nice story line...but I still encourage young women that prostitution is never an option no matter how sweet the story line might be.... Patricia's case is just 1 out of 1000. |

CyberG: Funny that people did not even read the story in less than 5 minutes! Almost everyone associated with Nigeria is growing dumber and mentally lazier, what is hard in reading just a few paragraphs of prose? The poster clearly indicated "Umari Ayim" as the writer, yet people are complaining about the poster!? I hope you can see there is talent from every part of Nigeria! It's amazing how literature has declined amongst this generation. Some people cant even pen down a sentence without grammatical errors. It's most appalling. The prose was a good read. 1 Like |

This is an awesome story and so beautifully written. It ended in the exact way I was afraid it would though; with the God-Sent-help. In as this is possible, leading oneself into sex slavery is not a good option at all. In most cases, the end result is the exact opposite of what happened in this beautifully written story. @Nairalanders complaining about the length of the story, it's really not so long. It's captivating and meant to be enjoyed. Kudos to the writer. |

pweetymama: my bros i wonder o.that's why white men tag us as lazy pple dat cannot read.bt cm to tink of it "why r nigerians so lazy wen it comes to books?".an indian man i used to work for always sent same proposal nd changed jst d figures to same company for 10yrs nd wen i asked him why he said nigerians dnt read nd they just look at figures nd endorse.seriously, that's pathetic I read the whole thing. . . .and I guess why most people won't read beyond the first two lines is that the story is very predictable and utterly over-used. Nice try by the author though. Imagery, conversations and scenerios were conveyed quite brilliantly. |

now i see that a lot of nairalanders are a group of uneducated bunch. That story is a short story and it is well known that short stories are generally work of fiction. U guys should step up your game because you are far behind. £lar¡ |

Why all the complaints? a simple & captivating writeup & people are about to lay eggs over the issue ( no wonder candidates failed woefully in the last Waec & Neco exams ) Nobody forced you to read the story. Thumbs up to the writer, it was very interesting & I hope the sequel will be as good as this one. We really need to work on our reading skills & stop being so lazy |

A big 'ugh' at this mills and boom/pretty woman rehash. And what on earth is this glamourization of runs or aristo lifestyle? This is a BIG societal problem, and instead of us responsible adults to be pointing the way out we are polishing it with silly fiction bubble tales like this. STD rates on that campus are alarming, and no one is even thinking of all the future consequences of the lifestyle our young women are leading. Many of them are trapped in it because of their financial issues, but instead of creating positive solutions and alternatives for them we do what? I just have to sign off here - this makes me want to throw up. Arrant nonsense! |
