Killingmesoftly: You’ll need to pay her the National minimum wage (currently between £4.20 and £7.83 per hour, depending on her age). Minimum wage will be increasing in 2019 as part of the new tax year - https://www.gov.uk/national-minimum-wage-rates You can offset her accommodation - but to a maximum of £7 per day. So if, for example, you hired a 20 year old nanny who is contracted to work 7am to 7pm, her daily pay will be £70.80 (for this year, remember minimum wage increases next April). Then, when you deduct the £7 for her accommodation, by law you’ll have to pay her £63.80 per day. Depending on her age you’ll also need to pay into a pension plan. Be aware that you are also liable to pay the tax and National Insurance – plus the employer's NI – for the hours you employ your nanny, regardless of her age. So £600 a month unfortunately doesn’t come close to what you’ll need to pay her per month. I’d suggest you look at local childminder services or an au pair instead. 9 Likes |

Brightingsus: That's definitely the right approach, but even with all of this it's highly unlikely she'll be issued a visa. Visits can be extended for compassionate purposes, but this needed to be applied for while she was in still in the UK. As this wasn't done, UKVI are going to treat her as an overstayer. https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/606315/FLR-_HRO_-guidance-notes-04-17.pdf |

Advisory: I'll use whatever language I want to. You were going around matter of factly giving misinformation, including using phrases like "know for a fact" (when it turned out you didn't). Then you still argued the case when you were told otherwise. 1 Like |

Advisory: Mate, stop spouting misleading information! People rely on information here and when you matter of factly spread misinformation their applications get rejected and they end up out of pocket! Exit checks are very much in place! The information comes from the airlines systems and you're flagged as having exited the moment your boarding pass is scanned as you board the plane. Instead of telling us what you "know for a fact" (because you don't), why don't you do a bit of research? justwise: It's an interpretation - and I'm not attacking you Justwise. Section 1 of the document covers all documents you must attach to all applications. Section 2 covers extra documents that you can use to support a visit visa. Section 3 covers specific documents for specific visa types. Section 4 (where this is) is actually separate from Transit Visa (which is the last section of Section 3) and covers the documents that you should not send. There isn't any language in Section 4 to suggest the section excludes the Standard visitor visa. Utility and council tax bills are specifically mentioned in section 4. |

Onile1979: 320(7B) means that you've been banned for breaching the UK’s Immigration Rules through the use of deception. If you now try to put in an application - even for business - it will automatically be denied. You'll just be wasting your money. |
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by geek(m): 5:01am On Aug 12, 2016 |
castiello: The UK doesn't stamp on exit. They still know exactly when you've left because your airline scans the MRP part of your passport as you check in for your flight home. They then compare this against your boarding pass which is scanned as you board the plane. Airlines automatically send this passport and boarding pass scan data to UKVI, proving your exit. |

prince1930: If you marry a citizen and can prove that it's a genuine and sustainable marriage. Occasionally right to family life too if you have children with a partner that is legally living in the UK. prince1930: The UK isn't part of the Schengen zone so documents are checked at every entry point that exists - if driving it will be the Eurotunnel or the ferry ports. There's no avoiding this. prince1930: Of course it is. BTW, just thinking about this and your previous question: You obviously thought you could outsmart them by submitting fake documents as part of your visa application. Do you seriously think you can outsmart them now and effectively attempt to enter the UK illegally? You're playing with fire my friend - they take this VERY seriously - and if you're not immediately deported and returned to France at the POE, you'll find yourself locked up in an immigration detention center before being sent back to Naija. Don't try it! |

nikiihardehx: Jesus wept! I haven't been to Nairaland in a while - is this how people write these days?!? Here's a handy translation for those of you left scratching your heads: The first time that dad applied he wrote 3. When he renewed his visa last year December, he wrote 4. He just added my other sister’s name, and he was issued the visa. And according to the first letter of refusal, they said that was no proper explanation of why my mum wrote 3 and my dad 4. Probably they weren’t convinced enough. Then he supported it with some documents and traveling history. Luckily enough when he decided to add my sister’s name when he renewed his, he was given 10 years – and he’s never travelled with any of his children. I’m so confused sef! 1 Like |
Travel / Re: How Can I Make This Winter Vacation To UK With A Tight Budget Of 400k by geek(m): 11:21am On Aug 30, 2014 |
worry359: When you go for visa they will look at your finance and see that you want to spend all your funds on a short visit. He's already written that he doesn't need a visa. nairalanduser: We (2 people) intend going on vacation this winter from the last week of December and hope to stay for about 12 days with a budget of 400k. You don't say how old you are but if you're under 30 you can stay at a youth hostel. There are none in the Dalston Market area but there are some in Greenwich. Costs vary depending on if you're willing to sleep in a dormitory (as cheap as £9 each) or private rooms (from £12). Take a look at http://www.hostelworld.com As for Edinburgh, look into pre-booking on one of the coaches (http://www.nationalexpress.com). Cost will be in the region of £25 each way but look at several dates as the new year period is a peak time in Scotland because of the Hogmanay celebrations (www.edinburghshogmanay.org) and costs are higher. Again you can look at an Edinburgh youth hostel to stay, but the recommendation is to book your travel and accommodation ASAP because it gets more expensive the later you leave it. Can't help you with airlines but good luck! 1 Like |

zabrinma: It's not as easy as that oga. You provided false evidence in your failed application that you had previously travelled to Poland, Hungary, and some other Eastern European countries. Presumably you also listed them on your visa application form when answering the question "have you travelled outside your country of residence, excluding to the uK, in the last 10 years" So that's two separate documents they know about. They have full access to your previous failed application. Don't you think they're going to realise if you presented evidence of previously going to one set of countries, only to not disclose them in your fresh application? You got away with it this time but it will get picked up in your fresh application. zabrinma: Please house is it becaue we are from third word and our passport is not valued cause I know and believe 60 % of whites that travel are not up to what we have achieved No, it's because people like you who deceive in the attempt to get a visa, selfishly make things worse and so much harder for genuine applicants! 3 Likes |

He's not editing or hiding other people's posts so I don't see how he's preventing others from 'expressing their mind'. All I see Vic doing is providing FACT rather than the subjectives or 'pray to God for a visa' that others use. I agree at times he does this in a very direct (borderline rude manner) but hey I'd much rather get his advice than guidance filtered down based on heresay. Vic provides advice that's relevant, considered and doesn't see me wasting my time or money. |

Princek12: Perhaps you should try to do some research before making such bold claims: British Airways - http://avherald.com/h?article=45c24847 American Airlines - http://avherald.com/h?article=468952bb&opt=0 Lufthansa - http://avherald.com/h?article=468d4c78&opt=0 Emirates - http://avherald.com/h?article=458dbb78/0000&opt=0 KLM - http://avherald.com/h?article=4686d5f0&opt=0 Delta - http://avherald.com/h?article=46736e7d&opt=0 All of these are from massive airlines in 'civilized countries' as you put it, where they do 'routine maintenance' and 'machines are retired'. Travel / Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by geek(m): 7:53am On Sep 05, 2013 |
olushy: Where the documents related directly to the applicant (for example, employment references, qualifications or financial details), such a claim would be likely to fail unless the applicant has clear evidence that an error has been made (for example, written confirmation from an employer, financial institution or educational establishment that they had supplied the UKBA with incorrect information at the time they verified the original This is the key bit which shows you unfortunately have no chance. Basically what the guidance says is that the ban is not negotiable UNLESS there is evidence that the organisation made a mistake and this can be validated. This wasn't so in your case. As an applicant you are always responsible for the authenticity of your documents even if an agent has been used. You'll have to wait until the 10 year ban has been served before reapplying otherwise you'd be as good as throwing your money in the fire. |

olushy: pls,I was refuse a 2years renewal visa to the uk , because of a false document (LSIRS TAX LETTER) which I was not aware to be a false document, So my travel consultants made an admin review to british deputy high commission lagos on the 15 of june 2012 and the PD entry clearance manager correspondence unit visa section reply on the 09/08/2012, D decision to refuse ur client application was based on d documents that ur client provided at d time of d application. D documentation that U have provided with ur correspondence was available at d Time that u made ur application .Ur client should have submitted this documentation with his application and he chose not to provide this information to ECO . i am therefore satisfied that ECO's decision is correct and in accordance with D immigration rules. The refusal notice carried with it advice about ur client's statutory right of appeal against d decisIon to an independent adjudicator in d UK . There s no record of ur client exercising his right of appeal. If ur client has not done so d 28 day time limit has passed and this matter must be regarded as close. Ur client s Free to submit a fresh application at any time at any of the visa application centres if I decides to reapply. An attempt should be made to address d concerns outlined In d refusal notice. U should be aware that ur application was refused under paragraph 320(7A).any further application may be refuse under paragraph 320(7B) You asked this same question almost a whole year ago and it had been answered - https://www.nairaland.com/823869/uk-visa-visa-appeal-process-part2/4#12130908 Your application was denied under paragraph 320(7A)- this is the section of the guidance that deals with deception. You have therefore been banned for 10 years. If you try to make a new application before your 10 year ban has been served, the BHC will accept your application and your application fees, and they will immediately decline your application under paragraph 320(7b)which is the guidance attached to poor immigration history, or previous attempts at deception. The guidance is very clear in this respect - 10 years automatic refusal if you practised deception (which includes using false documentation) in support of a previous visa application. |
