You know wen u re relaxed, your labor progresses very fast and u don't feel any pain during vaginal examination Wich ws verrry painful for me b4 dey administered d epidural.

Word of caution: If you want to use epidural in naija, you need to be absolutely sure of the expertise of the specialist. Also, it is an anesthesiologist that should administer it, not your ob/gyn. I don't av a first hand information of how it is done in naija.

Also, it has nothing to do with preventing tears. I had a 1st degree tear while my friend had a 4th degree tear! Tears are as a result of the pushing proces

The whole procedure is to manage pains attached with labour, like d other mama said, its given at the early stage of labour and monitored. You certainly won't fell any cramp but they will check you regularly and even know when contractions are coming and direct when to push. I don't think tear part follow o, jst that so much attention and care will be given as per plenty money sha.

Please take your wife away from a clueless Dr an try to head to a General Hospital near you.
That fleshy stuff could mean many things from a prolapsed cervix to prolapsed cord.

Welcome december daddy by His grace. Alot of water will do and veggies. She may not be comfy with ordinary water so cold water will do. But seldom urinates? She should be urinating more in preggy. That may mean she is not well hydrated. Pls incrrase her fluid intake may be ribena, lucozade, freshly made fruit juice like water melon. But let her avoid unripe pawpaw and pineapple. May it be easy for her.

Pls lef her go straight to the hospital and pls take her to a govt hospital like general or specialist or federal medical center depending on the one available in ur location. She needs to be examined immediately.
