omonnakoda:Mumu. Since the end of the war till now, we have held more positions than the SW, expect Presidency. We know why you people got it first in this republic and how you people knelt down to beg Atiku to allow you people do a second term. |

I pity both the op and every common man in Nigeria! What has common Yoruba men gained so specially from 8-year rule by their Son? What has common Huasa men gained so specially from this current government? What has common Igbo men gained so specially from the government of Goodluck Johnathan and that of Obasanjo who featured many Igbos in their cabinet? We had our brother Soludo as the CBN Governor, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala as the finance minister, Alison Madueke as Petroleum Minister and many others. Our problem is how we can get leaders, free from nepotism, bigotry, corruption and all the vices that are bedeviling Nigeria as a nation. In other words, the masses (not minding the tribe) are constantly being marginalized! When we complain on tribal lines, we are only agitating against the marginalization of our politicians and believe me, we are crying more than the bereaved because they are "not complaining". (We say that Hausas are marginalizing us, but if I ask you who mostly shines your shoes, serves as your gate-man and lives in abject poverty, you will tell me they are Hausas! If I ask you again, who marginalizes you, you will say Hausas.) Let us try to pity ourselves! Let us try to identify our problem and our common enemy and then channel our strength correctly! 3 Likes |

Alariiwo:I have been following your rant and hoe you often stir up tribal war. Not to single out the Igbps though. But I think Nairaland has reached its prime and beyond that too. It is time to bury this forum so that una body go rest. Just watch. When you have no place to spill your tribal rubbish, you will find better things to do. Yeah, and the key will be thrown away. You all should enjoy the moment for now. |

oooduancalmdown:That is what I am saying. 500k for the entire SW is poor. Anambra alone gave GEJ a lead of over 600k in the State, this renders useless the lead from SW. NC made Buhari President! |

oooduancalmdown:Meaning SW was only able to deliver a margin of victory of 500k votes. SW delivered 500k to Buhari while Anambra alone delivers 600k to GEJ. It means Anambra possesses more electoral value than entire SW. |

omonnakoda: In 1960 This happened :https://www.nairaland.com/3780719/politics-first-coalition-govt-nigeria Awolowo through his typical Yoruba treachery killed any chance of NCNC -AG alliance. Awolowo greed and political immaturity landed him in opposition, it wasn't his plan. 1965 Akintola and Kayode NNDP sold out and became Balewa lap dogs. They killed the election boycott championed by NCNC, forcing NCNC back to NPC, Yorubas under APC are doing same again today, they are forcing One Nigerian chanting Igbos back to Northern coalition with Atiku, in bid to pay Yorubas back. You see, history always repeats itself. 1979. It was a three horse race between Awolowo , Zik and Shagari Both Shagari and Awolowo had Igbo VPs Igbo candidate for the election was Zik, and there was no pre election alliance between NPP( Zik party) and NPN( Shagari party. NPN contested elections independently, but couldn't win majority in the house to form the central government, so they had to invite either Zik or Awo to form the government, but for some reason, chose Zik. So, no way was NPP in alliance with NPN, they were bitter rivals, as we saw with Jim(NPP) and Onoh (NPN) fierce political battles then. 1983 Same as above. Now here is the Truth. In 1964 Akintola NNDP teamed up with NPN to wreck havoc in the Western region. In 1966 Awolowo chose to become an errand boy to a Northern military dictator, and thereafter, carried out a failed genocide attempt on Ndiigbo. In 2015 Tinubu led Yorubas to undermine another Southern solidarity against the North, just like his Yoruba predecessor, Akintola did in NNDP. I don't need to remind you of the historical union of Afonja and his Fulani overlord Alimi, that wrecked havoc in your religion, islamizing parts of Yorubaland in conquest, and forever costing you the control of Ilorin. You are historically shameless Fulani slaves, and they don't fear to tell it to your faces, because they know you are slippery and stands for nothing. Listen to words of your Fulani overlords : "...We also captured Ilorin, killed their local King and installed our Fulani Emir. We took that ancient town away from the barbarian Yoruba and their filthy pagan gods. We liberated all these places and all these people by imposing Islam on them by force. It was either the Koran or the sword, and most of them chose the Koran..." -Alhaji Aliyu Gwarzo 3 Likes |
