Computers / Re: 0% Available (pluged In, Charging) by koseepaaro(m): 8:28am On Aug 02, 2018 |
This sign indicates (most of the time) that the battery could no longer charge. But one thing to try before your finally blame the battery - shut down the laptop and remove the battery. Then, wait for about a minute and put the battery back. This time, do no Switch ON the laptop, just plug in the charger and allow the laptop to charge in this state for about 30 minutes. Then, Switch ON the system after 30 minutes of connecting it to power source. Good luck to you. |

OP, before you conclude that you need to replace your laptop screen, I'll advise you to carry out one thing. And the thing I want you to do is that you should get a flat screen monitor to confirm whether all will be okay after you change the screen of your laptop. If you check all the ports on your laptop, you should see VGA port among them. Please, connect any flat screen monitor to that VGA port (on your laptop) and power on the flat screen monitor and then your laptop that's showing white screen. Note: if nothing still shows on that flat screen monitor, just hold down 'Fn' key (close to 'ctrl key' and then press 'F4' key on your laptop keyboard until you see something display on the flat screen monitor that you connected to the laptop. Good luck to you. 152 Likes 9 Shares |

@OP, what you need to do might just be "to call someone nearby that have a bit knowledge of computer maintenance and tell the person to help you remove the RAM, dust off the RAM SLOT and re-connect the RAM". Good luck to you. |

Computers / Strange Download Speed On MTN Network by koseepaaro(m): 5:12pm On Apr 01, 2015 |
Hi all in the house! I noticed something about MTN internet download speed few minutes ago and I never experienced such since I've been using the internet. After a nairalander posted his experience on MTN network (earlier today), saying that he was able to download 6MB of data within 3 seconds. Then, I took my Nokia C5 phone, opened Opera mini browser on it and googled for the latest Mario game which is about 74.99MB. But to my greatest surprise, the game downloaded in less than 3 minutes. Please, won't I still pay for the strange download speed that MTN gave to me indirectly in monetary value in future (unknowningly)? |

OP, please, do not disregard my candid advice. Though, I'm a muslim, but I don't know why God pushed me to type this. Look, seeing is believing, they say. And again, I learnt that when mankind is faced with any challenge (at all) the best thing to do is to find out the root cause of the said challenge. You said both you and your wife has gone to your pastor for prayer but no noticeable change after that. Please, don't forget I told you that I'm a muslim and I'm telling you this from personal experience and eye withness. There is a big difference between praying based on assumption and praying based on what God has revealed to you. There is a man of God that I know (that is not Lagos woli, so to say). If you can take a bold step and phone the woli, and just tell him that you and your family are undergoing some challenges right now that you want him to pray for you. The man's phone numbers are 08162725377 and 08053723603. He would never ask you to bring N5. He might only ask you to pray and fast for certain days after telling you the cause of the nightmare. Anywhere you live in the world, if you want to go to the man, when you get to Awori bus stop beside Abule egba bus stop, Lagos, just ask anybody at Awori bus stop that you are going to Woli Oluwaseyi's church on Arowolo street. That's all! Here is my number 07031012161 in case you follow exactly the advice that I gave you here and you do not come back to nairaland.com to give positive testimony after like two or three weeks that you take this step, call me on the phone (day and night) and swear for me. Otherwise, come here to thank God Almighty. Please, other nairalanders in the OP's shoe can also follow my advice and phone me later to swear for me or thank God Almighty. Please, do not say you have your own pastor or woli. Good luck to you. |

I don`t know. There is one member of this nairaland community that bears "temigracie". It`s been long that I saw posts from this member. Or could she be one strange member (called nobody) that usually appears in almost all sections on nairaland? One very funny thing about this nobody is that you can`t view his/her profile. His/her gender too is not known. Can somebody please help out on this strange nobody that my findings revealed to me that he/she was temigracie before? |

Music/Radio / All National TV And Radio Workers Would Go On Strike Today by koseepaaro(m): 8:24am On Dec 17, 2014 |
Good day everyone in the house! I heard a rumour on one of the national radio stations early this morning that starting from 9:00am today (17/12/2014), all national broadcasting stations, both radio and TV, would be shutting down transmission at 9:am today (nation wide). Because they would be going on strike. I don`t know whether we also have another person in the house that also heard this rumour too? |

OP, I`ve seen laptop screen gone bad this way before. But before your raise alam that your laptop screen has gone bad, try this - click on start button and right-click on computer (or just right-click on computer on the desktop, if you have it on the desktop of your computer) and choose properties. Then, click on Advanced Settings from the top left side of the dialog box that appears and choose Hardware Tab. Now click on Device Manager. Among the list on the left side of the dialog box that appears after clicking on Device Manager, click on the + sign next to Display Adapter. Right-click on any display adapter name that you see there and choose Uninstall. Restart your computer and see whether there will be improvement. Good luck to you. |

Na wa o! If the hard drive is having bad sector, that shouldn`t stop one from recovering saved files from it. But now that the technician said the drive is not accessible again, I`m a kind of speechless at this point. If you really need to retrieve those files you said you have on it that are very important, if you stay in lagos, I would advice you to tell the technician that you will come and change the hard drive after this festive season. Then, let me take a second look at the hard drive for you whether those files can still be retrieved. |
