The few days was not a walk in the park like it usually did with Derrick and I. He started acting like I was a pain in his shoes so that everyone around could read the "Get lost" signs he was shoving forcefully down my throat.

"Olaedochukwu, imana idi very sweet" Livinus one of the producers said as I sat in his car. He had earlier told Derrick he was taking me out if he didn't mind and he gave him the I don't care attitude. I didn't need his approvals any longer, I had to make hay for myself, so I dressed up and followed him to a different hotel.

"I promise you lead role in my next movie" he continued, my eyes widened as to what my pu.ssy can actually offer me. "When are you starting exactly" I asked while smiling like a roasted goat. I imagined alot of offers and possibilities a lead role could give me. Would I tell my friends the secret to my fame.

I was lost in thought when he told me about his next movie and when it was to commence. "Olaaaaehhh" he kind of screamed and it jolted me back to reality. I had to pretend I heard him while trying to tell him to quit calling me Olaedochukwu cause it made me appear even more local. "Oga Livinus please it's Britney, Britney o" I said with a smile but driving the message down his senses.

"Britney is it dog name like Bingo? Abeg hapum Kam kpuwa gi Olaedochukwu, Ola nkem" he said while counting some naira notes, about 10k. "Foolish man" I muttered "whatever rocks your boat Biko" I thought to myself while eyeing the wads of money in his hand.

He handed it to me and said I should manage it for awhile and I nodded, that was really huge for me, Derrick never gave me a dime to my name. "Maybe" I thought to myself"I could rent my own apartment if I continued making this effortless money daily". Truly the human mind is wired for more, the more money you have, the more money you would want to acquire.

Chapter Three

Life in Faith's house was truly hell on Earth. My father's hut was sure better than what I had expected it to be. The bushes where we pooed we're at least kempt, we do not meet fresh new faeces in the same location twice.

Nepa nko, they barely flash light and when they do, the echoes of people shouting "Up Nepa" is sure to give you migraines after which they will take back there light in 10minutes. In my village, I don't have a phone so light issues didn't bother me.

Though we had a generator that my father worked Soo hard for, so he could be able to power on the television he inherited from his late father, my grandfather. We also used it to charge our own form of electricity, the rechargeable lanterns, so we were never in the dark.

Here we were always in complete darkness, stepping on each other's toes at night when we go to ease ourselves outside the street gutters. Sometimes, we just keep talking and gisting till mid morning, then we open the windows for the weak light to come through. None of us could sacrifice our phone torches cause the battery was a darling to us, it kept us company during the day.

So one-day, we were very hungry as usual but that day seemed extra ordinary, we had taken a bottle of Lord's dry gin and fallen like a fallen mighty heros only to awaken in the morning with a bang of hunger.

One of the producers I was f.ucking had earlier promised to make a transfer to my account that evening, so out of Joy and excitement, I used my last change to treat the girls with a bottle of Lord's Dry Gin. I woke up in the morning searching for an alert and it never came through, "wow! Britney get some sense" I muttered to myself.

"Babes" I started as we lay lazily on the bed, staring at our dusty ceiling without a single hope as to what we would eat. They yawned and adjusted themselves to hear what I had to say.

"Shebi makeup na food abi?" I continued, Lizzy hissed and lay back on the bed, I shaked my head cause they obviously couldn't think out of the box. "Ola, I think say you get talk, abeg I take God beg you, don't disturb us again" Faith said and hissed loudly before murmuring "this condition wey we dey na u cause am". Then like a log of wood, she fell back on the bed.

I didn't disturb them further, I went to the lady selling outside the compound and borrowed spaghetti from her. I wasn't even done cooking when Lizzy found her way to the kitchen. Even though it was a public kitchen and we usually did the cooking outside, Lizzy said she swore I was the one cooking, she couldn't mistake the aroma for someone else.

She hugged me sooo dearly then gave me a peck while shouting "Britney fashi, after you na you!". Her happiness was enough for me to be pleased with myself that I had to go outside again to the woman and got eggs too on credit. "we have to eat well to f.uck well" I thought to myself.

I bet they would never know what next to hit them, if only they knew, they just might have not taken anything from me and wait till a miracle happens. Truly one bad egg spoils the bunch, it may not be immediately but with time it sure will.
