I also saw the advert, but the date being advertised is 9th August which is far gone.

For them to show the preview which i did not get to see, maybe the show is about to begin and whatever we are going to be watching would be edited so we will not get to see Anthony (R.I.P)

Television viewers across the continent are, once again, set for another exciting moment as Nigeria's premier reality TV show, Gulder Ultimate Search, hit the airwaves on Monday.

Organized by the Nigerian Breweries Plc, the fourth edition of the show had suffered a two-week suspension following the death of one of the contestants, Anthony Mudiaga.
The first episode, aired on Monday, prepared the viewers’ minds for the unexpected in the weeks ahead.

Right from its opening shots, the narrator, ace broadcaster, Femi Sowolu, took viewers on a virtual tour of the scenic view of Shere Hills in Jos, Plateau State where, according to him, "Legend says time is lost…"

"This is Gulder Ultimate Search 4!," the narrator's barritone voice had boomed, signalling the commencement of the new edition of the reality TV show.
For the audiences, the show has begun, but for contestants this is beyond a game and adventure. It's a search for life-changing treasure with the ultimate aim to unlock the proverbial "Golden Age".

As a foretaste of what's to come, episode one begins with a tightly edited montage, showing a recap of highlights of previous editions of Gulder Ultimate Search, the highs and the lows, the celebration and lamentations. Audiences had another opportunity of seeing their heroes of the previous editions again.

The episode also includes footages from the rigorous selection process leading to the selection of the nine contestants who will slug it out on the cold hills of Shere Hills in the succeeding weeks as audiences wait to behold the ultimate man or woman who will covet the top prize.

may tony rest in peace. but this goes to show that there's a problem with the screening processwhy didn't they further confirm the contestants' status as swimmers before throwing them into the river? Angry Angry Angry

I watched it too, i never did see him on the screen, they made sure the tape was edited before showing it to the entire public and u know too Anthony's parents and relatives maybe watching too, so they just had to cut out whichever part in appeared in.

You will also notice that each time the camera starts to show the 10 contestants, the screen would darken, that is to show you that they really want to let him be (R.I.P). He was buried on Sunday in Jos with the other contestants in attendance.
Now if i were to be a relative of Anthony, i would really broke down if i ever saw him smiling on T.V, so i think it is wise thinking on the part of Guilder.

I have lost the zeal in watching the programme, i am not as excited as before because of the death of Anthony.

Is it the same time as the last edition? I mean 10.00pm to 11.00pm. I havent had the opportunity to watch it. anyway i will look out for it. i don't actually think it is the fault of the sponsors (Gulder) that anthony died. Death came knocking and there was nothing anybody could do for him even when they tried rescuing him.

The Quest to make money drove him to his death, well may he rest in peace.

NBL has no moral justification to air Gulder Ultimate Search 4 !!!

@ T-Bag
What do u mean NBL has no moral justification to air Ultimate search 4. is it because anthony died? Well it was inevitable, should they now stop the show forever because one guy that couldnt avoid death got himself killed?

i really will not blame NBL for what happened to Anthomy.Things just happen without anybody knowing why.Only God can explain. For them not to continue, i highly disagree. I think they must hve warned all the contestant before hand, and i believe they really hve invested a lot of money into the programe for them to discard like that.
We all need to pray for the soul of Anthony that is all, and also for the remaining contestants , so that notting bad would to them.
