I hate discussing Nigeria with nigerians who have zero sense or knowledge about nigeria.

At ur age, u do not even know what NPA is and their duties in nigeria.
Bigotry is killing you.
If you think you know Nigeria more than one random person you don't even know anything about, you are living in stone age.
You have near to nothing fact to substantiate your wild claims, so I am not surprised at your attack on the messenger

Exactly how?!

Onne has TWO federal ports and is designated an oil and gas FREE TRADE zone...
While Calabar and Port Harcourt is CONCESSIONED to private operators - just like Apapa and Tin Can.
>

Have u been to any of these ports u listed? Or u just keep making noise online?

Most of Onne seaport has been converted to a Nigerian naval base.

Calamari seaport is comatose, Havent been dredged for over a decade, A direct plan by the FG to make sure eastern ports do not work.

For ur information, All eastern ports have been delivering cargoes down here for ages until wen the awusa-afonjas started sabotaging it.

We bought our cars in Porthacourt up until 2004 that OBJ shut down commercial activities on d port and forced all cargoes in nigeria to dock on lagos. All businessmen in Enugu, Aba, Calabar, Rivers, Onitsha easily cleared their goods in eastern ports, We never cleared goods in lagos and then put them in trucks to transport them down to the east and thus spending more billions yearly to transport those goods by road, instead of receiving it thru d ocean in our back yards

That is how the ownership of Lekki port and the free trade zone looks like.
You better go and tell your governors to sit tight instead of hating on Lagos

PRIVATE importers, not governments, determine where imports go.

Private importers in Calabar will avoid calabar ports, dock their goods in lagos ports and then pay over 600,000 naira (per 40 feet container) to transport his goods by road to calabar grin grin

Hope on delivery of the much-expected Lekki Deep Sea Port looks brighter as the construction of the $1.6 billion project reaches about 50 per cent completion.

The company said it has completed its 1,909m long core of the main breakwater while work on the quay wall and landside infrastructure has reached an advanced stage. The significant milestone of the completion of the core of the main breakwater was achieved on Thursday, April 29, 2021.

The Managing Director, Lekki Port LFTZ Enterprise Limited, Du Ruogang, disclosed this while briefing the Permanent Secretary, the Federal Ministry of Transportation, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, and other key stakeholders.

Ruogang assured that the construction would be completed as scheduled with a targeted commercial operation expected in the last quarter of 2022. He affirmed that the container terminal operator – Lekki Freeport Terminal, a subsidiary of CGM/CMA, is ready to commence operations once the construction is completed.

“We would like to appreciate the Federal Ministry of Transportation, Lagos State Government and the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) as well as other stakeholders for the immense support towards the actualisation of the world-class seaport”, he said.

Ajani stated that it was heart-warming to note that the project was moving at a fast pace, assuring all the promoters and stakeholders that the Federal Government would play its part to ensure the smooth take-off of the port as scheduled.

Ajani noted that the progress of work since the initial visit of the ministry in November 2020, is impressive and that the Federal Government through the Federal Ministry of Transportation would work out modalities of rail connectivity to the port for easy evacuation and transfer of cargo to the different parts of the country.

She also promised to liaise with her counterpart at the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing on the issue of the road network at the corridor to prevent the issue of congestion.

Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, NPA, Hadiza Bala Usman, said that NPA will play its part to ensure that the timeline set for the delivery is achieved, adding that efforts are being made to facilitate the deployment of all necessary infrastructure needed before commercial operations begin.

“To meet the timeline for the Port, we would deploy the control tower as well as the BTS and GDMS which are critical infrastructure needed for the take-off of the port operations. In addition, we have to begin the construction of the administrative block”, Usman said.

The Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer, NSC, Hassan Bello reaffirmed the significance of Lekki Port to the economic prosperity of Nigeria noting that when completed, the port would be transformational for the country, and indeed the West African maritime landscape.

Director-General, NIMASA, Bashir Jamoh reiterated the importance of railway connectivity to the project.

This is a project that had remained moribund since Fashola/ Yardua tenure because Lagos was in opposition but the man you hate Buhari is the one who made this project a reality.

God will not spare you or anyone with a heart such as yours or any heart filled with hatred. All these words will count against you some day. You will toil so hard for a project and they will still call you a disaster.

Not even Lucifer has this kind of hatred I see most of you display online yet you pretend to be godly people offline. Ha!! We from Lagos will forever remain grateful to President Muhammadu Buhari for this gesture. Such project of this magnitude was killed by a Yoruba President , Olusegun Obasanjo, during Asiwaju Tinubu tenure. Go and read about Enron Power Project. May God bless President Buhari. This is not cheap irrelevant talk.
Except you are new on this app. They have always done that even when enlightened that it is the project of Lagos state.
FYI, Lagos contributes to the financing of the project and even owns part of it in a ownership deal with the investors. The land etc was provided by Lagos state.
Lagos state should never be concerned about your ignorance on its role. It doesn't have the role of establishing ports in SS.
Go away with your hypocrisy
I'm sure you understand the meaning of hypocrite? I've made my comment it's either you agree or disagree, I found no where I'm being hypocritical if not that your sense of judgment has taken over you!
Lagos state contributed to the finance of the project "yes" agreed, lagos state gave the land "yes" agreed, lagos state owns part of the ownership doesn't mean lagos owns the port entirely to itself OK? If it were so then federal government and the Nigeria ports authorities won't be involved in the first place! So my dear get that into your "lovely skull"
Finally, I wasn't advocating that lagos state should be concerned about any project in the south east why should they anyway? I'm directing all enquiries to the federal government so get that again into the small lovely skull of yours,
Meanwhile, I'm a lagosian so it has nothing to do with what you think.
