I think there would be sell-outs too because Bernanke did not help matters yesterday at all. As soon as he ended his speech yesterday the NASDAQ and S and P 500 started a big sell-out. Olympus in Japan also announced that they would be laying-off 2700 staffs by 2014 and I think this would shrink the S and P 500. Coupled with the fact that the German Trade Data came out far below expectation. Sentiments has a role to play in the US indices today.
But it looks like red in US Indices until another counter-information comes out.

Yeah,you cant be too sure,even though Benarke is an inflation fighting economics yet he cares abt the market,of course he will have to apporpriate medium to address d market

Market is down but the market does not want to be down but there are forces keeping d market down

For example we need to look at us 10 year note,its up,that mean investors are buy us debt

I expect all news today to support down side of US stocks.....

ayox2003: I forgot to add that before u place ur bet, know what the next tick should look like. Speculations for the German index for today falls within the range of 6,079.35 - 6,105.18. At the moment, as I'm writing this, its at 6,082. So its advisable to wait till it rises up a little before you trade.

With all this sell out,,and low index,,I believe every1 will be buyin the gold,,so I think the gold will go higher by the end of the day,,my little input from a learner,,the gurus can correct me if am wrong

Ofcourse. He wants the market to de-leverage itself. Printing money to save the economy is not the best way out. Europeans want to shift their responsibility to the US. EU should take care of themselves first.

Well, I can boldly say that sentiments would affect today's market. Some investors might be looking to invest in the US today since ALL markets are down. Plus, some few days ago, Europe and Asia went down but US was the only one not affect. Although its LIKELY it fall short, anyway.

yea, but for 0 days. It'll go down at end of session to create funds for america session which might rally in the first few hours and definitely go dip at close.

I entered DAX at 6,113 and now it's on 6,088.14

If it rallies above 6,110 again i guess it'll be a good point on entry.
