This may sound funny but it has actually happened before, when in the 80s my good childhood friend and then old Imo state commissioner of police Mr Fidelis Oyahkilome introduced a uniform with pockets in his command. He did also introduce a rule that no police officer on duty should carry more than five Naira on him or face dismissal if caught.

And it works like magic. And guess what, few years later, the rogue called IBB rubbished/blackmailed this good person out of service with a lady called Jennifer Maduike.

as dumb as it may sound, globally, there are now wireless chip and pin readers that allows for easy wireless transactions. all they need is electricity, thank God for Generator and internet and link with bank. i don't think the police care if the transaction is documented or not. The point is, as technology is advancing in Nigeria, the looters too always update themselves with improved ways of looting. Its a bit like yahoo boys who are always looking for new ways to scam. our police is no different from them. In few years to come, can u just imagine our police asking you to pop ur card into the chip and pin reader and then tells u exactly how much he wants from u? just pray that ur card gets declined or that u have nothing less that #100 in ur account. But if it comes to that i'm sure that if u love ur life, u would adhere to their request cos u sure dont want to be killed all because of poxy #100 .
