Africa's biggest grocery retailer, Shoprite, is exiting the continent's most populated country, Nigeria, after 15 years.

The Cape Town-based retailer has started a formal process to consider the potential sale of all or a majority stake in its supermarkets in Nigeria, it said in a trading statement for the 52 weeks to end June released on Monday.
South African retailers have struggled in the Nigeria market and most recently Mr. Price has exited the market after Woolworths did the same six years ago.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has seized the passport of chief executive officer of Air Peace, Allen Onyema over alleged bank fraud and money laundering in the United States.

According to The Nation's report, Onyema’s passports will be in custody of the anti-graft commission as investigations continue and his movements, temporarily restricted.

US authority in November said Onyema moved more than $20 million from Nigeria through US bank accounts in a scheme involving false documents based on the purchase of aeroplanes.

Onyema was indicted alongside Ejiroghene Eghagha, the airline’s chief of administration and finance, who is said to have committed aggravated identity theft in connection with the scheme.

A US court had reportedly issued a warrant to arrest Onyema and authorized US marshals service to bring him into custody.

A story went viral on the media a few days ago whereby a Pastor has been accused of something. Now we have two people in question here: we have Busola Dakolo and Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, the founder of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA). COZA is a big church and its growing leaps and bound over the past couple years.

Busola Dakolo, popular photography and wife of Gospel Singer Timi Dakolo during a chilling interview with Ynaija with Chude Jideonwo, accused Pastor Biodun Fatonoyinbo of sexually abusing her as a young virgin girl.

It is important to note that these allegations were coming after her husband Timi Dakolo in 2018 and at the end of May 2019 dropped a cryptic post on his Instagram, referencing to a “man of God” who has been using his position to abuse women sexually. Unfortunately, the Murtala administration did not live to finish what it began due to an unsuccessful, but blood-soaked coup in1976 that led to his death. The successive government added their quota during their administration, but the dream became a reality in 1991 by the military administration of General Ibrahim Babangida.

UEFA champions league is back and this time around its the quarter-final. We shall give an insight into the four matches which involve the eight teams we consider to be the best in Europe presently. Liverpool Fc vs Fc Porto
Liverpool Fc started their campaign well this season after finishing as runner-up in the competition last season. The English team finished second in their group with 9 points and went on to face Bayern Munich and won on a 3-1 aggregate.

Liverpool will be facing Fc Porto on Tuesday night. Liverpool has never lost an European game against Fc Porto in six previous encounters (W3 D3 L0). The English team has progressed from four of their last five quarter-final matches in the champions league.

Fc Porto qualifies for the quarter-finals after trashing AS Roma 3-1 and winning 4-3 on aggregate. Fc Porto was eliminated from the competition last season by Liverpool at the round of 16 losing 5-0 on aggregate and we hope it will be a different ball game this time around.

Tottenham vs Manchester City
This is a very intense clash between this two English teams. It’s a clash between a London team and a Manchester team. This encounter is set to kick-off at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium, unlike their previous matches that were played at the Wembley stadium. Tottenham progress to this stage after trashing Dortmund on 4-0 aggregate.

Manchester City have won 11 of their last 16 matches against spurs (D1 L4) with all these coming from the premier league and have the last three in a row.

AJAX vs JUVENTUS
This is another big encounter in the champions league quarter-final fixture. This match is said to be the biggest because of the two teams involved.

Ajax came back after losing the first leg of the round of 32 to Real Madrid 1-2. The Dutch team proves their class at the Spanish capital after beating the title holder 1-4 progressing 3-5 on aggregate. Ajax is facing Juventus since September 2004 in group stages falling to a goal from Pavel Nedved.

Juventus came into this fixture after an intense come-back against a Spanish side Athletico Madrid. Juve lost their first leg at Spain 2-0 and went into a fixture that seems impossible but then they trash Athletico Madrid 3-0 all thanks to a hat trick from Cristiano Ronaldo. Juventus are unbeaten in their last nine European encounters with the Dutch team (W5 D4). They have reached their third successive European champions quarter-final, their best such run since doing so in four successive seasons between 1996-1999.

Manchester United vs Fc Barcelona
This is a fixture so many football lovers look forward to as they want to know if Manchester United can still achieve the impossible dream. The first leg of this encounter will be played at Old Trafford
