Firstly, I'm not from the North, just that I could see and believe (just like presidency, military chiefs and national assembly) in what many of you can't really see. Killings are immediate solution, how well has it worked so far? Can you answer that question?
But, now I see that you're jealous in some way because you see this as some kind of competition or rivalry.
Amnesty is not such a bad idea if killings doesn't help. Why was Amnesty introduced in the Niger Delta? Because killings the militants didn't help, rather it led to more economic loss. It is just that many of you have this weird opinion that Amnesty means free money for the repentant criminals because the first time many of you knew about it, it was introduced with free money for the repentant militants.
Amnesty doesn't mean free money, it means just pardon.
northern leaders were already talking about giving amnesty to Boko Haram as far back as 2012. some even said an attack on Boko Haram is an attack on the north.

we are not surprise they are talking about amnesty now and creating a ministry for Boko Haram.
this is has been the goal from the beginning. that is why they are sabotaging the fight against Boko Haram

You are so dumb not to realise that no terrorist can exist on the US soil

If they did, the US would crush them with no option.

America wants to save money. It is not their land.

If the govt of Iraq was strong enough, they would have been the ones to finish off the Taliban.
Nah, you can't use your brain.
Oh, I actually thought Iraq, and Afghanistan are US lands grin

You and your Ipob goons kept boasting that you love Trump because he will destroy
terrorists everywhere but here he is negotiating with a mass murderer Islamic terrorist group.

Even when he assassinated the Iranian general we are told how badass Trump is and how all
terrorists fear him and how he will destroy Iran and how your god is with him.
You guys didn't remember that time that Iraq is not America's land, neither did you clarify that
Soulemaini isn't really a terrorist.

Now that your thin god has done the unthinkable, you are now segmenting Islamic terrorists into local and
foreign when even a kid with a brain knows that there are no Islamic terrorists base on US soil.

It is a simple question.
Which terrorist will America not negotiate with?

What a humiliating week for Ipob members.

When are you going to open a thread to praise the Taliban and tell us 10 reasons why
they are not a terrorist group?

The Republican Party lost its fucking mind when Obama released 5 decrepit Taliban guys to get US Army soldier Bowe Bergdahl back home. Now Trump cuts a deal to release 5000 Taliban prisoners.
Like Trump said, the USA is 8000 miles away, it's not his problem, it shouldn't be America's problem, Afghanistan, her neighbor's and the UN should solve Afghanistan, Trump didn't start it but he's ending it, to the chagrin of most war hawks on the left like Hilary Clinton.

Na your papa no get sense if that is how you talk to a man. Wasn't the Afghan war started by USA toppling a sharia-loving incumbent Taliban government and trying to install its pro western puppet into the government? you dumb_ass morafucker... The war was about finding Osama that was why the government was toppled, due its inability to comply.

Never equate talibans to bokoharam, you can equate Boko Haram to isis.

The Talibans have been the ones in charge of govt ever since before the USA toppled their govt trying to force democracy down their throats and install a puppet. It was all about the oil game. The talibans are a legitimate people fighting for a just cause.

Once again bokoharam = isis, while Talibans = ND militants

They are fighting in another country while Boko Haram is trying to enforce Islam. Someone with a clear and open mind would not even compare the both.

And BTW: Nigeria government watered Boko Haram, not you guys in the north
We can't give amnesty to a group that is out to enforce Sharia law, we just can't it's impossible. The Niger delta militants fought because of how bad things were then in the Niger Delta areas, they were angry at the ill-treatment they suffered. Boko Haram wants an Islamic state and we can't allow that in a secular nation. Even if America negotiated with Taliban we cannot and will not negotiate with killers. If Taliban attacked the US it would have been another story.

Stop looking down on yourself and your race, inferiority complex is killing you. FG and Boko Haram have been killing each other and the civilians since 2009, is there any hope that we're going to wipe out Boko Haram anytime soon even if we are going to wipe them out at all? Now, ISWAP is another uglier and more violent that has joined the madness. At this point in time, FG need more than killing alone. We have to look at approaches that will have long-term effects in the region and that's re-education that will encourage more people to speak against extremism and discourage more youth from being brainwashed into joining terrorists. But I don't blame you, not everyone has ability to see beyond what is physically present in his front or the capacity to process developments [/quote this long write up makes no meaning to me can u make a simple point?

If Nigeria tried such things, we would have seen our Nigeria educated-illiterate shouting America don't do this, America don't do that. This won't be the first nor the last time the US will be having such deals, only a fool will believe in US media propaganda.

Hindsight is always 20/20

The truth is, from past experience, countries fighting insurgency like the US did in foreign lands either fight a total war of genocidal destruction, or end up negotiating and withdrawing

1.US went to Vietnam...in 1956...and in 1973...withdrew with a peace deal that in essence handed the country to the enemies they were fighting.

2.UK fought a war with Kenyan revolutioaries from 1953-60..they 'won',...and then granted Kenya independence by 1962...which meant the fighting was in vain...

3.France successfully beat the FLN in 1958...and then granted independence in 1962..and handed over...to the same FLN.

4.Russia fought in the same Afghanistan from 1979-89...and then left their weak puppet government to be beaten by the same Muhajjiden they were fighting (the Taliban were part of that Muhajjideen then).

5.The UK fought two wasted wars in that same Afghanistan in the 19th century. and ended up leaving the Afghnas alone.

So, IMHO...the US had no business in Afghanistan. At the end of the day, Afghanistan is not called 'the graveyard of empries' for nothing. They should have learned from the Russians and the UK, and their own past mistakes in Vietnam.

(And no, I don't back or excuse the Taliban, or Al Qaeda.)
stop talking of olden days war without rules. We have UN now. Since when did u see US involved in genocide war. Things has changed my guy. US does not use weapons to threaten you instead they use sanctions. The movies u watched is different from real war. So don't analyze a war as if nah bread and butter.

Lol. I remember the last and final onslaught against the guerrillas in Sri Lanka not too long ago. It was a total annihilation.

It was a tragedy. The number of innocent people killed in that annihilation can only be imagined, as the Sri Lankan government had a blanket ban on all foreign journalists and independent organizations for the period. It was a travsety, because the Tamils had only been fighting against long term oppression of their people; a common factor in the commencement of most insurgencies... whether the oppression be real or imagined.

Losing 2400 soldiers in 18 years = 134 soldiers (approx) per year = 11 soldiers per month. That is still a very good statistics military wise fighting on enemy soil, and enemy territory. And considering that the Taliban has suffered heavier casualties on their side, probably over a hundred thousand but trust the western governments to downplay the figures. How many Nigerian soldiers has bokoharam killed in Nigeria (their own country and territory) in the past one year? Going by all the news on the media etc, it is definitely more that 2400, being slaughtered back to back in their own backyard. Yet you are worried about the US military losses, no please, worry about Nigerian troops and may God help them and save them from the incompetent government directing their affairs.

ehn....ehn.....losing 11 soldiers every month (for 2 decades) to terrorist is a gud deal for America and d families of American soldiers .......and end up still negotiating and handling over d country back to d terrorist
what dey suppose don do 14 years ago ...maybe thousand of ppl will not be orphan..or havi handicap as fada
