Or is it because he is not from lagos state? What about uni of ife that was changed to OAU? Did the people of osun or ile-ife complain? But no be lie sha, the new name looks funny; e resemble MALU. If University of Lagos(Unilag) could be renamed Moshood Abiola University, the i'd suggest that the following school should be renamed:
River State University of Science and Technology = Asari Dokubo University of Science and Technology
University of Abuja(Unibuja) = Umar Yar'adua University
University of Maiduguri = Mohammad Yussuf (Boko Haram) University
Lagos State University = Dagrin University
etc
