Hello Men in the house ,(and women too )

what exactly is the secret to keeping your husband faithful and committed to you ?

if you follow all the rules by the book , will it work out well ?

you are a good cook, and his meals are always hot and ready
you respect your man
you take good care of the home,
share in his passions and dreams and hobbies,
encourage him in all his pursuits
be available always
you both communicate your feelings as much as is possible
make your home a heaven for him to always come back to as much as you can
etc etc etc

can you be assured that you will not get a rude shock along the line ?

I just want to know

is there more that can be done to make a man happy ?

cheers. smiley

I think women deceive themselve so much with this god things being the only reason that can guarantee a good home without working on themselves. If really you do all those things you listed without compromising, most men including myself will always come back to their wife at home and when he's about going astray, his conscience draws him back that he is making a big mistake which automatically tells him to self correct himself.
I am not against equal right in the home between men and women but either part you choose has its consequence. In the west, marriage and family value is dead because both parties feel they are equal so nobody should be in charge. But every man have some level of conscience and I believe will always try his best to satisfy and be good to a woman that is really submissive to him. So its not the god factor as you all preach here but your behaviour towards the man.
Re: Is Being A "good" Wife Enough To Keep A Man ? by mutter(f): 9:57pm On Nov 11, 2010
There is no guarantee. You just do your best and hope and hope for the best. When the sacrifice, love and tolerance is only from one side, it may not be enough.
Some men are mean and without conscience. The more you give, the more the abuse you and scorn you. All pleas only disgust them.
They will go on to do what they want to do.
How many years will you wait for a man to change and come back to his senses?
What about a man that has no sense?

There is a man out there that want to keep you, take care of you , make you happy, see you progress without any condition attached, I pray you find him. Then you will value this post. When you meet such a man, you wouldn't want to let him go.

@Poster. Above all that you have narrated. PRAYER works. and keep urself beautiful always.

I can't even deny the truth in your post. Absolutely true! I am speaking from experience and I wouldn't trade him for any other. And trust me, you don't even have to do so much when you got the right man. Love my Angel! kiss

Im tired of topics on keeping men. Wetin?!
For the last time you cannot mop or cook your way into a man's heart. No matter how great you are at keeping house, you have no control over his loins.

not every man has a conscience and not all men listen to their conscience even if they have one.

being a stepford wife is no guarantee of anything, though it doesnt mean women should go haywire.

the only weapon anyone has is prayer.

It ought to but, it's not always the case.
A man that wants to stray at all costs cannot be kept.

The ones that struggles to keep a man are the ones who struggled to get him
Be yourself. And don't stress yourself to please anyone

It is a start. You also need God.

I noticed you missed out the sexual nature of the relationship. Taking good care of yourself helps esp when it becomes a competition with the sweet sixteens. You also have to challenge your man without unsurping his 'authority'. You do not have to give in to his every requests but make him feel like a man and one that is extremely lucky to have you.

Just like being a good husband is not enough to keep a woman.

You would hear tales like "You are too good for me"

Just do your part and leave the rest
Re: Is Being A "good" Wife Enough To Keep A Man ? by dplordx(m): 11:47pm On Nov 12, 2010
You can try, and hope he sincerely tries too.
We are very complex human being in a super-complex world. Its hard enough to keep oneanother.
Just know who you are. Know your faults and weaknesses. Identify his too and learn to manage both.
If he doesnt take you then, send me a private email. I might wink

Gbam. Y struggle to keep a man? The man himself no get sense? Can't he struggle to keep u too. Rather than kill urself trying to please men, like I said earlier, na only God be d solution. Even if u have to pray urself to unconsciousness, just keep praying. I prefer prayer making me sick, if it does, than a man. Hmmmmmm

And it goes both ways, anything outside that is story! Just do your bit as a partner and leave the rest. Many women have died b4 their time, trying to keep, watch, monitor and satisfy their men . . .and when they finally die,LIFE goes on for the men.
