everytime he spoke, it was like..."Sophia get a hold of yourself." she said inside her.
"Why I ran away? I don't understand what you're saying. The couple would meet with you in a moment, do excuse me." she said, as she stood from her seat. Christine and Jacob was already coming in, that was a quick relief, that was so close. She ran out of the office and left the to be couple to engage the man.
Boma grinned when he caught her sneaking out,"Boma, you scared me." she turned when she heard a footstep behind her.
"Of course and oh Chris is here." he said, pointing from his window at the school bus already dropping her son.
"Oh My! Boma you know how much I love you, right?" she gave him a pleading look.
"So I should play with him or what? Look for your information if everybody is blind, I'm not blind that boy is a direct wax imprint of Dugbsy boy, but I wonder why." he said as he gave her a questioning look.
"People look alike a lot, ever heard of dopplegangers. So leave it at that, people tell me that a lot, my son looks like a popular star. Duh! Why shouldn't I be proud." she shrugged and ignored Boma's piercing gaze.
"Okay whatever just pay me in full, a pack of mint and some goodies Ness brought for you." he said, as he dusted imaginary dirt from his lavender shirt.
"You're the best. Gotta go." she said as she ran back to her office.

"Sophia, Sophia, is there a problem?" she turned as Gina sat beside her, they were with the florist who was arranging the wedding bouquet.
"No." she answered sharply, and she brushed away her hair.
"Then why have you been staring into the air?"Gina asked glaring at her.
"I said nothing." she hissed at her friend.
"Sophia remember that there's nothing new under the sun. So talk you have been like this for two weeks now. Talk now." Gina said, as she looked around for the florist.
"See leave me, abi? You'll help me to solve it abeg, I'm even tired of all this wedding matter sef." she made to stand up, just as the voluptuous florist, Hannah Ryder came in. She was famous and from South Africa.
She always wore African textiles and that was how they got her, she worked with event decor planners worldwide but because Gina was well known and was her designer.
She had been fully booked but Gina overrode her schedule. She was now with them, helping to pick the flower arrangements and bouquet.
"You're about to leave?" she asked Sophia, Sophia shook her head and took her seat.
After an hour of picking and deciding, they left for the caterer.
"Sophia you know I can force out words from you, talk now."Gin said, as they drove on.
"Okay, what will you do if someone you've been avoiding suddenly appears on your doorstep and is blackmailing you into entering relationship." sheer asked, Gina gave her a serious look.
"Why didn't you talk since, who is the person by the way?" she said, as she cut the ignition after they parked at a restaurant.
"Dan Ani." she said, looking out of the window.
"Wait are you saying that you had something with Dan, as in the musician Dugbsy boy."Gina asked, as she was taken aback.
Sophia only nodded.
"When was this?" she asked further, her friend wasn't a fangirl type.
"At the club 98, like six years during his opening concert." she said as tears trickled down her cheeks.
"So that was the guy you disappeared with, but didn't you hate him? How come you even looked at him? Because I know you well enough to say you don't even care for his music." Gina said, as she eyed her friend warily. She pushed back her side bangs.
"I was drunk, stupid and insecure. I wasn't thinking and now Karma is chasing me." she said regretfully.
"What did he say?" Gina pitied Sophia, she wasn't one for the media attention.
"He had some clips of the fight I had with Funke and threatened to make it public, it would damage my career and then my public image. " she explained.
"How did he get it?"Gina asked, she was aware of the fight.
"I don't know." she said sobbing.
"Stop crying, well what do you want to do now?" Gina looked at her phone, she needed some contacts from Ness.
"I really don't know. I'm just happy that he hadn't found out about Chris." she said quietly.
"Damn, Sophia are you sick? Dan is Chris' dad right. How could you? Sophia how could you? If he finds out himself and it gets to court, you'll be in a much bigger mess." she slammed her forehead on the steering wheel. All the years of hardwork will go down the drain.
"So what am I to do now?" Sophia looked at her, begging with her eyes.
"Tell him, its better that way, and remember the law at home is never have different fathers for your children." Gina said shrugging.
"Tell him? That would just give him more leverage, the first time was a mistake and I'm not making any more by the way." Sophia said, wiping her face.
"Well you're not because all this nonsense must end. Today I'm going to meet Ness and we are going to tell your parents. You have delayed this for so long, the sooner the better or do you think Chris doesn't need a father or Dan doesn't want a son." Gina said, as she picked her purse.
"I hate you, is that all you are going to say." Sophia couldn't believe her friend, after all they had been through together.
"My friend abeg, I'm hungry. If you are not ready, join me later." Gina said, ignoring her as she left the car.

before I continue I'll like to say a few things, this is a no comments area.
Firstly, this life is full of twists and turns, sycophants and critics, mistrust and deceit. Never ever trust anyone too much.
Secondly, this story is fast approaching its end, like I said before I wanted a hiatus. But because I was moved to FP, I dared not. I had planned that this would be a fifteen chapter book. To add to it would be a special poll quiz and an interview with the characters.
The poll quiz will come on the day of the last chapter and the interview will be next week Tuesday.
The winners of the poll quiz will get a discount on my new releases which I would mention later in the course of the story.
Whilst the interview you get to ask Sophia, Dan, and every character a question. It will be broadcast live by Akproko.com and hosted by yours truly don't miss it.
I have learnt how painful it is to start reading a story and find out it has been abandoned, many times I feel like going to the writer to please finish up.
But we all know this, they may never finish up. That is why I prefer writing short stories and I call them marshmallow bites on Wattpad or Fictionpress but here I'll call them chin chin bites.
Then before dropping this new update, I'd like to everyone to know this that we are all human no one is perfect, just and right.
Well except for the supreme and sovereign creator. We all make mistakes and if we do, we should learn to take corrections and correct others in love.
That will be all. Now unto the matter on ground.

"No one understands me. No one ever feels for me." Sophia sat on her bed, she leaned on the pillow.
Her mind flashed through the month's events evoking tears of pain, pain and so much was going on.
She remembered how after Christine and her hubby to be left the office, she looked out of the window to see the dancing palm leaves. The day was beautiful but inside her air conditioned office wrapped up in work and worries, she just wished to go out, relax and relieve herself of the stress.
"Sophia, why did you leave?" she heard it clearly, that hurt tone. It was his ego and his pride that hurt. She knew that.
"Why did I leave? Mr Ani you came here on official matters which have been resolved, kindly take your leave." she said, as she pulled down the dress.
"Just give me an answer then woman? Why did you leave? You just disappeared into thin air, just like that." he ran his hands through his full almost dreadlock style hair. His eyes were carrying a pleading look.
"Because I felt uncomfortable, I never wanted any further relationship, I just found my ex playing mattress poker with my best friend, and then a total stranger hit on me, in my alcoholic daze I gave my consent to him and bam I woke up beside a stranger, who out of nowhere I just had a night with. Did you expect me to wait like a naive rat, so you can show me the door later huh? Or did you expect me to suddenly take over your life all because you slept with me?" she asked, as she waved her hands in the air.
"So what you are saying is that all the events that came up that night was nothing to you, right? " he leaned against the desk, staring straight into her eyes.
"Ahem! What did you expect? I should run around and be happy because I just got laid for the first time in my life or what?" she added sarcastically.
"Shut up woman, shut up, so you concluded in your mind that I'm just pick random girls and screw them, listen to your warped sense of reasoning. You are just too high handed, you think so much of yourself..." he was stopped by her sudden change to anger.
"Well give me a good reason why I shouldn't believe that you chase everything in skirt then? I mean you guilt tripped me into going to your house." she said, folding her arms across her chest.
Dan knew he was wasting time and she knew too, she gave a bright smile as he took his leave. "It was nice doing business with you Mr Ani, have a nice day." she said, as she slammed the door on his face.

Dan was confused and annoyed, was this lady so blind by her ex's cheating on her that she couldn't see reason.
He collapsed on the chair in his living room, it was getting harder than he thought he didn't need a messy relationship, but his head and his damn hormones were just heading towards her direction.
Why on earth was she playing hard to get and I'm better off than you. He sighed, there were a few ways to get her on his bed for his selfish reasons until he had her out of his system. He had to have her either by crook or any means.
*hmm see that's what we sometimes get when we play too good*
"These are the CCTV files and footage sir." the security agent was more than happy to help him.
Dan shook his hand and gave him something to buy coca cola from.
"You really didn't need to, Sir" the man said, fisting the money and smiling. Dan grinned and waved him off, this was all he needed and her whole precious over achieving good girl image and career will crumble like appropriate pack of cards.
*this boy eh?*
"Mr Ani, what do you want this time?" Sophia stopped her car, he had been tailing her for an hour now and Chris was asleep in the car.
"Oh I just wanted you to see a few wedding performances so you could pick the best, have you forgotten Christine said you are to look at them." he said innocently.
"Okay fine, but make it quick." she said, as she turned covered Chris with a throw blanket and got down from her orange Tucson jeep.
She collected his device, but to her shock she was watching the video of her fight with Funke, she felt blood leave her face.
"So how did you like it?" he gave her a nice goodboy smile.
"Er where did you get this from?" she asked after she recovered from her shock.
"From the bar of course, you couldn't have forgotten how you belated me, and told me even if I drugged you, you wouldn't trip for me." he gave a knowing smirk.
"Imagine this on social media, the good girl, role model, the philanthropist, the hero of women drunk and fighting like a common street rat. It would sure make a blog famous." he continued, as he watched her trembling.
"What do you want?" she asked the dreaded question, she knew he had a vantage point.
"Simple, I want you, on my bed, on the table, on the sofa well anywhere you specify and I want you to give yourself willingly, I hate one sided affairs."he said, as he moved closer to her.
"Can I get some time to think about this first?"Dan was surprised she could still talk,he gave her a nod and kissed her.
