like i said the mother is a born Nigerian,as for breaking the law, first the child is not yet a british citizen in other words the baby in question is still a Nigerian,so it does not apply, secondly you can't come to Nigeria to try a Nigerian, you first have to pass though the Nigerian courts

Not if the crime was commuted on British soil, it will be tried in prosecuted by the britsh.

There was a recent case of a Nigerian drug dealer I guess, who ran to Nigeria. He was traced, tracked, caught and with the aid of interpol, is being returned to Britain for prosecution. This is regardless of his status as either a Nigerian or British. In fact he was referred to as a Nigerian.

Keep fronting and acting like you're older than everyone, when you're one of the youngest here.

Chics and always shooting the age up, once they start messing with Uncles. Do you know how to detect a chic messing with someone old enough to be her dad? - when she starts dropping "mature" and "immature" everywhere, trying to fake her pseudo-arrival (no pun intended). grin

Can a father steal his own child

if he doesn't have the rights of a custodian parent, then he can be found guilty of kidnapping a child. If he only has the right to access/contact with the child, he cannot exceed the limits by making himself a custodian parent by fire by force.

Well, since the guy's name is on the birth certificate, I believe he's also a "custodian parent" based on the new law targeted at absentee dads. I might be wrong though.

well said, now please help me ask the girl if she had the consent of the father before she went to hide the child in uk?if am to go by what you said the girl should be arrested first for kidnapping her own child
and just for the record,it is not possible for a husband to rape his own wife, that can only happen in the imagination of the white men.the funny part is this same white men don't have laws that say wifes can rape her husbands, what a sick world you people leave in

onoja12:
after all that hope you feel better now,as for crime,is society that determines what amounts to a crime, and this is arrived at by the thinking of such society, like i said before probably in the uk a crime may have been committed but for Nigeria,no crime has been committed, and you can't force us to see things the way you see it just because you are in uk

define what you understand by the word uneducated
i can't worry about my child been taking by my wife, that because in Nigeria we encourage family not promote separation

I just read one misconception from onila about igbo people and "d child belongs to d father mentality"

Onila, who told u that?
This is how u guys keep on fabricating lies from beyond d grave. U r neither igbo so u gat no authority over igbo culture.

Just to let u and ur likes know,in my part of igboland, a child born out of wedlock solely, i mean solely belong to d mother's family even if everybody knows who d baby daddy is.
Taking them to court wont help u either. Its constitutional. U want a child,do d proper thing by marrying d lady before she delivers or u hv lost that child forever.

Ask/inquire about people's custom b4 u start generalising.
even the false cultural norms some people are using left, right and centre to justify this delusional grandmother aren't helping in any way cheesy

Chics always on crack me up whenever they say that shyte on this forum, and more time, they're the type of chics you would walk past without even noticing if you were to bump into them out there. And most of them still live with their mums, with bfs that also live with their own mums - kiddos.

drug dealing is a crime both in nigeria and the uk,so the government must work together, but a man collecting his own child isnt a crime in Nigeria,so the british government would meet a brick wall

Since the kid's surname is the same as the dad's - then his name will be on the birth certificate.

I think the chic's name is Moronke Temilola - and the child has a different name.

the mother is a sole custodian. Well obviously if he refused his paternal responsibilities right from conception, there was no way he could have "regained" them without a court order granted to him in his favour. the only way he could have had joint custody or access to the child granted to him, would have been by way of a court order, instead of having his mother take a child he does not have parental rights and obligations towards (before the law), without the consent of the mother.

in britain the woman can be king, alpha and omega and the men there wimps but in Nigeria husband and wife have equal and different roles to play in a childs life and they both have equal rights to the child

lost custody? where? in your dreams?
in which court was it decided that she lost custody? if the court ruled like you claim, why was the father not present in court so the child can be handed over to him?

you think you are in your firewood background hamlet where you can talk nonsense? you don't have a prayer, donedy. your mother would soon become the most famous nigerian criminal. her only option now is to join boko haram & relocate to sambisa forest. cheesy grin

she's the mother of the child or do you have any maternity test that proves otherwise? in the UK, all mothers automatically have parental responsibility for their child from the moment of the child's birth.......

for the fathers, certain steps have to be taken for him to have parental responsibility. grin
