Will £600 be ok for a month since the nanny is going to live with me?

You’ll need to pay her the National minimum wage (currently between £4.20 and £7.83 per hour, depending on her age). Minimum wage will be increasing in 2019 as part of the new tax year - https://www.gov.uk/national-minimum-wage-rates

You can offset her accommodation - but to a maximum of £7 per day.

So if, for example, you hired a 20 year old nanny who is contracted to work 7am to 7pm, her daily pay will be £70.80 (for this year, remember minimum wage increases next April). Then, when you deduct the £7 for her accommodation, by law you’ll have to pay her £63.80 per day.

Depending on her age you’ll also need to pay into a pension plan. Be aware that you are also liable to pay the tax and National Insurance – plus the employer's NI – for the hours you employ your nanny, regardless of her age.

So £600 a month unfortunately doesn’t come close to what you’ll need to pay her per month. I’d suggest you look at local childminder services or an au pair instead.

SCAM. UKVI will not make such a request for a visitor visa. Many been refused for not submitting sufficient documents. Why will yours be an exception? If UKVI want to make any clarification from a visitor visa applicant, you will call for an interview.

He’s a time waster. He’s asked the exact same question with the exact same words in the UK, German, French and USA threads.

London Heathrow. From there take the underground train to Victoria Station. Change train for Oxford at Victoria Station.

Nope, not Victoria. Oxford trains leave from either Paddington or Marylebone.

@obaxlove take the Heathrow Express to Paddington then join an Oxford train. Here are costings:

@Davr,

You can apply anytime you have the cash for the application. But you must address some things. You have to explain to the ECO the details of the burial which you talked about, not only in words but in evidence. I suppose the funeral was in the UK. You would have to provide details like the death certificate and list out your role during the funeral. Do not focus on providing a generic overview of the activities at the funeral. You must list your day to day activities as an individual and why your presence was needed in the UK all that time. People sometimes overstay when it's practically inevitable, e.g. on medical grounds when it's not medically advisable to travel. All you need is provide compelling reason and evidence. You have to provide details of how you were fed and taken care of all through the overstaying period.

That's definitely the right approach, but even with all of this it's highly unlikely she'll be issued a visa. Visits can be extended for compassionate purposes, but this needed to be applied for while she was in still in the UK. As this wasn't done, UKVI are going to treat her as an overstayer.

Like I said I knew when it was debated in the House of Commons as I did not follow through I do apologise for the miss information but careful with your language mate "spouting missleading information " that's beneath you even. Please keep this thread sane and with respect everyone deserves. Don't know about the rest but from visiting to Tier 4 to Tier 1 and tier2 visas done it all.

I'll use whatever language I want to. You were going around matter of factly giving misinformation, including using phrases like "know for a fact" (when it turned out you didn't). Then you still argued the case when you were told otherwise.

Advisory:

Like I said a lot of people will disagree but I know for a fact that the UK does not monitor exit and this was brought up in the House of Parliament for debate sometimes ago. If home office monitors through airline then they should knock at your registered address when you have overstayed which they don't. As you know the uk takes data protection seriously and the airlines are not obligated to pass information to home office and that's the reason you have immigration desk at arrivals. They know you have overstayed when they stop you at random, they check with your employer , they carry out an immigration raid or you commit a crime.

Mate, stop spouting misleading information! People rely on information here and when you matter of factly spread misinformation their applications get rejected and they end up out of pocket!

Exit checks are very much in place! The information comes from the airlines systems and you're flagged as having exited the moment your boarding pass is scanned as you board the plane.

Instead of telling us what you "know for a fact" (because you don't), why don't you do a bit of research? Like this document from the Home Office:

Can you point out specifically where it says one should not submit utility bills and council tax documents under visiting visa application?

It's an interpretation - and I'm not attacking you Justwise.

Section 1 of the document covers all documents you must attach to all applications.
Section 2 covers extra documents that you can use to support a visit visa.
Section 3 covers specific documents for specific visa types.
Section 4 (where this is) is actually separate from Transit Visa (which is the last section of Section 3) and covers the documents that you should not send. There isn't any language in Section 4 to suggest the section excludes the Standard visitor visa.

Utility and council tax bills are specifically mentioned in section 4.

If you now try to put in an application - even for business - it will automatically be denied. You'll just be wasting your money.

Hello peeps I traveled to uk last month and at the point of exit no immigration officer to check or stamp me out I was wondering if that's how they do I only have entry stamp no exit I ask the cabin crew and she went to ask the pilot and the pilot told her no exit stamps my question is how will dey know I exit the uk tho on exiting I place my pasport at a gate before it allow me pass to board so I guess maybe exit is electronic guys pls explain more

The UK doesn't stamp on exit. They still know exactly when you've left because your airline scans the MRP part of your passport as you check in for your flight home. They then compare this against your boarding pass which is scanned as you board the plane. Airlines automatically send this passport and boarding pass scan data to UKVI, proving your exit.

BTW, just thinking about this and your previous question: You obviously thought you could outsmart them by submitting fake documents as part of your visa application. Do you seriously think you can outsmart them now and effectively attempt to enter the UK illegally? You're playing with fire my friend - they take this VERY seriously - and if you're not immediately deported and returned to France at the POE, you'll find yourself locked up in an immigration detention center before being sent back to Naija. I doubt this because, i know that (though, it may take some time, but) they usually send bills to the person who received medical services and demand full payment of the entire costs except of course you were covered by insurance.
Before knowing what to answer to that question, i advice you to contact the address that you declared and see whether there was/is any correspondence from the hospital debt recovery body: You would have a lot of explaining to do if you left the UK while the debt was pending.

NHS A&E treatment is free for tourists. Charges are only applied if referred for inpatient treatment.

The first time that dad applied he wrote 3. When he renewed his visa last year December, he wrote 4. He just added my other sister’s name, and he was issued the visa. And according to the first letter of refusal, they said that was no proper explanation of why my mum wrote 3 and my dad 4. Probably they weren’t convinced enough. Then he supported it with some documents and traveling history. Luckily enough when he decided to add my sister’s name when he renewed his, he was given 10 years – and he’s never travelled with any of his children. I’m so confused sef!

Travel / Re: How Can I Make This Winter Vacation To UK With A Tight Budget Of 400k by geek(m): 11:21am On Aug 30, 2014
worry359: When you go for visa they will look at your finance and see that you want to spend all your funds on a short visit.
This makes you look a big risk of overstaying.
AUTOMATIC REJECTION!
Best save your limited funds for something else.

He's already written that he doesn't need a visa.

nairalanduser: We (2 people) intend going on vacation this winter from the last week of December and hope to stay for about 12 days with a budget of 400k.
The 400k is to cover for ticket to and fro for 2, 1 room accommodation in East London and some feeding .
I need advice from people who have gone on holiday on a winter and in London to advice if this is achievable.

Can I get a very cheap hotel with breakfast provision for less than 20 pounds in East London? with breakfast included. it's easier to find a way around feeding throughout the day as I intend cooking in my aunt's place most times.(no intention of sleeping over at her place). I have checked online and I'm seeing very expensive prices. My thought was that since its winter, it should go down. If possible the hotel shouldn't be too far from Dalston market (but if it is, I won't mind too much if only the hotel price will be less than 20pounds per night. )

Which dependable airline can we get at like 120k naira per person for a round trip? Have been seeing usual mid year prices for airlines like BA, Emirates et Co. Isn't winter supposed to be cheaper? Someone adviced on Air jordanian but I checked people's review and it wasn't wonderful. I wouldn't want to get lost in air!

We also have an intention of visiting Edinburgh for like 2-3 days.

If we can get a ticket of like 120k, that means 240k for 2 of us. then with a hotel of say 20pounds, then a total of 12 days is 240pounds (about 70,000 naira). So far is a total of N310,000. With the remaining 90k (about 315pounds), we can use for transport to Edinburgh and other miscellaneous.

is this achievable? If not, what cost options saving advice can we achieve in any of the major hurdles mentioned above?

You don't say how old you are but if you're under 30 you can stay at a youth hostel. There are none in the Dalston Market area but there are some in Greenwich. Costs vary depending on if you're willing to sleep in a dormitory (as cheap as £9 each) or private rooms (from £12). Take a look at http://www.hostelworld.com

As for Edinburgh, look into pre-booking on one of the coaches (http://www.nationalexpress.com). Cost will be in the region of £25 each way but look at several dates as the new year period is a peak time in Scotland because of the Hogmanay celebrations (www.edinburghshogmanay.org) and costs are higher.

Again you can look at an Edinburgh youth hostel to stay, but the recommendation is to book your travel and accommodation ASAP because it gets more expensive the later you leave it.

Can't help you with airlines but good luck!

It's not as easy as that oga. You provided false evidence in your failed application that you had previously travelled to Poland, Hungary, and some other Eastern European countries.

Presumably you also listed them on your visa application form when answering the question "have you travelled outside your country of residence, excluding to the uK, in the last 10 years"

So that's two separate documents they know about.

They have full access to your previous failed application. Don't you think they're going to realise if you presented evidence of previously going to one set of countries, only to not disclose them in your fresh application? You got away with it this time but it will get picked up in your fresh application.

zabrinma: Please house is it becaue we are from third word and our passport is not valued cause I know and believe 60 % of whites that travel are not up to what we have achieved

No, it's because people like you who deceive in the attempt to get a visa, selfishly make things worse and so much harder for genuine applicants!

Shut your dirty mouth. Engine failure during a commercial flight IS NOT a normal thing in civilized countries where machines undergo ROUTINE MAINTENANCE and machines ARE RETIRED after so many years in service AND SOLD TO investors who take them to RETARDED COUNTRIES like NIGERIA where engine failure now becomes a normal thing.

Perhaps you should try to do some research before making such bold claims:

This is the key bit which shows you unfortunately have no chance. Basically what the guidance says is that the ban is not negotiable UNLESS there is evidence that the organisation made a mistake and this can be validated.

This wasn't so in your case. As an applicant you are always responsible for the authenticity of your documents even if an agent has been used.

You'll have to wait until the 10 year ban has been served before reapplying otherwise you'd be as good as throwing your money in the fire.

You asked this same question almost a whole year ago and it had been answered - https://www.nairaland.com/823869/uk-visa-visa-appeal-process-part2/4#12130908

Your application was denied under paragraph 320(7A)- this is the section of the guidance that deals with deception. You have therefore been banned for 10 years.

If you try to make a new application before your 10 year ban has been served, the BHC will accept your application and your application fees, and they will immediately decline your application under paragraph 320(7b)which is the guidance attached to poor immigration history, or previous attempts at deception.

The guidance is very clear in this respect - 10 years automatic refusal if you practised deception (which includes using false documentation) in support of a previous visa application.
