You can support professionally run private clubs

Unlike in the past when the 20 clubs in the Nigeria Professional Football League are government owned, there are now privately owned clubs that are professionally managed. We have The Mountain of Fire Football Club, Ifeanyi Ubah FC, and Remo stars. You can support these clubs because they churn out EPL like football week in, week out.

Say what??

Just stop it.

Pity who?

The senseless animals in Kaki that brutalised a physically challenged folk for putting on a camouflage?

The ill mannered he goats that assaulted a young lady for talking to her friend in a commercial bus?

The cursed fool that shot Mr Izu of Shooting Stars dead?

The 17th century idiots that tell people to swim in gutter for cutting their hairs Mohawk style?

The uncivilised baboons that strip nàked ladies for sagging their jeans or putting on a bum short?

You mean the power drunk bastards that brutalise motorists for overtaking their patrol vans on highways?

Why should I pity someone guilty of the things I mentioned above?

No way, I lost human feelings for NA the day I witnessed just one out the crimes they commit on daily basis.

You do realize that there are over two hundred thousand soldiers in the Nigerian military? Where have you ever seen a community in which every single member behaves perfectly well? Of course there are a few miscreants in the army but that is not reason to tarnish the image of the entire Nigerian army.

It is extremely unfair.

Don't mind the brainless lout. The disgust I have for all of these animals called soldiers increases exponentially by the day.

Believe it or not, and as incompetent we know that they are, we generally owe our relative 'safety' more to the conventional Police Force than to these foolish braggarts called soldiers. The military is virtually useless unless a country is at war or faces constant threats of war, and if not for the relatively new Boko Haram phenomenon (restricted mainly to parts of the North East), the military would have very little to do other than constitute a nuisance around defenceless civilians as they usually do.

I'll readily appreciate it more if a mobile policeman is bragging that he is the reason why I can sleep with my two eyes closed, because in a sense, he is. The presence of the police in our cities reduces crime at least, and we are thankful for that, in spite of the obvious rot in the force.

But as for these military buffoons, they are too annoying to talk about.

Will you shut it?!

What mobile police? Do you know that constitutionally, it is the job of the mobile police to contain internal insurgencies? Obviously they are not capable and the noble soldiers have been dispatched to do the job. These are the same mobile police that extort you on the roads and are so rigger happy they are nicknamed kill and go.

Without the military combating boko haram those foul beasts would be all over every nook and cranny of Nigeria by now, and no place would be safe. Is it not still the same soldiers that are called in to apprehend kidnappers, quell riots, and even man check points?

Why are you an ingrate?

While you are correct to an extent you have to understand the Nigerian constitution is there for a reason. The SS is the Agency stipulated by the constitution to perform that role and there's a reason and purpose.
Nigeria as at now is a democracy and that rule is there, I believe to prevent militarization of our democracy which would result in dictatorship.

GOD BLESS THE NIGERIAN ARMY.

The core function of the DSS is intelligence gathering for internal security, while the core function of the military is defense of the nation against military threat. Both of these institutions are very capable of performing the task of close protection. With the right training, even the police can do it.

However the DSS due to its nature is better positioned. They are more exclusive and therefore much harder to penetrate by double agents. They also are more adept at intelligence planning and gathering so if there is a threat they will be better equipped to nip it in the bud. Lastly the military in Nigeria has never been trustworthy and the DSS remain the best positioned force to counter any internal military threat to the president and his office.

..I will only attend to your numbers 4 and 5 points...
..First of all you claimed that a vehicle in MOTION almost hit you,and in that vehicle a couple was fighting and the woman was dragging the steering..if the car did not stop(beacuse you never said so) then how were you able to ascertain what actually happened and who the couple were to each-other??..If by asking questions you mean asking fellow bystanders like you who are armed with nothing but speculations themselves, then i can only lol!...

...To your number 6 statements yes they do but the aggressors are usually brought to justice especially in Europe and America..There are cases i know(Nigerians) where just a threat to call 911 by the wife when she and her husband quarrels results in the husband begging ,,how much more beating...Her husband knows better than use the 'she insults me blabla' to justify beating her which is an anthem for the average Nigerian male in Nigeria..i rest my case for now.

"attend" to whatever you want. I am only responding to you for the benefit of those who are reading the comments.

First of all, i clearly never said that the couple were married for a fact. I referred to them as a couple because when a man and a women are together we refer to them as a couple. Secondly i inferred that it was likely that she was his wife, as i explained, the woman could have jumped out or called for help but she did not do so. That means she wanted to stay in the car. For the purpose of this discussion, this fact suffices to show that she was not compelled to remain in the car which is the only relevant piece of info we need. Now that it is established that she wanted to remain in the car, can you give any good reason why she should be dragging the steering wheel with the man? Shockingly in your previous post you stated the man, who was driving, is the one who should not hag contested for control of the steering wheel. undecided .

Secondly, if you know that other races do beat their females then it turns out that you had no reason to claim, as you did, that africans are any more "wild, unruly" "animalistic and whatever else, in behavior, since this claim was squarely predicated on the apparent belief that africans beat their women but other races do not.

Now you are talking about women using the threat of phones calls to the police to manipulate their husbands but to you this does not seem inequitable and unjust? It does not sound at all like a form of bullying to you? Or let me guess, it is acceptable practice because it is done by your friends in the west?

..You guys should stop supporting animalistic behaviour please!!..You are here asking what transpired, but do you ask such questions if it was a woman who hit a man??

..The example you gave is even funny cos YOU DID NOT KNOW WHAT TRANSPIRED BETWEEN THOSE COUPLE either but you have made your own conclusions that the woman was at fault!!..if a woman is dragging the steering and you are not a kidnapper, wont stopping and shoving her out of your car the logical thing to do??..why keep dragging the steering with her if the guy is not a criminal??..i just dont get it.

...Like seriuosly the blackman is perceived to be very unruly, wild, illogical and uncivilsed by other races..lets quit proving them right and act like humans that we are..Thats why insulting someone is NOT A CRIMINAL OFFENCE but beating that person is!!!!...That is the law!.

undecided A fantastic series of illogical statements.

1. Who is "you guys"? Are you making the assumption that agreement on one or two points is equivalent to sharing a broader point of view? Why would you logically make such a conclusion?

2. How do you define animalistic behavior?

3. At the first bolded, is there any reason to suggest that i do not ask questions in such instances? Or you have simply rushed to an illogical conclusion due to your proclivity to respond emotionally instead of analytically?

4. Would my refusal, as you suppose it to be, to ask questions in cases where the man is the victim, preclude me from asking questions in cases where a woman is the victim? If yes, then surely the same logic applies to the female activists who jump all over threads such as this one, where a woman has allegedly been beaten, but having nothing to say when a man is the victim. But i have not seen you stop any of them to ask whether they ask questions when a woman is the victim. Is that because you are a hypocrite?

5. The example you gave is even funny cos YOU DID NOT KNOW WHAT TRANSPIRED BETWEEN THOSE COUPLE either but you have made your own conclusions that the woman was at fault

When a car is moving, the person driving it is the one whose hands are occupied. This means that if the other person wishes to make an escape, he or she could easily open the door and jump out of the car. Supposing the car is moving at an extremely high speed, he or she could roll down the window and shout for help. Since the woman in the example i gave was clearly capable of doing these and did neither, then it stands to reason that she had no intention of getting out of the car. And since the man did not drop her, it implies that she has a reason to be in the car. i.e, she's his wife, and shoving her out would be considered "animalistic" behavior.

So your wild assumption of her possibly being kidnapped is random and completely unfounded. I witnessed the incident and i am telling you that this was most likely a man and his wife have a domestic dispute. I never said she was at fault for the dispute, i said she was at fault for dragging the steering wheel with the man! I suppose given that such action is thoughtless and posed a danger to all parties involved, including the innocent bystander, you could consider it illogical and uncharacteristic of rational humans. i.e, "animalistic".

6. Thats why insulting someone is NOT A CRIMINAL OFFENCE but beating that person is!!!!...That is the law!

Your post keeps on amazing me. I challenge you to show the link between what your bolded statement above, and anything i said in my own post. (Given that i never suggested that she insulted him to deserve the beating, which is what you insinuate here).

7. Hilariously, you seem to be of the opinion that people of other races do not commit acts of aggression to women. I have nothing to say about that.

But you can tolerate "foul languages" from your fellow men abi.

The dynamics of relationships just don't work that way. Look at it this way, a insult from your mates is one thing, but an insult from a little child will cut much closer to the heart.

All kinds of people snap when you push them beyond a certain limit. At the core we are all emotional beings and some things people do will definitely get to us. That is why the law recognizes the defense of provocation.

I also find it interesting that the "reporter" conveniently left out what actually transpired. Which could suggest that those details may not show the woman in a favorable light.

I recall once i was walking along the road minding m own business in peace then suddenly a car almost ran me over from behind, because the couple inside were fighting and the woman was dragging the steering wheel with the man. Women do these things over and over again and it gets excused or overlooked.

Let the woman go to court, the judge will get to the bottom of this.
