It would be shocking for many to learn that in 2010, the European Union spent a whooping €57 billion on agricultural development programme. Of this amount, €39 billion was spent on direct subsidies. A total of 40% of EU’s budget goes to Agricultural and fisheries subsidies. Who is fooling who? The World Bank and IMF are fooling Africans. If advanced democracies do not subsidize fuel, they would subsidize agriculture, housing, transport, or health

to all these guys protest means going enmasse to destroy government property . Lol.
Let us see your borrowed cars blocking 3rd mainland bridge so you understand what bull dozers (and the water undeaneath)are for.
Olodos , instead of trying to profere solution you are planing to make people see what police did to yusufiya(boko leader). We dont have anti riot police in nigeria. We have one way of solving insane senseless protests - Lead in the body, body on the earth.
The press will never hear about you.
Do you know how many almajiris that NPF wasted during april elections?
Do you know how many boko-suspicious guys JTF has wasted?
See, if you are waking up now, we woke in 1967.
We took up arms, died in millions for it.
Then we learnt something we would not have learnt anyother way.
Something you would learn when you open a facebook fuel subsidy page with your name.
And comment on twitter pages with your ids open.
Go for headless anti progress protests , we are eating carrot and laughing.

Nigerians are not cowards, we are simply waiting for a very strong reason to take to the street. Believe me revolution is looming in this country although hiking the fuel price may not cause it.

If Nigerians were to take to the streets,it would have been during the Abacha regime.the last time we had one was after the annulment of Abiola's election and i doubt if removal of subsidy is enough to instigate any revolution.suffering and smiling is a normal thing in Naija.

A Revolutrion will happen in Nigeria sooner or later. It is bound to happen with the way things are going. The best time for a Revolution in Nigeria is now. We have a weak President at the moment. Let us act on this opportunity. Thanks.

A revolution, in Nigeria? I don't think those clamouring for it have any idea what they talking about.

Try it here and some mad men will take over power and send us back to the very bottom of all development indexes.

As for the subsidy removal, Nigerians should learn from Ghana. Former President John Kufuor government removed fuel subsidy amid heavy protest from the opposition and the general populace. However, candidate Atta Mills promised to reinstate it if ellect president. Well, President Atta Mills has since chosen to forget that election pledge. Meanwhile, Ghana has since channeled much needed fund acruing from the removal of subsidy into infrastructural development.
Folks let's tread carefully about this issue or we'll end up being the losers ones again.

Nigerians, let's wake up and fight against this, we are too too passive and silent, and silence they say means consent.

Just don't forget that Tunisians never believed they would have revolution, something triggered them into it, seeing a fellow citizen like them burn himself out triggered them to sending off that man right from that sit,  Egyptians never believed they would have revolution, something triggered them too. It was really brilliant hearing the plans of how the revolution in Egypt happened. They tried gathering as much crowd as they could, they knew not everybody in the country would have the confidence to face it. The first gathering, about 4,000 or 40,000 people was all the turnover they could get and they were able to make a peaceful rally, but the next turn over impressed them. Would anyone stand up and believe Almighty Gadaffi would die off the way He did, That he would ever stop being the president of Libya, so don't think Nigerians can't stand for revolution. Anything can happen, the only opinion you know is yourself, so don't tell me that out of population of 164 million citizen, not about 10% would have the revolution at mind. In having revolution take place, not everybody would be involved, but know within yourself that you have a right and one that should be defended and protected. Nigerians are not cowards, they are just Gentle and when they are been pushed too far, they could react

Well, if corruption is the issue then let fight it; from students cheating at school to lecturers asking for money and sex in exchange for good grades, to the policemen extorting money from road users and from fake men of God reaping off gullible Nigerians to our thieving elites.
The least we can do is to give deregulation a try and if they live up to their corrupt reputation, then we go to the trenches.
We are at a crossroad, it either we move forward or remain a backward, corrupt and divided country, the choices are very clear.

It is said that any successful revolution must start with a revolution of the mind!

It is important to understand the degree and magnitude of corruption, graft and pilferage going on in this country.
How anyone can see these and just shrug their shoulders indifferently is just beyond me!

Please read this article and educate your mind about the Oil industry in Nigeria and the oil subsidy problem. Read it and let the revolution begin in your mind.
