Our Next President Should Be A Rascal? by KnowAll(m): 1:36pm On Nov 14, 2011
Rascal in this connotation means strong willed, determined, forthright, and decisive people. They would not pander to threat, undue pressure or bullying of any kind. They are their own man, they know what they want, how they want it, and how to achieve it, basically they are doer rather than an indolent, indecisive scarecrow.

These Rascals are not inept, contrived or lameducky in both their ways, mannerism and posturing. They would happily answer any questions without a prepared note than using numerous aides as a buffer hiding under the cloak of their inadequacies during any  question and answer session neither would they require a forwarding post note of any likely question in advance.(did someone say Mr Jonathan wanted to see the questions asked b4 the Presidential debate? lipsrsealed)

Not all of them are endowed with the same intellect but those that lack the gift of mental intuition make up by been brazenly brave and braggadocios which kind of compensates their inabilities and their inadequacies.

Past Rascals In Power or RIP Includes the following individuals

1. Ojukwu – How can anyone forget that charming young Colonel that felt a less than desirable trumped up Colonel in the name of Jack Yakubu Gowon would  lord over him despite having a mental intellect little better than a Standard 6 kid. That struggle for power by these 2 former colleagues led to the Civil War, when the former C-in-C cannot be found, located or his fate determined by the new Junta led by Gowon. Ojukwu resisted any attempt to make peace with the new power mongrels after they were two shy and ashamed to admit that they have just killed a man in cold blood. His resistance led to the civil war. He, Ojukwu is no pushover he was a man of his words he plunged into a disproportionate civil war when he knew the balance of power then was not at his favour. He is a true lion of Judah; if he were a younger man I would urge Nigerians to vote for him, he was a true Rascal In Power.

2. Muritala Mohammed- A very brave Nigerian Soldier and and a good infantry officer to the core, he led Nigeria for only 6 or 7 months and in those 7 months many senior Civil Servants were locked out of their various offices for turning up late for work. Mr Head of State despite his many busy schedules found the time to turn up at the Federal Secretariat at Ikoyi given out instructions to the officers on ground to lock the gate on all late comers. He created 7 more states within his short time in office, he was a determined Soldier, a determined person that pushes his agenda without fear and favour. He was forthright and a sincere man. He banished all Directors and Governors from using Mercedes Benz car as official cars insisting that they should  make use of our moribund car industry in Nigeria at the time buy Volkswagen in Lagos or Peugeot in Kaduna. That action sustained the viability of those car companies for some years to come.  He sent Nigerian Troops covertly to Angola in support of President Santos of Angola during the civil war with Savimbi, as a honour a thoroughfare in Luanda is now named after him. What he did in 7 months some of our leaders who spent 8 years in the rostrum could not boast or surmount what he achieved despite his short stay and spell in power,  he was a real Rascal In Power.

3. Kaduna Nzeogwu – Ideological Young officer inspired by the revolution taken place in Cuba and other South American countries. Well read and knew albeit that the man who held the gun held the power. He knew of the Igbo numerical strength within the length and breath of the Armed forces especially within the officer corps. He shared his fear, adventurism, his desire, with like minded officers; he despised what the civilians were doing with the commonwealth of the nation. The killings, lynching, and gross mismanagement having only witness the transfer of power from the British to Nigerian Authorities barely 5 years earlier, something was definitely amiss. He had being to England years before and knew if his homestead and nation was going to forge ahead the morons ruling the country in the mid 1960’s had to be stopped. He went ahead with his plan, several people were killed both in the North and the SW but only few or negligible numbers faced the same fate in the SE. There was uproar which led to a panic and an eventual failure of the coup making the most Senior Officer at time who happened to be an Igbo Officer to salvage what was left of the Coup. The seed of discontent had already being sown as the Northerners were grieving the untimely death of their revered leaders. Kaduna Nzeogwu was definitely a real Rascal In Power.

4. OBJ – Some of Muritala’s Bravadoccio robbed off on OBJ, he honoured his words twice as he promised. Promise to hand over to Civilian when he was barely there for 3 years, he must have learnt from Gowon in 1975 and he probably did not want to experience Muritala’s fate either. He says it as it comes to his mind. He instilled an indelible mark on many young Nigerian that did not know him the first time around. He paid Nigerians debt despite the country having an epileptic electricity supplies, the roads were nothing to write home and industries nationwide was all moribund, the auto industries had packed up before his second coming but he felt, paying of our debt was more dignifying and right than embarking on some of those new projects that could have put him in a better stead. He knew Nigerian officers were corrupt, and I believe he possibly could not trust the sectaries just outside his office let alone Ministers and other officers that came from every nook and cranny of the country. He was decisive, determined, stood by what he believed whether right or wrong that made him qualify as a true Rascal In Power.

5. Sanni Abacha – Even though he was despised by a large majority of learned Nigerians from all zones, he remained Nigerians first and only absolute dictator. He had the power of life and death at his finger tips, he was feared in the land, his deputy was picked up for planning a coup against him and that deputy cried like a baby during the hearing. The deputy knew you just don’t cross this dastardly man of dogs. His fear within the polity was the beginning of wisdom. Was he a Rascal In Power, that I would say is the understatement of the year. He was an alfa male the head honcho, and a doer, some of his summarily decrees was the dollar trading at 80 to 1 which was the trend for 8 years during Abacha’s time. And the other was building all those Federal Medical Centres in the state Capitals and many roads were dualised during his time.

6. Buhari / Idiagbon – The best tag team leader in the world. Even in America I have never seen a team like this probably Bush-Chiney. But this 2 duo had already started instilling confidence in our country. The World Bank and IMF wanted us to devalue our currency they resisted it, they said there was no reason for that. Buahari remains the only Nigerian leader without a house in Abuja. He has passion for the Talakawas, I urge him to throw his hat in the ring 2015 so that he can finish what he and Idiagbon started. I think Bakare the man he chose the last time around would fit into Indiagbon’s big shoes with ease.

@Poster, we just had an election only six or so months ago, and you showed us all how spineless a man you really are. Now here you are, after your spineless decision was implemented, already taking the cowards approach, the "e go all better", already proposing what should happen 4 years from today? Seriously, do you ever quit? We have the next 4 years to deal with what you helped allow.

How many more of these senseless threads are you going to create next? Why not recycle the many you already have, all never addressing the current or the next 4 years, but looking past them all. Haba!!! You shouldn't be commenting at all on this since you are one of those who lead us here, only six months ago, to begin with.  embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed

1. Rochas – He is his own man, no Godfather, no complicated alliance, he is just who he is. He would be able make firm decision without looking back goring anyone’s oar along the way. He is having a good run in Imo State and so far his word is his bound, I think he is an up and coming Rascal In Power.

2. Bukola Saraki – Made his father retire from politics prematurely. Although the old man is still insisting that he his still the  true power broker in that state, the fact on the ground proves otherwise, it  is there for all to see who is weilding the big stick now, there  has been a paradigm and tectonic shift from the older to the Younger Saraki albeit protestingly from Father and daughter. The good thing about him is,  he is his own man,  no Godfather to twist and turn him and to crown his triumphuism in his state he got a cushy Senatorial Job to the bargain giving him the best of both worlds I would say.

3. SLS-CBN Governor -  How could anyone forget this prince from Kano whose heart when closed is like the heart of Pharaoh? He is one dimensional; he once called for the death penalty for looters and obviously that would include many Northern Governor whom many are also big time fiddlers despite their outward holier than thou posturing. Just don’t mention Islamic Banking, I think the Government has resulted into a containment strategy by not mentioning it, that way the problem of Islamic Banking would go away  till the current President would take his exit. Whether SLS is happy about this strategy it remains to be seen, perhaps someone should open that Pandora’s Box by asking his view about it once more so as to irritate Jonathan making him jolt from his slumber lipsrsealed.

He is also passionate about the ills of the society. Would he be everybody’s cup of tea, I would say Capital NO to that but he remains a veritable Rascals In Power if given a chance. He would definitely shake the foundations of our society like he did our banks making me lose close to a 1¼ of a million Naira in the process. This is definitely another Rascal that we should be look out for.

4. Bakare – Haba this man is a passionate man, he loves this country, the ills in the society make his heart bleed for the masses. It appears there has being a societal hypnosis or our people. People cannot see what Bakare can see, if he ever becomes President, a lot of people would relocate out of the country, he is definitely a Rascal I want in power, because he is the last bastion of the common man. “It takes idiots to be ruled by fools” is his most recent quote and what a quote it is.

5. Buhari- Need I say more about this Gentleman. Nigeria’s premier anti-corruption crusader. If we have Buhari we would not be talking of the removal subsidy, anyways he has already said subsidy never existed before now. Is he a Rascal, Yes he does qualify as a Rascal, he doesn’t need long wielded and unending consultations before making decisions on any matter he knows precisely what the ills of our society is and he would go in like an experience surgeon and rectify the wrongs of the society.

6. Field Marshall Aregbesola – Is a people’s person, a real Grass rooter, he is the King of his State, and all Opposition are dead on arrival. The only state that gave Ribadu electoral victory. Rumours abound that slaps people at random, well that makes his rascality authentic but I doubt those rumours anyway. He would go places when he gets the calling. But for now I know he is staying put in Osun but he is definitely a true Rascal In Power. With the stroke of the pen he created 10,000 jobs in his OYESS policy that is Dearing and commendable we hope to see more of him in the centre when the time comes.

7. Tinubu- Or the GodFather – He believe he is God, he has learned his trade in the gangsta City of Chicago and he has had a few burst with the law in the US and come out of it unscathed I believe if he was the head man in Nigeria, he would neither have fear but favour those who love him. He would be decisive, forthright, and straight to the point. One can expect no hanky-panky with this fellow. And if you cross his part there could be only two places for you, exile or six feet under

8. Ngige- I would have called him a Rascal but how did he got himself entangled with that mayhem when he was the Governor of Anambra State. I hope he has learned his lesson, in this business called Politics Godfathers should be kept at arms length. He is in a good party and his brazen victory during last Senatorial elections was commendable. The jury is still out on his Rascality thus. undecided

9 Another Rascal how could I forget Atiku -

What was I think off, Atiku Abubakar, the mention of that name makes some people in Aso Rock miss a heart beat even OBJ trembles at this man's tentacle. His hands and claws seems to be at every piece of dirt land North of the Niger and Benue Rivers. The only man that makes Boko Haram tremble with fear and fall weak on their knees. The Americans in d American Uni in Yola are at peace than those in their bunker embassy in Abuja. What does that tell anyone of this tiger Politician. He is currently d the last man standing in d North and d last Generalissimo of d Northern Brigade just like Aregbesola is d Field Marshall of Oshun State. He is one Rascal anyone who wants that coveted crown should overcome. How do you overcome such a collosul human who more or less took on an incumbent and gave him a run for his money. He is d new crusader in d North and a Rascal in the waiting ready to grasp power at d slightest dulling by any of d other candidates.

I have to admit I didn't know - I wasn't following his own particular threads. . . .I was too busy attacking the GEJ supporter in chief aka Beaf.

So from supporting Bakare/Buhari he went to supporting GEJ and now back to supporting his Rascals. . . . call it repentance. grin

I couldn't have supported any of the candidates since I don't reside in Nigeria. I supported all Candidates equally obviously some more than the other. But vote wise, I did not vote, so Mr or is it Mrs or even Miss Kobojunkie shut your trap, I am a Nigerian and I have an opinion on who should lead us since politics is in my blood and something I crave for.
Re: Our Next President Should Be A Rascal? by Kobojunkie: 12:57pm On Nov 15, 2011
Dude, there were witnesses!!! I am not in Nigeria but I campaigned, so quit with the excuses already and own what you are.  Having an opinion is not same as FLIP-FLOPPING for no rational reason, especially days to an election. Worse, you turned to spew venom against the side you quit simply because, as you claimed, you suddenly saw new light and that you believed Goodluck had the numbers behind him. ROFLMAO!!! grin grin grin grin grin
