@BabbanBura You just wrote a nice prologue for being a successful Groom. I learnt cooking from my aunt who sells soup for bachelors and married men who are not satisfied with their wife's cooking. |
My elder and married sister is the worst cook to walk the face of the earth. I say this with all the sadness my heart can muster. I went to the market today, bought 3 kg live chicken, the freshest tomatoes, spices, vegetables and stuff for stew, soups, and salad. Since she began living in my apartment with her kids she's shown me brief snippets of what she can do but I thought that was because she didn't have enough ingredients to cook with, but I digress. So I handed over the items to her and went out to drink with my buddies. I also gave her N5k just so that everything can be soft on account of today being Easter. Imagine my anger, sadness, and grief when I came back, bathed and was served the worst stew in the history of the world. 1- The tomatoes in the stew was charred - not burnt, charred. 2- She put crayfish in the chicken stew and basically killed all the chicken flavor 3-The rice was parboiled till it was rubbery 4- The rice was salted so badly that it's taste and flavor dominated that of the stew 5- The salads were an apology. 6 - maggi cubes were used indiscriminately for taste making lending a sharp industrialized tang to the food Imagine how hurtful it is when you spend ten thousand naira on a meal and yet you cannot eat it. I was mad. If the woman I marry cook that kind of trash for me, I will slap her and pour it on her, sequel to me asking her to leave my house. My sister is a horrible cook who is making my life hard at the moment. She has also taught me the importance of marrying somebody who can cook. I feel so pained because she is still going to be with me for another 6 months. I just can't wait. Her food is the stuff hell is made of. Oh my! My stomach hurts just reading about your ordeal |

I sincerely think I demand an unreserved apology from Ishilove, first you're a mod, somehow you're supposed to be a model here (judging by your antecedents), you're also a Christian(we've met on some threads where I considered your opinion very valid and knowledgeable), I didn't respond in same measure to your "sexist idiot" tag because of the respect I have (and still have) for your person (although I do not know you beyond this faceless forum). From your most recent comments, I can see you've realised the humour in this post hence you should do the needful. Cc Ishilove |

Are you the the original writer? Are you the owner of the source Facebook account? Answer these questions first before we go to the issue of apology
Must you call him an idiot before you make your point ? Perhaps you're not a good cook ? I'm sure he wouldn't have mentioned your name if he knew you were going to insult him. Apart from his mistake of saying poverty is rooted in some people's system, there's nothing discriminatory about his write-up. I don't even understand this habit of name-dropping some fellas on nairaland just because you wanna hit front page. Don't take it personal. "nolove." |
Re: Women And Their Cooking Styles (before You Say I Do) by Ishilove: 7:15pm On Apr 02, 2018 |
generaliy:This translates to 'no' to both questions so there is no need for an apology |

Ishilove: You know the right thing, you don't have to dodge it, however I'm letting go, no need dragging over trivial issues. |
Re: Women And Their Cooking Styles (before You Say I Do) by Ishilove: 7:24pm On Apr 02, 2018 |
Iamhappiness:I didn't call him an idiot. I directed the adjective to the original writer and I still stand by it. Majority find it funny that a person is being called a 'poverty ridden', 'village witch' and 'kitchen slowpoke' but find it offensive when I labelled the writer 'sexist idiot'. Talk about double standards. |

Jodha:Hahahah U want to teach me how to cook... Hahahah.. No worry, u know how the matter dey be for there.. No need to talk am here..... Those not gifted in cooking would still say they are great cook so that sermon won't fly...with all these generation of indomie girls, it would be foolhardy to say a daft thinking lady would say she doesn't know how to cook. Thank God for we men, we upped our game, our cooking skills might even Relegate women to the back in the kitchen making them take tutorials. ...i know u hardly here just as me lately ..hope you good.... |

It's not a big deal for a guy to know how to cook it's a normal thing.. Upped which game biko....lool... Women can never be relegated to the back especially with affairs of the kitchen... Impossicant... I'm awk...how 'bouh yhu? |
