You seem to have very little knowledge about HIV as the comments in bold reveal so, I think you should go do some little research first.
She sometimes drops her ARV's because of side effect of the drugs not because they aren't working dude, shes not the only HIV positive person in the world; there are millions of them living a very normal life with medications. Yes its possible for her to still have either negative or positive results depending on several factors.

She said so herself and she said that she had gone through phases of having zero symptoms to which she never once tested negative. That's why she cried her eyes out at the VCT for 3 hrs. The evidences are here for all to see and read.

So I don't understand this theory of her testing falsely negative. The odds should mean it would have happened prior at one of the many symptom-free phases she had and that was never the case including the 2 year symptoms-free one. I won't also buy the nonsense talk of expired strips- indeed the very nurses didn't even want the HS to be right.

Speaking about her husband, you can't give me that story because it has too many holes. For I fail to see the reason how a man will court a lady for 8 solid years between which she suffered relapses and used ARVs and Herbs and never once did he notice. Haba. Even when she said she was using an omega-magic bracelet with infrared or what not. She even said she took no medications for 4 good years or so and only managed her diet before going to the HS. I don't know why you and 'her' are now claiming she took herbs before going or that she took it 4 months before and then stayed 2 years symptoms-free. That is a lie. The time she said she took the herbs was between 2005 & 2006 for 4 months and after which she stopped and had a 2-year phase where all went well yet she still tested POSITIVE.

So for her to come back now to alter all the stories just shows the character she has and for you to endorse it even makes you worse considering how much of a liar you once thought she was. Someone who even lied to her husband to be for 8 good years not thinking about his safety or the risks she was putting him through.

I was watching the EPL games- that's what I did almost all day. I don't know if I was responding to you on the other thread where I said I had some distant cousin that suffered the HIV which turned to full-blown AIDS of which he eventually died. His CD4 dropped to 50 at some point so I did my research on them then (My sources gave me this information). If Kenya28s CD4 dropped to 375 it is not because the ARVs were giving her side-effects (which they would). It is because the Virus had depleted her immunity to an infection-prone state. This invariably means that the ARVs haven't been working well, period.

So the medicine ain't working well, and they never really will- there would be up and down moments maybe more down than ups and you know this. There is a greater surety in the word of God. Stop destroying her faith.

As per the possibility of not getting the HIV from a positive partner only one reason stands out- LUCK! which could wane if you have done it consistently with that partner unprotected. If we put 2 and 2 . . . we would still arrive at a miracle especially since you said it was for 8 years.

Okay Jo lets assume you are right for a moment; what do I have to offer this young woman? Nothing!
I have told her here on NL that HIV has no cure so why would she choose to listen to me instead of you? tell me... You had something to offer her, some hope of getting completely cured of HIV through faith.

Because heterosexual transmission of HIV is responsible Couplefor a large percentage of HIV infections, there is an expected risk that an HIV positive person will infect a negative partner if they have unprotected sex. But what continues to baffle many including medical personnel is the increasing incidence of discordance in relationships; that is, a situations where a positive person does not infect a partner despite the odds. This peculiarity looks worrisome especially as researchers are yet to come up with an explanation for this situation, although a couple of indicators have been suggested for this occurrence.

Serodiscordance is a situation where a couple's sero (blood) status is not compatible. This scenario began to emerge as the incidence of a wife testing positive and husband negative was seen by health practitioners in HIV work.

"The discordant rate is increasing. It is as high as 45 per cent in PMTCT clinic," says Professor Isaac Adewole, a gynaecologist at the University College Hospital, Ibadan. In his experience at the Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV (PMTCT) at UCH, professor Adewole recounts that many homes have been broken as a result of this discovery.

"Medicine is meant for happiness and not for breaking homes," he says. "We have experienced several cases of sero-discordance, and we are often faced with the challenge not to cause unhappiness or break homes, because most of the husbands accuse their wives of unfaithfulness and send them out."

A colleague concurred with the professor's findings, saying: "In about 20% of the mothers that I have managed, their spouses were HIV negative," according Dr. Ebun Adejuyigbe Department of Peadiatrics, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria.

Unfaithfulness, which is the most common reason one partner may test HIV positive while the other remains negative, does not completely explain the medical possibilities. Professor of Gynaecology, Dr Sagay, said that despite ongoing research, the causes are still largely unknown. Some causes have been traced to the interrelation of the several factors ranging from transmission rates due to anatomical structure of male and female genitals where men are less vulnerable to contracting the virus than women; virulence of HIV strains; circumcision factors and level of sexual experience at the point of marriage.

The biological or anatomical Couplestructure of the female genital is such that an HIV positive man can easily transmit HIV to the woman during unprotected sex, even just at first meeting, while a woman who is positive may not transmit virus to the man. (The surface area of the vagina is wider and contains more body fluid.)Thus, transmission rate is twice as high from a man to a woman than from a woman to a man. As a result, the positive wife might not easily transfer the virus to her husband even during several intercourse periods, if she had been infected before or during marriage.

Apart from this, male circumcision is another factor that may prevent the man from the infection. Men who are circumcised are more unlikely to be infected than men who are not." Circumcision plays a major role. Men who are circumcised have more difficulty contracting HIV through unprotected sex than men who are not," Prof Sagay says. This discovery has led communities that don't circumcise their males to embark on circumcision as an HIV prevention strategy.

The virulence of HIV strain an HIV positive person carries also plays a role in serodiscordance. If a woman acquired the infection either before marriage, the virulence of the HIV strain determines the transmission rate. Researchers have established that certain strains are more virulent and are therefore more efficiently transmitted than others. If, for example, the wife has the HIV that has a less tricky recombinant character the chances of infecting the man is greatly reduced. She may have unprotected sex several times and the virus does not cross over to the man.

Sexual experience of the woman at the time of marriage is another factor. Women are more vulnerable to HIV due to reasons ranging from biological to social economic, cultural and religious factors. Young women are likely to have sexual relations with older men with more advanced sexual experience than their male counterparts, before marriage. As a result, by the time she decides to get married, she might have acquired the infection, unknown to her.

An important factor to be considered in discordance also is length of cohabitation as married couples. In most of the hospital case studies, the longest time of living together is so far 2 years. It is unclear whether the longer the cohabitation period, the lesser rates of discordance will be.

The phenomena is still being studied and there is no absolute explanation why it happens, but the existence and increase in occurrence is undeniable. I call it one of those natures aberration.

I have been following this thread, saw it in 2011, felt really bad for Kenya28. Please guys, don't subject this lady to another experience because it will be very devastating if she is not healed.

Two things to consider here:

1) If Joagbaje prays for her and she is not healed, he will blame her for not having faith or for being hot tempered.

2)If he prays for her and she gets healed, she will be panicking everyday monitoring what she does, think or say so that she will not sin and loose the CE healing according to joagbaje.

Lastly,

I will beg Joagbaje and whoever that wants to prove this challenge to do the below as it will bring people to God or make people seek medical solution as always recommended.

Challenge:

There are many sick people out there with any of the following, Ebola (which we can confirm easily), cancer, Diabetes or any known sickness.

All we need is REAL proof from the patient's family/friends and medical records that the person has been sick. I will pay for flight for the CE personell that will go there and pray for the person (if the person is far away).

I cannot believe we are surrounded by sick people and this argument has been going on for years without easy proof from both sides.

I am definitely in for a challenge anytime. Over the years, I have put my money where my mouth is and offered half a million Naira to anyone who would provide evidence to the miraculous cure of certain ailments (which I listed) through faith healing; unfortunately nobody seem to have claimed that bounty.

This time around, I want to renew my proposition and I'm willing to still stake half a million Naira, plus a promise to tender apologies to Pastor Chris in five national daily's and on Nairaland.

MY TAKE ON THE KENYAN28 CHALLENGE

I am of the opinion that the Kenyan28 challenge will probably end inconclusive for the two reasons:

1. Joagbaje has already raised a red flag with the comment below, so if she doesn't get healed, he will obviously fall back on flimsy excuses like lack of faith or the presence of sin in her life.

1. that a preliminary test be done to confirm initial status. Test will be done at a generally agreed location and result be published here before the ministration.

2. Location of the ministration be made open

3.Conclusion of the challenge to be determined only by the result of a follow up test after the prayers

However, I have my own proposition which will be less controversial and it goes thus:

MY PROPOSITION
Let Joagbaje provide a genuine case of anyone with the following conditions: Complete blindness in both eyes (preferably born blind), Complete paralysis, Complete Deafness in both ears, a child with Downs syndrome, or a child with brain damage.

Please note that I have given him the advantage so he can provide the people himself who he must have certified to be ready to receive healing.
This people must have traceable documented medical records showing their conditions are as stated above.

Over the years, I have put my money where my mouth is and offered half a million Naira to anyone who would provide evidence to the miraculous cure of certain ailments (which I listed) through faith healing; unfortunately nobody seem to have claimed that bounty.

This time around, I want to renew my proposition and I'm willing to still stake half a million Naira, plus a promise to tender apologies to Pastor Chris in five national daily's and on Nairaland.

MY TAKE ON THE KENYAN28 CHALLENGE

I am of the opinion that the Kenyan28 challenge will probably end inconclusive for the two reasons:

1. Joagbaje has already raised a red flag with the comment below, so if she doesn't get healed, he will obviously fall back on flimsy excuses like lack of faith or the presence of sin in her life.



2. I really think we should not put this woman through another emotional torture.

Notwithstanding my reservations, I will still accede to this challenge on the following conditions

1. that a preliminary test be done to confirm initial status. Test will be done at a generally agreed location and result be published here before the ministration.

2. Location of the ministration be made open

3.Conclusion of the challenge to be determined only by the result of a follow up test after the prayers

However, I have my own proposition which will be less controversial and it goes thus:

MY PROPOSITION
Let Joagbaje provide a genuine case of anyone with the following conditions: Complete blindness in both eyes (preferably born blind), Complete paralysis, Complete Deafness in both ears, a child with Downs syndrome, or a child with brain damage.

Please note that I have given him the advantage so he can provide the people himself who he must have certified to be ready to receive healing.
This people must have traceable documented medical records showing their conditions are as stated above.

While I certainly understand your intentions and also commend your efforts, I strongly feel it's an exercise in futility.
