Having benefitted from this forum in the past when my Rav4 had issues, I want your advice on this recent development.
My Accord 2008 has 5 lights on the dashboard ; Check Engine, ABS, VSA, Brake and Airbag. I've tried to scan it 3x with 3 different scanners but the technicians come back to tell me that the car is not communicating with the scanner on scanning asides the check engine which is caused by the oxygen sensor. The vehicle runs fine, the braking hasn't changed, but the airbag light on the dash does not light up and the seat belt alarm doesn't go on while driving with belts off. Any ideas please?

You ought to have reset the oil after the oil change which you didn't and as such your car is assuming you haven't changed oil. If you're expecting it to rest itself after the oil change then am sorry to burst your bubble.

Oil is available online, konga but please don't buy milemaster. If you contact me I can arrange mobil1 5w20 or 5w30.

What is wrong with Milemaster 5w 20? Just bought a service pack for my first service this weekend

Happy sunday guys, na me again o. i was driving last night when my accord 2007 (DC) stopped reponding when i press the gas pedal. i pulled over, turned off the car, removed and fix back battery head. started the car, no rev whatsoever at Park position. Car idles high at startup and when i change the gear to D, it drives but without acceleration. checked the throttle cable and its intact and triggering but no rev. What could be the cause? i am still a novice mechanically. Appreciate your response.
Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by TUDEXautoCARE(m): 11:46am On Jun 07, 2015
@ Flyingman, the vehicle does not! Does it mean the vehicle does not rev beyond 3000rpm or does not respond to acceleration at all because some model of this hondas are know for VTEC safe mode which takes effect when ever the engine oil level is low or dirty and at time when the VTEC Solonoid component where the filter the that through which the oil is supplied nto the rocker arm is embedde, and when clogged uo with dirt, enough oil will not be able to pas through thereby preventing the engine from revving beyond 3000rpm.
If no acceleration at all getba scan tool and have the vehicle scanned.

Thanks for the response. on start up, car idles at around 2000rpm. you press the gas pedal, no response. the rpm does not go up or move at all. Change gear to D, car moves and drive without power from the pedal. would run a scan. thanks

Throttle cable or electronic throttle body? Meanwhile there's no communication between the pedal and the throttle butterfly "electronic or cable" that's why there's no response. Now a scan should reveal the culprit, even though I have a small idea of what could be wrong. Give me a call 08023251039

Thanks Gazzuzz, the codes brought out throttle actuator system malfunction. A good electrician was able to fix it after scanning.

I just bought this Honda Accord 2002, my first car though. I discovered the dash board is showing check engine, although the car drives well and no issue while moving. Am just worrying could this sign mean something serious.

Thanks.

Thanks bro!

..but of course, I know a Mobil station is the place to go.

The problem is that I have not seen any Mobil filling station since I got to Enugu!

That was why I asked for help in the first place. So, if you know one or two Mobil stations in Enugu you can direct me to, that's all I need.

Hello great people,

When it rains , or when I go to the carwash, my car (Honda Accord, Babyboy) fills with water. Have practically checked everywhere no leakage discover. The car has open roof could it be the culprit... I never make use of the open roof for once. Is always closed. It kinda frustrating cos of the odd smells oozing outta the soak rug.

Open the sunroof, there are water channels that are blocked use a small stick and unblock them.

The Gurus in the house i greet. I noticed the central lock of my Accord 2006 model is malfunctioning. The lock chooses when to respond to the remote, even when i try with the key itself. Sometimes it locks me out and refuses to open, then after sometime it opens. Today i noticed only the drivers side opens with the remote. I have to open the rest doors from the inside. An electrician worked on the catcher yesterday yet the problem persists. Please what do i do? I need info so that i don't fall victim to these 'trial and error' technicians. Thanks in advance

A small white plastic that controls your central lock attached to your driver side door is the obvious culprit.
