Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedure? by dsaynt: 1:41pm On Aug 28, 2014 |
beginningathome: Actually it doesnt take that long to get the birth cert. Usually an official would come to the hospital and give you the neccessary documents to fill and if u pay for expedited you'd get it in like 8 working days and if not you'd get it in like 15 working days. Passport works the same way, pay for expedited and you'd get it within 2 working days to 8 working days. Next in Naija visa. This would take approximately 2 weeks using an agent. If you are in Atlanta or New York it would be faster. With expediting everything, within 4 weeks after birth you can be back in Naija |

brooklyn20: Good day house, our visa interview was not successful . Sorry about the denial maam. Can you reapply alone? how far gone are you? . Mirror mirror on the wall, hhmmmm i am trying to read the VO's mind,It seems the VO used her discretion to deny you or she wasnt comfortable with the earnings declared, coupled with the fact that you in particular havent travelled out before. At the end its all favor jare. 1 Like |

@brooklyn20. True. Can you apply alone with your hubby as the sponsor. I guessed the VO just felt both of you travelling for childbirth and tourism and staying in a hotel........ she didn't think you guys are up to it. They just read through us and interpret |

folusho2001: Pls, I'm also interested in oakbend hospital. Will follow you up cos I'll be traveling after you. Kindly share your findings. Thanks This is exactly why i'm against people dropping contact details of Drs or hospitals here, many members here are now using it indirectly to advertise for some Drs/hospitals. People get commission and discounts for recommending certain hospital or Dr. |

It's so sad to see ones plan and effort go down the drain. Hubby was very sad and kept quiet all through our way back. Checking our docs she would have seen it that we are more than capable of going and paying all our bills comfortably. But she didn't collect a single paper from us. Really don't want to get a second denial |

@brooklyn20. It could be painful. You can still reapply. It's what they think first before they ask for documents. So its important to be composed and confident, any slip will give a wrong impression. I have seen a situation in 2013 when three of us went for the visa, they granted 2 of us but the third person was rejected. Reason: He looked ruffled when asked questions |
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedure? by T4Tough(f): 5:49pm On Aug 28, 2014 |
@brooklyn 20 and others what about me that applied alone would you guys also suggest i apply with My spouse and probably Book for a hotel that might give me a better chance? I believe for her not to request for any document she has already made up her mind from the onset cos My monthly income is substancial and i had a bank statement of 3x of My budget. I guess its one of those things not every one would ve a success story the First time out. |

Really don't want to get a second denial Brooklyn there are many cases where the VO won't check documents and just deny. They have your DS 160 and most decisions are made in few seconds of glancing through that document. NIV visas are hardly granted on the weight of documents taken to the embassy, the interview itself is more important than documents. 2 Likes |
